Today’s card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of a card on page 23 of Stampin’ Up’s January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.
Curvy CASE
When you need inspiration, look no further than a Stampin’ Up! catalog. There you will find oodles of samples. Send me an email, if you live in the USA, and would like a catalog.
I was inspired by TGIF’s challenge, catalog inspiration.
I began with a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of basic White Cardstock, and used a Curvy Die to make two cuts. I looked at the sample in the catalog to judge the space I wanted in the middle.
There were many choices of designer paper to highlight in the middle. Rather than hydrangeas, I chose a piece of my favorite, Berry Delightful Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

After gluing the white, curved, pieces to the strawberry paper, I glued this to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I positioned the sentiment from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set on my Stamparatus, and stamped, “thinking of you makes my day,” in Garden Green Ink. In retrospect, I should have done this before any gluing, and was relieved it stamped nicely.
I cut a strawberry and leaf from the designer paper, and attached them with Dimensionals. Then, an adorable ladybug landed right on my project, and much too cute to shoo away. Don’t you think? Plus, I’ve always heard that ladybugs bring good luck.
Shhhh, she’s secure on a Glue Dot.

I can’t tell you how much I love this Berry Delightful Designer Paper! It comes in a bundle with the Berry Blessings Stamp Set, a FREE item during Sale-A-Bration, with a qualifying $100 order. Plus, it coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.
Before continuing with the details of my card, there’s a lot of excitement going on in my Stampin’ Up! world. Today, as I was making this card, a friend signed up as a Bronze Demonstrator on my Bronze Elite member’s team, advancing her to Silver. This caused a chain reaction of advancing me from Silver to Silver Elite, and my friend & upline, advancing from Gold to Gold Elite. This all happened because one gal shares our passion for card making with Stampin’ Up! products, and decided to get a 20% discount. It’s a day I’ll always remember!
“Yummilicious!”
Now, back to my “yummilicious” card. The strawberries, leaves, and blossoms were all fussy cut from the Berry Delightful Designer Paper, and attached with Dimensionals.
The background was inspired by TGIF’s challenge.
I used the Stamparatus, and the Buffalo Check background stamp, with Granny Apple Green Ink. Then, I cut the 2 1/2″ X 5″ section with an Ornate Layers die.
The Buffalo Check is layered on Basic White Cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment is from the So Sentimental Stamp Set, stamped in Granny Apple Green Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. It’s the first time I’ve used this fun sentiment, and don’t you like the way it fits the die-cut? Plus, strawberries are “yummilicious!”

I like to make good use of all my stamp sets, so I selected one that had been set aside while I was concentrating on holiday cards, the Prized Peony Stamp Set.
Peony & Gold
This stamp set has a large floral image that I stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with its Peony Die.
Next, I colored the peony with Magenta Madness and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
For the background I chose dotted, Highland Heather Designer Paper that comes in a 6X6 Subtles Collection. This is similar to what will be received for FREE by those who sign up as Demonstrators during Sale-A-Bration. You can read more details about it below.
I layered the designer paper on Magenta Madness Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5 “, which I glued to a Gorgeous Grape card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4”.
I spent some time thinking about the sentiment, and then I remembered I wanted to use a Gold Hoop Embellishment. This was my December host code gift, which I’ll be mailing to my qualifying customers this week, and I’m excited to show them how I’m using it. There is a tiny bit of Liquid Glue holding it in place. Plus, the peony is attached with Dimensionals on top of the hoop for added security.
Once the Gold Hoop was positioned, I knew I wanted a gold sentiment. The word “sympathy” from the Well Written Die Set seemed perfect, cut from our Brushed Metallic Cardstock.
There are 10 Gold Hoops in a pack, and I’m looking forward to embellishing more cards with them!

The first challenge of 2021 for TGIF was a color challenge, black and white. In thinking of this color combo, I decided a silhouette would be a good start. I stamped the swinging girl from the Silhouette Scenes in Jet Black Stazon Ink on thick, white, cardstock, and placed her on Dimensionals. I usually use Memento Black Ink, but Stazon gives a darker image.
True Love
For her background, I cut the largest heart from the Be Mine Stitched Die Set from True Love Designer Paper, and positioned my swinging girl among the flowers. To add thickness to the heart, I cut a layer of Basic Black Cardstock, and glued the two together. True Love Designer Paper is wonderful, and you can see all of the patterns in my Product List below.
Behind the heart is a layer of Basic black Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. The black layer is glued to a thick, white card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
I couldn’t think of a better sentiment than “love,” which is from the Well Written Die Set, cut from thick, white cardstock. I colored the “l” with a black Stampin’ Write Marker, so it would show against the white heart.
This is a simple card that makes me happy, and I hope it makes you feel that way also.

It’s hard to believe that 2020 is coming to a close. This snowman is happy to welcome a new year, 2021.
Happy 2021
I began my New Year’s card by cutting “Happy New Year,” from Silver Foil, using Word Wishes Dies. They are layered on Thick Whisper White Cardstock for thickness, and glued to Whisper White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. The card base is Seaside Spray Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I taped a piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon around it for sparkle. The snowdrift was created with a curvy die, glued to the bottom of the layer.
“2021” was made with Playful Alphabet Dies, Seaside Spray Cardstock, and Foam Adhesive Sheets for dimension.
Last, but not least, the snowman. I stamped him in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and used the Snowman Builder Punch for cutting. The punch includes his arms and hat, which I punched from Basic Black Cardstock, and glued in place. I touched up his carrot nose with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend, and attached him with Dimensionals.

Today’s card features the Mountain Air Bundle and Mr. Moose, coming together in a Christmas card.
Mr. Moose is walking next to a tree, cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock, with a Majestic Mountain Die. I cut a second tree from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and glued them together with the white tree a smidge higher. Voila! snow on the branches.

The background scene began by stamping a mountain range from the Mountain Air Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cutting with a Majestic Mountain Die.
The distant mountain range, in Whisper White, was cut with another die in the set, and glued together on Whisper White Cardstock.
Next, I used the second largest Layering Ovals Die for cutting the oval. It was a little difficult cutting through the layers of mountains, but I managed.
The border was cut from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper, with the largest, scalloped, Layering Ovals Die.
“Merry Christmas” is from the Cherish The Season Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, and cut with a Majestic Mountain Die, upside down. Mr. Moose needed solid ground for walking.
I punched the moose twice from Early Espresso Cardstock, glued him together for thickness, and gave him furry texture with the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder.
Sadly, we’ll be saying goodbye to Mr. Moose, because he is retiring. You can order him by clicking on his picture in my Product List below. But, don’t delay, because he is on the “low inventory” list, and when he’s gone, he’s gone.
