Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! The lineup is at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Yay! Sale-a-bration is here! You can now get the Sale-a-bration items for FREE, with a qualifying order! My favorite item is the Heart Shaped Bundle, which I’m featuring on my card today. I began by stamping two hearts, from the Heart Shaped Stamp Set, in Melon Mambo on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I stamped, “my heart loves your heart,” in Memento Black Ink, between the hearts.

Heart Shaped

Next, I used a Heart Shaped Die to cut two hearts from Marbled Elegance Designer Paper, and glued them on top of the stamped hearts. A second die was used to cut three flowers, which I glued next to leaves that I stamped in Melon Mambo. This paper, Marbled Elegance, has wonderful, gold highlights, and is an Online Exclusive, with a link in my Product List below.

After gluing the layer to my Bubble Bath card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I added three Blooming Pearls to the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hibiscus for the Holidays

This month, the theme is Winter Wonderland. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Move over poinsettia; make room for the hibiscus! The hibiscus is flourishing in San Diego for the holidays, and this beautiful photo was my inspiration.

I began by stamping the Happy Hibiscus flower in Poppy Parade Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After cutting with its Happy Hibiscus Die, I used three Stamping Blends to complete the coloring: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight.

By Su Mohr for GDP 475; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Happy Hibiscus, Greetings of the Season Stamp Set, Thoughtful Wishes Dies; #happyhibiscus #greetingsoftheseason #hibiscus #celebrations #flowersoncards #gdp475 #handmadecards #cardmaking #diy #stampinup #christmascards #holiday2024

Holidays Hibiscus

Next, I colored Basic White Cardstock with Garden Green Ink and a Small Blending Brush. Then, I used a Happy Hibiscus Die to cut six leaves to surround the flower. Four were glued flat on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and two were raised on Dimensionals with the flower.

The branch was cut with a Thoughtful Wishes Die from Crumb Cake Cardstock, and the layer was glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” is from the Greetings Of The Season Stamp Set.

Gift Card Holders for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Random Acts of Kindness. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! 2024 Gift Card Holders

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut 8 1/2″ X 11″ cardstock into one piece that is 7 3/4″ X 10″. With the 7 3/4 side at the top, score at 6″ and 2 1/2″. Then, on the 10″ side, cut in half at 5″, making two gift card holders.

It helps to have the right tools, and Stampin’ Up’s Paper Trimmer is my favorite for measuring, cutting, and scoring.

To decorate the gift card holders, cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper: The bottom front is 4 3/4″ X 2 1/4″. The top front is 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.

Cut one piece of Basic White Cardstock for the sentiment on the inside, 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.

Use a circle punch, or die, to make a finger slot in the middle of the bottom front.

Attach a piece of Tear & Tape to each side of the bottom (inside), and close, sealing your pocket.

Cut the bands 7 3/4″ X 1″. Score at 6 1/8″ and 2 1/2″. You want that extra 1/8 inch on the scoring, so the band will slide off and on easily. Glue the band with the attached edge in front, which keeps the back looking smooth and pretty.

Decorate the bands with stockings, cut with Sentimental Wishes Dies from Sentimental Christmas Designer Paper. After adding cardstock for thickness, glue the stocking to the band, covering the attached edge.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Splendid Autumn Fun Fold Card

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Orange Theory. We hope to inspire you with our creations using the color orange today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Today, I’m combining the Frosted Forest Bundle with Splendid Autumn Designer Paper on a Double Z Fun Fold Card. First, I cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Pumpkin Pie Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″, and scored it at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. You can use the other half to make a second card. The two smaller panels were decorated with Splendid Autumn DSP, 2 1/2″ X 4″. I cut a second piece of DSP in Balmy Blue for the larger panel, 5 1/4″ X 4″.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Splendid Autumn DSP, Frosted Forest Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies; #frostedforest #splendidautumn #funfoldcards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #palsblog hop #autumn #fallcards #birthdaycards

Autumn Fun Fold

Before gluing the panels, I cut a band for the bottom from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, 11″ X 1 1/4,” scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. The band was decorated with two strips of Splendid Autumn DSP,  2 1/2″ X 1″.  The long strip was covered by DSP on the front panel, and decorated with die-cut trees. The trees were cut with a Frosted Forest Die from Early Espresso Cardstock, layered for thickness, and glued in place. I made sure not to put glue on the tree branches above the band.

Next, a second set of trees was cut from Pecan Pie Cardstock, and glued on the Balmy Blue panel. I also stamped three birds from the Frosted Forest Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on Balmy Blue DSP, and colored them with a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend. Then, I used their Frosted Forest Die for cutting, layered them for thickness, and glued them in place.

The trickiest part of the Double-Z Fun Fold is fastening the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. I find it easiest to apply glue to the folded band, because this exposes only the part that should have glue. Then, fold the card while adhering the band in place. I suggest having a “dry” run before applying glue.

The sentiment, “birthday wishes for a day as great as you are,” is from the Frosted Forest Bundle. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink, used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting, and glued it in place.

This Double Z Fun Fold card fits nicely inside our Medium Envelopes, and Basic White Cardstock can be glued to the back for a personal message.

Halloween Creature for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is “All Creatures Great and Small.” We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

This little creature is a guinea pig, nicknamed “Tot,” for “trick or treat.” Halloween is his favorite day of the year, as you can probably guess. He was easy to create with his Hearts & Hugs Stamp, Memento Black Ink, Basic White Cardstock, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. He said he blushes easily, so I used Petal Pink for his cheeks. Then, the really fun part was using his Hearts & Hugs Die for cutting, and placing him on Dimensionals.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Hearts & Hugs Bundle, Playful Ghosts Stamp Set, Alphabet a la Mode Dies, Sending Love Dies; #hearts&hugs #playfulghosts #halloween #halloweencards #guineapig ##animalsoncards #pumpkins #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stampinup #sumohr #artisandesignteam #

“Tot”

Tot’s background is Basic White Cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″, splattered with black dots from a Stampin’ Blend, and a center of Petal Pink Ink, applied with a Blending Brush. He said I HAD to give him some pumpkins, so I stamped the Playful Ghosts pumpkins in Memento Black Ink, and colored them with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend. This layer was glued to Basic Black Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, which was glued to a Gorgeous Grape card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Tot realized he wasn’t very scary looking, so he asked for a sign that said “BOO!” I stamped “BOO!” from the Playful Ghosts Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink, and used a Sending Love Die for cutting. The stick holding the sign was created with the “i” from the Alphabet a la Mode Die Set, cut from Basic Black Cardstock. Tot is very happy now, and can’t wait for October 31st!

Seaside Wishes for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Summer Vacation. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My favorite vacations are in Hawaii, so I began with Seaside Wishes Dies, cutting seashells from Basic White Cardstock and Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. Then, I used the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder to emboss the sand dollar, and gave it slight color with Crumb Cake Ink and a Blending Brush.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Seaside Wishes Bundle, Beauty Of The Deep, Thoughtful Journey DSP, So Swirly Embossing Folder, Deckled Rectangles Die, Flat Pearls; #seasidewishes #beautyofthedeep #sanddollars #seashells #seaweed #summer #handmadecards #diy #crafting #cardmaking #stamping #stampinup #artisandesignteam #sumohr #beach

Seaside Sand Dollars

The seaweed and starfish are from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set. The seaweed was stamped in Basic Beige Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Seaside Wishes Die. The star fish was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink On Basic Beige Cardstock, and cut with a Beauty of the Deep Die.

The background is Crumb Cake Cardstock, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles die, and embossed with the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder. After  layering it for thickness, I attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The card base was embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.

The sentiment, “sometimes the simplest things mean the most,” is from the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Seaside Wishes Die, and colored with Crumb Cake Ink and a Blending Brush. After gluing, and attaching everything, I added three Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls.
