This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: baby. It was especially fun to make this card today, because we just found out Lily is going to be a big sister! We’d love to see your baby cards. Please share with social media, and use the tag #gdp535.

I began by cutting the adorable, Cutest Crew birds in four colors of Subtle Cardstock: Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam, and Pool Party. Then, I glued them to Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut with the 1″ square, Stylish Shapes die.

Cutest Crew Square for Baby
Thinking, small and square, I cut a square card base from Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 4″, and decorated the corners with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Beautifully Celebrated Die, and glued it to the card base. Don’t you love this die-cut?

Next, I stamped “Welcome little one,” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Storybook Friends, a retired Stamp Set. To complete the card, I attached the birds with Dimensionals, and added three Rainbow Dots in matching colors.

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is a sketch, perfect for the Easter Basket bunny’s background. I began with the bunny and his carrot, stamping them in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used their Easter Basket Dies for cutting, and added a bit of color with Stampin’ Blends in three colors: Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie, and Granny Apple Green.

Easter Bunny in an Arch
The background was created with the second largest Everyday Arches Die and Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper. After cutting, it was glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I added vines to the arch by using a Beautiful Pumpkin Die to cut Old Olive Cardstock.

“Happy Easter” is from the Easter Basket Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Fragrant Layers Die for cutting. I used the same die to make a cut from Basic Beige Cardstock for the frame, and glued them in place. The last step was attaching the Easter bunny and carrot with Dimensionals.

Here is the sketch. Now it’s your turn to have fun using it as inspiration. Don’t forget to share your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp534.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Strawberry Slush, Petal Pink, and Pretty Peacock. I hope you’ll be inspired by our designers, then create your own project. And, remember to tag it #gdp533.

The Simply Beautiful Dies make fantastic flowers, and I used seven dies to create one large, and two smaller, flowers.

Simply Beautiful Flowers
The petals were cut from 2025-2027 In Color Designer Paper in Strawberry Slush, and Brushed With Beauty Designer Paper in Petal Pink. The stamens were cut from Strawberry Slush and Petal Pink Cardstock.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, stamped with leaves and the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink. The leaves and “to the happy couple” are from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set. After stamping, I used the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder for texture. This layer was glued to a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

To complete the design with some sparkle, I added Strawberry Slush Gems to the flowers.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the talented, Marga Bultena. We’d love to see what you create, so please share it on social media, and tag it #gdp532.

I loved everything about Marga’s card, so it was fun to CASE. I used the same Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, which I layered with Cloud Cover cardstock, cut with the largest Branching Out Die. After cutting, I embossed it with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder, and attached it to the card base with Dimensionals.

Beautiful Motifs
Next, I used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut a circle from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used a Beautiful Motifs Die to cut a branch from the circle. This is an unusual die, because it’s only a partial cut.

After gluing the white cutout circle to the plaid layer, I used two more Beautiful Motifs Dies to cut foliage from Lost Lagoon Cardstock and Highland Heather Cardstock, and glued them in place.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set. I stamped it in Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Lovely Arrangements Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. Three, Iridescent Pearls were added as a final touch.

This week’s Global Design project is a theme: hearts. There’s lots of inspiration, because Valentine’s Day is around the corner. But, I like to use hearts year-round.

If you haven’t seen Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Paper, you should take a look. I “love” this pattern I cut with the largest Branching Out Die. Before layering it with cardstock for thickness, and placing it on Dimensionals, I stamped “you” in Real Red Ink. This is from the Endless Love Stamp Set; I just covered the “for” when stamping.

A heart for you
To complete the sentiment, I added “love.” It was created with a pattern of Love Notes Mix & Match DSP and Foam Adhesive Sheets. I used the same pattern for the arrow, cut with an Endless Love Die, layered for thickness, and glued in place.

The card base is White Willow Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to attaching my art piece, I embossed the front of the card base with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder.

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. I hope you’ll join in the fun, and share your creation on social media. Don’t forget to tag it #gdp530.

I’m featuring the Fragrant Layers Bundle, which is an Online Exclusive that just became available January 6th. I used a fun, “paper-piecing” technique with a die-cut from the set on today’s card. First, I cut a gingham pattern from Perennial Lavender Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Then, I placed the Fragrant Layers Die on the left side, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. This piece was glued to Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, which was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Paper-Piecing Technique
Next, I used the “paper-piecing” technique to fill in (color) the flowers. I used the same die, making two cuts from Celebratory Sips Designer Paper, which created orange, yellow, and red petals. Then, with the help of the Take Your Pick tool to pick up the petals, I glued 15 petals in place. The flower centers were cut from Woven Textures Designer Paper.

“Just a note” is from the Fragrant Layers Stamp Set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink, used a Fragrant Layers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final touch, I added three, Garden Epoxy Shapes.
