I happen to know that gnomes love gardens in the Fall. Today’s card began by embossing Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4,” with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. After embossing, I used a Blending Brush to apply a gorgeous, Fall color, Crushed Curry. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Fall Gnome
Next, it was time for the gnome to appear. I used Gnome Dies to cut his Basic White beard, Basic Black pants and shoes, Gingham Cottage Designer Paper hat in Pumpkin Pie, and his nose, colored with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend. I glued the four pieces together with a tiny amount of glue, and attached him with Dimensionals.

The gnome wanted to say a big “HELLO,” which I found in the Hello Harvest Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, used a Harvest Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The gnome didn’t mind that I added a Gingham Ribbon bow to his hat, because it matched his outfit. Also, I made it thinner by cutting the ribbon in half, which he thought was important.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Stampin’ Up’s World Card Making Event was Saturday, October 1, and it was fantastic! At the end of the event, a surprise announcement was made: FREE SHIPPING on Tuesday, October 4th! That’s today, and lasts only 24 hours, so get those orders in to take advantage of it!

The first card in the event was created with the Cottage Rose Bundle, demonstrated by CEO Sara and her mom, Shelli. I’m regretting not having the bundle to make this exact card, but I used some of the same supplies to create a similar card using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies.
I began by stamping a flower, from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, in two colors of ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used So Saffron for one flower, and Flirty Flamingo in full strength, and “stamped off,” for the other two flowers.

Artistically Inked
After stamping the flowers, I stamped three pairs of leaves in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4,” and one pair that I cut using its Artistic Die. I also cut the flowers, using their Artistic Die, and placed them on Dimensionals.

Prior to attaching the flowers, I used the large Artistic Die to cut Crumb Cake Cardstock, and glued it to the layer, partially covering the stamped leaves.
For a touch of sparkle, I added three Iridescent Rhinestones.

Did you notice there isn’t a sentiment? It’s because of the TGIF challenge, “what would you do…..without a sentiment?” Without a sentiment, it makes a nice, multi-purpose card.

The Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper has beautiful poinsettias, which are fun to cut, once you get the hang of it. Stampin’ Up’s Paper Snips are the perfect tool for the job, and remember to move the paper, not the scissors.

Poinsettia Pines
The background for the poinsettias was created with two, large, Christmas Pinecone Dies. The bottom, thicker, layer was cut from Garden Green Cardstock, and the top, delicate, layer was cut from Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper in darker green. After cutting, I glued the pine layers to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink, used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. “Merry Christmas” is from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set, and I love the small size and font.
After positioning the poinsettias, I attached them with Dimensionals, making sure they covered the sentiment label just a bit.

I’m entering TGIF’s challenge this week, “cut it out!”

My second Painted Pheasant card is showing off colors that I found in a photo: Soft Suede, Mango Melody, Early Espresso, Orchid Oasis, Cinnamon Cider, plus, a Real Red Stampin’ Blend. The markers come in color collections that you can see in my Product List below.

“A pleasant little note”
Isn’t he pretty?

To color the pheasant, I used the same “ink to stamp” technique as the first card, which is painting the stamp with the Stampin’ Write Markers, using the Stamparatus. The Stamparatus holds the Basic White Cardstock in place, while coloring the stamp on the lid of the Stamparatus, and lowering it to stamp the paper, one color at a time.
The Basic White Cardstock is 5 1/4″ X 4″, which I glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the pheasant’s habitat in Crumb Cake Ink with an image from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set. I also cut a strip of grass from Crumb Cake Cardstock, using a Playful Piggy Die, and glued it along the bottom.

If you like “play on words,” you’ll enjoy this sentiment, “A pleasant little note.” Cute, huh? I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink, and used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting.
After attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I added a bow of Linen Thread on a Glue Dot.

I was inspired by TGIF.

The Splendid Thoughts Bundle has been a favorite, since its early release. I combined it with the Spots & Dots Die for today’s card.
I began with Splendid Day Designer Paper (3 1/4″ X 3 1/2″) cut with the Dots & Spots Die. Then, I used the Stitched Greenery Die with Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 4″. Next, I cut Pool Party cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 4″, and glued the three pieces to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Splendid Thoughts with Dots
Prior to gluing the Spot & Dots, I cut plants with the Splendid Stems Dies, and let them grow through the holes. For the plants, I used the foil side of Splendid Day Designer Paper, Pool Party Cardstock, and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.

The sentiment, “Today is a day to remember,” is from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Basic White Cardstock, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, set it with the Heat Tool, and used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting.

For a touch more gold, I added a few tiny, gold, For Everything Fancy Sequins.

I was inspired by TGIF.

I began today’s card with the idea of using all five of the 2022-2024 In Colors with the exclusive Playful Piggy Dies. Even if you don’t love pigs, you’ll love these dies!
The Playful Piggy Dies are part of the Perfect Partners Promotion, exclusive dies not shown in the catalogs, that coordinate with current stamp sets. They are all listed below, with links to my store for ordering.

Little Red Wagon
To begin, I used Playful Piggy Dies to cut the wagon from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock, the grass from Parakeet Party Cardstock, the flags from Basic White Cardstock, and the birds from Tahitian Tide Cardstock, Starry Sky Cardstock, and Orchid Oasis Cardstock.
No matter what colors you use, they all seem to look good against white. So, I used a card base of Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I used the Dots & Spots Die to give it a fun texture.

Next, I glued the grass to Basic White Cardstock that was cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die, 4 1/4″ X 3″. Then, I attached the Sweet Sorbet wagon with Dimensionals, and glued the Basic White Cardstock cloud, that was cut with a Waves Die.

“It’s your birthday” is from This Birthday Piggy Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Playful Piggy Die. After attaching the sentiment and flags with Dimensionals, and gluing the birds, I attached the Deckled Rectangle with Dimensionals in the middle of the card front.

I was inspired by TGIF.
