When you need a little humor, the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle is the way to go. And the chicks look great in all colors. This chick was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and colored with Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather, and the balloon in Just Jade.

Spring Chicken
After coloring, I used one of the Birthday Chick Dies for cutting, and placed her on Dimensionals. Because she was stamped on Thick Basic White Cardstock, she is nice and sturdy.
You may not notice, but I forgot to color the end of the balloon, before taking the pictures. The end is Just Jade now.

The chick’s background is Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), glued to a Just Jade card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″).
The sentiment,”you’re still a spring Chicken” is from the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set, stamped in Just Jade Ink.
“Happy Birthday” was cut with a Birthday Chick Die from Just Jade Cardstock, which I attached to a Foam Adhesive Sheet for dimension. It’s a bit tricky to remove all the tiny, sticky, pieces, but I think it was worth it, don’t you?

The white, picket fence along the bottom is another die in the Birthday Chick set, and I think it’s fabulous. This is two sections, and they attach, so you can make it as long as you want. You can see the entire bundle in my Product List below.

I was inspired by the colors at TGIF. I used Highland Heather, because I didn’t have a Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Blend.

If you looked in my freezer, it would be unusual to find fewer than two quarts of ice cream. This sentiment, from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, rings true for me. I grew up eating Carnation ice cream, followed by 31 Flavors, and now, it doesn’t matter, it’s all good!

Ice Cream
The first thing I did was cut “ice cream” from Melon Mambo, 6X6 Brights Designer Paper. I attached the designer paper to a 1″ strip of Foam Adhesive Sheet, placed the letters on top, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I turned the letters upside down, and ran it through a second time to make sure it was a good cut.
The Foam Adhesive Sheet is an easy way to give the small letters wonderful dimension, and it’s easy to peel the backing and stick them to the card front.

The background is Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″) on a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″). I added a piece of Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 2 1/2″, that I cut from corner to corner, and embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
The little flags were cut from Balmy Blue Cardstock with a Happy Die.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with Ornate Frames Dies. I get a kick out of the humorous words!

I was inspired by TGIF.

There’s only one more week of Sale-A-Bration, where you can earn FREE stamp sets. If you like birds, you won’t want to miss out on getting this free set, A Touch Of Ink, with this fabulous hummingbird.

Hummingbird & Gold Hoop
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This was layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
I stamped the hummingbird, and the flowers, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends in six colors: Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight.

Next, I fussy cut the hummingbird, and used a Layering Circles Die to cut the flowers. The one that’s approximately 2″ is just the right size to glue a Gold Hoop Embellishment to it. After adhering, I attached the bird and flowers to the card front with Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “Thank you so much,” was stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Layering Circles Die, and glued to a scalloped circle of Gold Foil to coordinate with the Gold Hoop. I glued this to the card front, a spec beneath the Gold Hoop.
Clear Epoxy Droplets were the final touch for my Sale-A-Bration thank you card.

I was inspired by TGIF.

The hand-painted designs of the Fine Art Floral Paper are so pretty, and I gave this print (5″ X 3 3/4″) some texture, so it looks like fabric.

Hand-painted “fabric”
After rolling the floral paper through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, I glued it to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I cut a square from Very Vanilla Cardstock, using the largest, plain, Layering Squares Die. Then, I used the Floral Galley Die to cut “just want to say” from the square, added texture, and glued it to the card front.
To complete the lettering, I cut “just want to say” from Brushed Metallic Cardstock, and glued the words in the holes. This is called the “inlaid” technique.

“Thank you” is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, stamped in Night of Navy Ink, and cut with a Floral Gallery Die.
While attaching the sentiment with Mini Dimensionals, a ladybug landed on the card. Isn’t it cute? Scroll on down to see how you can get some ladybugs, as a gift from me.

I was inspired by TGIF.

It’s always exciting to receive new product, and a box arrived on my doorstep yesterday. The January-June 2021 Catalog has so much to love, I couldn’t get it all at once. But, I have a feeling the Hot Dog Stamp Set and Stitched With Whimsy Dies will become fast favorites.

Puppy Love
I couldn’t wait to give the Stitched With Whimsy Dies a roll through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. This die is the second to largest, and fits perfectly on a 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. The dies are debossing tools, so rather than completely cutting, they leave a detailed, stitched impression in the paper. You can see all the sizes in my Product List below.
After admiring the whimsical stitching, I backed the white layer with Real Red Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border. Then, I glued both to a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped one of the smiling dogs from the Hot Dog Stamp Set, cut him free, and colored him with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. His smile is contagious, isn’t it?

In addition to cute pups, this stamp set also has some fun sentiments to coordinate. I stamped, “I love you, that’s the long and short of it,” on Peony Garden Designer Paper in Petal Pink. I liked the texture of this paper, rather than using solid cardstock. Then, I cut the heart with a Be Mine Stitched Die, and backed it for thickness.
The heart and pup were attached with Dimensionals, and my card, using exciting, new, product was complete. I’m already planning my next card with the Hot Dog Stamp Set that I’ll post on Wednesday!

I was inspired by the colors at TGIF.

Today’s card has Mother Hen welcoming her hatched brood. I stamped the hen and one egg in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock. After cutting, they were colored with Stampin’ Blends, pictured above: Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, and Ivory, and placed on Dimensionals.
Three of the eggs were stamped on Basic White Cardstock, and I used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting.

The background is plaid, Berry Delightful Designer Paper, part of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Berry Blessings Set with a qualifying order of $100. I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.

“Welcome” is from the Welcoming Window Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Special Day Die. This bubble die is great for helping animals talk, don’t you think?

I was inspired by TGIF to use plaid.
