Manatee from Big Little Things Stamp Set

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Night Of Navy, Azure Afternoon, and Balmy Blue. I’ve been wanting to create a card with the Manatee from the Big Little Things Stamp Set, and shades of blue would be perfect! I began by stamping the Manatee in Night Of Navy Ink, fussy cutting, and placing him on Dimensionals.

Manatee

Next, I created his background with Blending Brushes, Basic White Cardstock, and three colors of ink: Night Of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Azure Afternoon. Then, I embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and used the third largest Textured Notes Die for cutting.

The next layer was Azure Afternoon Cardstock, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die. This layer was attached with Dimensionals to Night Of Navy Cardstock, cut with the largest Textured Notes Die, which was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “Huge Thanks,” is from the Big Little Things Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night Of Navy Ink on a 1″ square of Basic White Cardstock, colored with a Blending Brush and Azure Afternoon Ink. After gluing to the “sea cow,” I attached them with Dimensionals. For a touch of sparkle, I used pin dots of glue to adhere some tiny, retired sequins.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the talented, Ann Alexander. We’d love to see what you create, so please share it on social media, and tag it #gdp528.

To CASE Ann, I began with a Petunia Pop card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Bubble Bath Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, Smoky Slate Cardstock, 1/8″ smaller, and Basic White Cardstock, 1/8″ smaller.

Featuring: Petals Of Beauty Stamp Set, Petals Of Beauty Dies, Words Of Beauty Dies, Perfectly Pears Stamp Set, Rainbow Dots; #petalsofbeauty #wordsofbeauty #thankyoucards #gdp528 #casethedesigner #case #globaldesignproject #stampinup

Petals of Beauty

Before gluing the layers, I prepared the top layer. First, I sprayed it with dots, using a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend, being careful not to damage the brush. Then, I used Pool Party Ink to stamp flowers from the Petals of Beauty Stamp Set. Next, I used Blending Brushes with Petunia Pop Ink and Soft Sea Foam Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After coloring the cardstock, I used Petals Of Beauty Dies to cut the flowers and leaves Then, I glued the leaves, and attached the flowers with Dimensionals.

“Thank you” is from the Perfectly Pears Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled with White Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. Then, I used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting, glued a Pool Party sprig, cut with a Petals Of Beauty Die, to the back, and attached it with Dimensionals. To complete my design, I added Rainbow Dots to the flower’s centers.

Patti the Panda from Big Little Things for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Meet Patti, the panda who is ready to celebrate a birthday, for this week’s Global Design Project, “reasons to party.”

By Su Mohr for GDP 527; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Big Little Things Stamp Set, Fragrant layers Dies, Petals Of Beauty Dies, Beautiful Motifs Dies, Splendid Autumn DSP, Nests Of Winter DSP; #biglittlethings #panda #fragrantlayers #bamboo #petalsofbeauty #beautifulmotifs birthdaycards #handmadecards #handcrafted #stampinup #globaldesignproject #gdp527

Patti

The Big Little Things Stamp Set has adorable, realistic, animals. Patti, the panda, said she was the cutest, and insisted on being featured on today’s card. She said she was super easy to work with. In her words, “just stamp me in black ink on white paper, and cut me out with scissors. Be careful around my ears.”

Next, she wanted a bamboo forest for her background. She said she was a growing girl, and needed to eat a lot of bamboo. To create the foliage, I cut Splendid Autumn Designer Paper, Mossy Meadow Cardstock, and Old Olive Cardstock, with Beautiful Motifs Dies and Petals Of Beauty Dies. Before gluing the foliage to the Basic White layer, 4″ X 5 1/4″, I splattered it with dots using a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend. Then, I added a strip of Splendid Autumn DSP to the bottom, 3 7/8″ X 1″, and glued the layer to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

We debated about where Patti would sit, and decided to let her sit on the sentiment label. “Big Birthday Wishes” is from her stamp set, cut with a Fragrant Layers Die. She told me I had to cut it twice; once from Basic White Cardstock, and once from Nests Of Winter Designer Paper, so I could frame the words in the green and white stripe. Pretty smart for a panda, huh?

Patti was excited to share her card with Global Design Project, and can’t wait to see what everyone creates for the “reasons to party” theme. She’ll be upset if you don’t tag it #gdp527.

Endless Love Sneak Peek for Global Design Project

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge, and I’m excited to give you another sneak peek from the January-April 2026 Mini Catalog.  You can’t have too many hearts, and the Endless Love Bundle is fantastic! I began using an Endless Love Die to cut three hearts from Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Paper. This paper is so cute! After layering the hearts with cardstock for thickness, I placed them on Dimensionals.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, given texture with the Eyelet Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Real Red card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Three Striped Hearts

Next, I used two Endless Love Dies to cut arrows and the sentiment label from Basic White Cardstock. “Hugs & kisses” is from the Endless Love Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink. Before attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I cut an arrow in half, and glued it so it looks like it’s piercing the heart.

Here is this week’s inspiring sketch challenge. See how our design team used the sketch. Then, we’d love to see your creation when you post it on social media. Be sure to tag it #gdp526.

A CASE for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Black Friday Sale Begins tomorrow!

See details below.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE our designer, Cordula De. We’d love to see what you create, so please tag it with #gdp524 when you share it on social media.

It was such fun finding the elements to create a CASE of Cordula De’s design. I began with two, Petals of Beauty Stamps, stamping in Poppy Parade Ink and Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the second largest Textured Notes Die for cutting.

By Su Mohr for GDP 524; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Petals Of Beauty, Tectured Notes Dies, Gathering Moments, Beautiful Motifs, Holographic Resin Dots; #petalsofbeauty #gatheringmoments #beautifulmotifs #beautifulpatternembossing #texturednotes #globaldesignproject #case #stampinup #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking

CASE the designer

Next, I used the same, Textured Notes Die to cut Pool Party Cardstock, which I embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. Both layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “Many Thanks” is from the Gathering Moments Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Textured Notes Die for cutting. Prior to attaching the label with Dimensionals, I glued fern branches to the back. The fern branch was cut with a Beautiful Motifs Die from Pool Party Cardstock.

To make my design sparkle, I added three, Holographic Resin Dots, and brushed the red petals with Wink of Stella.
