This month’s Paper Pumpkin, Sweet Sunflowers, is beautiful, and as promised, here are two more alternatives:
Sweet Sunflowers alternatives
Card #3 uses a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. See how it brings out the color in the card front?
To make the card unique, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut the Paper Pumpkin card front. Then, I used the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut the center from the card front. After gluing the larger cut to the card base, I raised the middle cut on Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped the sunflower in Crushed Curry Ink on a punched flower from the kit, and stamped the center in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then, I attached the flower with Dimensionals, along with the bees and vellum honeycomb from the kit.
“Thank you” is from the Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set, stamped in Soft Suede Ink on a label from the kit, and attached with Dimensionals.
Card #4 has a card base of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut another Paper Pumpkin card front.
This time I used an Amazing Thanks Die, cutting a “bubble” from the card front, and layered it with the word “thanks,” which I cut from a green card base in the Paper Pumpkin kit. After gluing the card front to the card base, I placed “thanks” in the hole, raising it on Dimensionals.
The Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Crushed Curry Ink, Soft Suede Ink, Honeycomb Sheets, sentiment labels, punch-outs (bees and flowers), 9 decorative envelopes, 9 card bases, and directions, are included in the kit. Everything not included in the kit is in my Product List below.
One more alternative idea will be on Tuesday. I saved my favorite for last!

For those who relish the warm days of summer, the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set, and Waves Dies, are perfect for creating beach scenes. The Waves Dies are amazing, and I had fun using the “paper piecing” technique on today’s card.
After cutting the wave from Basic White Cardstock, I colored the “cut out” pieces with a Sponge Dauber and ink (Pool Party, Balmy Blue and a mystery color), and replaced them in the holes. The mystery color was in a Sponge Dauber that I thought had been rinsed clean; an accident that improved the look. LOL
Beach Scene
For the background, I used a Blending Brush and Petal Pink Ink to lightly color Basic White Cardstock, 4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″. Then, I cut clouds, using Wave Dies, from Basic White Cardstock I had colored with a Blending Brush and two inks: Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.
Next, I decided to use a Fabulous Frames Die to cut a Gray Granite frame for my scene, and attached the framed scene to a Gray Granite card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The last step was adding detail to the frame with a sentiment and a Pelican, both from the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set, and attached with Dimensionals. I stamped the Pelican and “happy birthday” in Gray Granite Ink, and used a Waves Die to cut the Pelican, and a Sending Die for the sentiment.

The Rings of Love Designer Paper is wonderful, and you have the opportunity to earn it for FREE this month, only while supplies last. Sale-a-bration ends August 31st, so don’t delay.
I began today’s card by cutting a tree ring from the Rings of Love Designer Paper with a Painted Labels Die, and placed it on Dimensionals. This die gives it an interesting edge, doesn’t it?
Rings of Love
Next, I cut another pattern of Rings Of Love Designer Paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangles Die. Then, I layered the Petal Pink paper on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die. And, this was layered on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment, “God’s Blessings to you,” is from the Hope & Peace Stamp Set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on the same designer paper, used an Eden Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.
You can barely see the the Faux Sea Glass Shapes I used for embellishment. Sometimes I like to keep things subtle, and I liked the way they blended in with the paper.

The Flowers Of Home Dies are now a FREE Sale-a-bration item for the month of August, and two of the die-cuts are featured on today’s card.
Framed Blessing
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Prior to gluing the layer, I gave it texture with the Gingham Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is also an additional Sale-a-bration item for the month of August. You can see the complete list of additional SAB items below.
Next, I cut the Flowers Of Home, curved, branch from three colors of cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie.
I was inspired by TGIF.
After cutting the branches, I wanted the flowers to be a lighter shade, so colored Basic White Cardstock with Light Stampin’ Blends. I also wanted the flowers to have dimension, and used a Foam Adhesive Sheet, 1″ X 4 1/2″, to achieve this. The Flowers Of Home die cuts three flowers at the same time, making this an easy solution.
The sentiment is from the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping “You are a real blessing to everyone around you,” I used a Fabulous Frames Die for cutting, and glued it in the center of the card front. The Decorated With Happiness Bundle is a fun, holiday bundle, with lots of possibilities. I love the pine branch that I stamped in Garden Green, and added color with stamped Soft Sea Foam Ink. Then, I used its Decorated Pines Die for cutting.
Single Ornament
Next, I stamped the ornament in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used Light and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends for coloring, and its Decorated Pines Die for cutting.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder. This was layered on Gingham Cottage Designer Paper, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and both were layered on a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“Christmas Greetings” is from the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with the Double Oval Punch. Then, I used the same punch to cut the scalloped oval from Regals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Garden Green. After punching, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals, and glued it in place.
The last detail was adding three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the ornament.

Today’s card is a combination of two favorites from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog: Regal Reindeer, and Aspen Tree Dies. The reindeer was cut from Soft Suede Cardstock, the tree from Garden Green cardstock, the harness from Real Red Cardstock, and the star & ornaments from Gold Foil Sheets.
Tree Decorating
The background for the tree decorating scene was cut with an Aspen Trees Die from Basic White Cardstock. I glued this to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing, I stamped the bunny (his helper) from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink.
“Peace On Earth” is from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used the Double Oval Punch for cutting, which includes the scalloped, Crumb Cake, backing, and attached the two with Dimensionals.
Have you seen the Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets? They are so cute, I had to tie one on the sentiment with Linen Thread! It’s secured with a Glue Dot, and because they are flat, they are easy to mail.
