4 Seasonal Sale Products

Next, I used a Decorated Pine Die to cut the pine bough from a Copper Foil Sheet.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5″, embossed with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder. This was glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die, and attached with Dimensionals. “From our home to yours,” is from the Leaves Of Holly Stamp Set.

Tucked under the sentiment label are two, Jingle Bell Trinkets. They are metal, flat, and attached with Glue Dots. Aren’t they cute?

I was inspired by TGIF.

Leaves Of Holly for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Home for the Holidays, so the design team created a project for the holiday of their choice. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I love making Christmas cards, and the Leaves of Holly Bundle has become one of my favorites. It has a wonderful label die with sentiments to stamp inside. Today, it is Basic White Cardstock, with “Christmas Wishes” stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink.

The leaves on the label can be left open, or backed with die-cut paper. For today’s card, I used a green portion of the gorgeous, Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper. Do you see the tiny border of green? It was created by cutting a second label in green, and fitting the thin, green, strip, around the white label.

By Su Mohr for the Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Leaves Of Holly Stamp Set, Holly Berry Dies, Boughs Of Holly DSP, Wintry Embossing Folder; #leavesofholly #boughsofholly #christmascards #holidaycards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #stamping #stampinup #holly

Holly for Christmas

The other leaves and berries were cut from Boughs of Holly Designer Paper, giving a variation in color. And, the overlays add wonderful texture!

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with a Wintry Embossing Folder. It’s a narrower embossing folder, so I ran it though the machine twice to cover the entire card front. This layer was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, the leaves were raised on Dimensionals, and my Christmas card was complete.

Thank you for visiting, and enjoy the holidays!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on December 14th. Our theme will be Last Minute Gift/Card Ideas.

Framed Florets and Regal Reindeer

I’m having a great time using the new, Framed Florets Dies in my designs, and for today’s card, I combined an oval with the Regal Reindeer Bundle. I intended for the oval to be the focal point, but the Reindeer said he was. I’ll let you decide.

First, I used a Blending Brush to apply Mint Macaron Ink to Basic White Cardstock. Second, I stamped the trees in Mint Macaron Ink on the brushed color, and used a Framed Florets Die for cutting. Third, I used the same oval to cut Mint Macaron Cardstock, and glued the frame portion to the trees. The trees are from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set.

Reindeer’s Trees

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 14″, embossed on the top half with a Wintry Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Mint Macaron card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After gluing the trees in place, I cut the “snow” from Thick Basic White Cardstock, using a Regal Reindeer Die, and glued it along the bottom of the layer.

The sentiment and marks in the snow are from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set. “Peace on Earth” was stamped in Cajun Craze Ink, and the marks in Soft Suede Ink.

Now, for the reindeer, who was cut with a Reindeer Die from Soft Suede Cardstock. He said, since he was the focal point, he wanted to wear a Cajun Craze scarf, knowing there was a perfect little die in his Reindeer Die Set.

I attached his body and head with Dimensionals, glued his hoofs and legs, and left his antlers free. He was pretty proud of his card, and couldn’t wait for me to share it on TGIF!

I was inspired by TGIF.

Candy Cane and Mistletoe Gnome

Keep your eyes peeled for gnomes running around this time of year!

This gnome’s playground is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die, and embossed with the Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder. This seems perfect for a gnome, don’t you think? After embossing, I glued the layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

By Su Mohr for the Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Candy Cane Gnome

The gnome was easy to make with Gnome Dies. I first cut his beard and nose from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I colored his nose with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend, and glued it in place. Next, I cut his hat from Painted Christmas Designer Paper, and pants/shoes from Crumb Cake Cardstock. After gluing his hat and pants, I placed him on Dimensionals.

By Su Mohr

The real fun was adding a candy cane and mistletoe from the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle. I stamped the candy cane in Real Red Ink, and the mistletoe in Garden Green Ink, and used their Candy Cane Dies for cutting.

The sentiment that pulls it all together is from the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set. I stamped “candy cane wishes & mistletoe kisses” in Garden Green Ink, used a Potted Succulents die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Paper Pumpkin Alternative October 2022 Ho Ho Ho

This month’s Paper Pumpkin was so fabulous, I wanted to make all nine cards exactly as they came in the kit!  But, I used the punch-out words, “ho ho ho,” with the wonderful stamp set to complete today’s alternative card.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Oct 2022 Paper Pumpkin, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets DSP; #paperpumpkinalternative #paperpumpkinoct2022 #santaoncards #santaandreindeer #christmascards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #framedflorets #fittingflorets #sumohr #stamping #stampinup

October “Ho Ho Ho” Alternative

I thought it would be fun to combine Paper Pumpkin with our early release collection, Fitting Florets. The oval was cut from Balmy Blue Cardstock, and the Fitting Florets Designer Paper, 5″ X 3 3/4″. Then I taped the Balmy Blue oval frame to the back of the DSP, which enabled me to lift the entire layer on Dimensionals.

The silhouette of Santa and his reindeer is one of the stamps in the Paper Pumpkin Kit. It was stamped in Night Of Navy Ink on Balmy Blue Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. I used the Stamparatus for placement, and stamping several times for the extra dark silhouette. Don’t you love Santa and his reindeer?

Next, I glued the Balmy Blue layer to a Night Of Navy card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After gluing “ho ho ho” in place, I attached five, For Everything Fancy Sequins, to the sky.

Here are the Paper Pumpkin cards in the kit:

Happy Forest Friends and Boughs Of Holly

The darling bear from Forest Friends Designer Paper was begging to be cut, so that’s how this card began.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Happy Forest Friends DSP, Boughs Of Holly DSP, Timber Embossing Folder, Trees For Sale Stamp Set; #happyforestfriends #boughsofholly #timberembossing #treesforsale #bearsoncards #christmascards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #stamping #stampinup #cardsketches #cardchallenges

Christmas Greetings

For the bear’s background, I cut a 3 1/2″ X 3 1/2″ square of Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper. He chose this pattern, because it blended nicely with his fur. It also blended with Sahara Sand Cardstock, so we used this for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

For a detailed edge along the bottom of the square, I used a Blossoming Happiness Die to cut Real Red Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 1/2″.

Before gluing the square to the card base, I embossed the card front with the Timber Embossing Folder. The bear wanted his background to look more “woodsy,” and I liked the added texture.

All we needed was the sentiment, which we found in the Trees For Sale Stamp Set. I stamped “Christmas Greetings” in Real Red Ink on Sahara Sand Cardstock, and used Paper Snips for cutting.

After the greeting and the bear were attached with Dimensionals, my card was complete.

I was inspired by TGIF.
