For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the designer-Su Mohr. How fun! I get to CASE myself! We’d love to see what you create, so please tag it with #gdp520 when you share it on social media.

I decided to turn my design into a Christmas card. The first thing I did was use the Just A Note Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler Ink. “May the spirit of the season bring you hope, happiness & love” is from the Jolly Holly Stamp Set.

Just A Note for Christmas
Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die to cut Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper, and glued it to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Isn’t this snowflake paper beautiful?

To decorate my note, I created pinecones, with pine branches and berries, using Detailed Pines Dies. I used three colors of cardstock for the pinecones: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie. The branches were cut from Shaded Spruce, and the berries were cut from Cherry Cobbler. Then, I added Peppermints for extra “happiness,” and my CASE was complete.

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is a theme: Autumn Love. Join in the fun, and post your creations to social media, with the tag #gdp519.

I recently received the Delicate Pines Bundle and Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper, and was excited to use these products for my Autumn card. First, I used a Delicate Pines Die to cut pine branches from Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP in Old Olive. The leaves were cut with a Delicate Pines Die from three colors of Splendid Autumn Designer Paper. And, two, Delicate Pines Dies were used to create the pinecones from Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie Cardstock.

Delicate Pines for Autumn
Next, I used the largest Branching Out Die to cut Elegant Pines Snowflake Designer Paper in the same, Old Olive pattern, as the pine branches. Then, I glued the layer to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The center panel was cut with a Branching Out Die from Basic Beige Cardstock. I stamped “thankful for you” in Early Espresso Ink, and attached the panel with Dimensionals, along with the leaves. The sentiment is from the Gathering Moments Stamp Set. Then, I glued the pine branches on top, and attached the pine cones with Dimensionals. For a touch of sparkle, I added three, Low Profile Sparkle Dots to the top of the pinecones.

I’m also sharing with TGIF’s inspiration challenge.

This week’s Global Design Project is an inspiring sketch challenge. See how our design team used the sketch. Then, we’d love to see your creation when you post it on social media. Be sure to tag it #gdp518.

Today’s card is featuring the beautiful, Season Of Elegance Specialty Designer Paper, flecked with gold. A vertical, Pretty Peacock piece was cut 2″ X 5 1/2″, and the smaller piece was cut 1 3/4″ X 3 1/4″. Both were backed with Season Of Elegance DSP in Old Olive, cut 1/8″ larger. The long, vertical piece was glued to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the right side of the card front with a Glass Embossing Folder. Then, I attached the smaller piece with Dimensionals.

Season Of Elegance
Next, I used a Scenic Adventures Die to cut the pair of trees from a Gold Foil Sheet, and glued them to the smaller piece. This smaller piece has a touch of gold, while the larger piece is the backside, without gold. You can get a close-up look at the paper by clicking on its picture in my product list below.

The word “merry” is from Merry Tags & More Dies, available to Paper Pumpkin subscribers. It was also cut from the Gold Foil Sheet, and I double-layered it on cardstock for thickness. The pretty, blue sparkles are from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins embellishment set. They are self-adhesive, without sequin “holes,” and nice and flat for mailing.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Secret Sea. We’d love to see how you use this color combination, so please share with social media, and tag it #gdp517.

I began my design by making a stencil with a Branching Out Die; cutting the center from a square of vellum. Then, I used a Small Blending Brush and Secret Sea Ink to color several branches on Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″.

Stenciled Branches
Once I was satisfied with the number of stenciled branches, I used the second largest Branching Out Die for cutting. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea Ink, and layered this on Secret Sea Cardstock, cut with the largest Branching Out Die. “O holy night” is from the A Child Is Born Stamp Set. Both layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used the same Branching Out Die, that I used for the stencil, to cut two branches from Old Olive Cardstock, and glued them in place. And, I used another Branching Out Die to cut berries from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. After adding the berries, and three, Low Profile Sparkle Dots, my card was complete.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the talented, Berdien Weideveld. We’d love to see what you create, so please tag it with #gdp516 when you share it on social media.

I used one idea, with different embossing folders and colors, to create two different cards!

Embossing Folder Fun
I began with Basic White Cardstock, cut into four rectangles for each card, 1 7/8″ X 2 1/2″. Then, I placed the rectangles on the Happy Hibiscus and Beautiful Butterflies embossing folders, and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Next, I glued four, embossed rectangles to Lovely Garden Designer Paper, and Celebratory Sips Designer Paper, both, 4″ X 5 1/4. The Happy Hibiscus card base is Strawberry Slush Cardstock, and the Beautiful Butterflies card base is Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, both 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After contemplating the sentiment, I decided on “HI,” created with the Alphabet a La Mode Dies and the designer paper. I liked the way the thin lines of the letters duplicated the thin lines of the design. After layering the letters for thickness, I glued them in place. Both cards received some Rainbow Dots, as a final touch.

Stampin’ Up! has wonderful, Everyday Arches Dies, so it was just a matter of deciding that I wanted to create a wedding arch. I began by using the 3rd and 6th largest dies to cut an arch from Crumb Cake Cardstock.

Wedding Arch
Next, I cut Basic Beige Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered it for thickness, and cut a hole in the center, using the 5th largest Everyday Arches Die. Then, I embossed the layer with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, and attached it with Dimensionals to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The Crumb Cake arch was then glued in place.

Now, for the really fun part! I adhered Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape to Basic Beige Cardstock, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I used Dimensionals to attach eight pieces to the Crumb Cake arch, and glued two pieces flat beneath the top of the arch. To complete the card, I stamped “Congratulations” (from Perfectly Pears) in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, used its die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
