Oh my! You are going to want this gorgeous paper from the Sale-a-bration 5 January-28 February 2021 brochure. Everyone loves berries, right? And, this paper is spectacular!
I began today’s design with a Granny Apple Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with the first piece of yummy, berry, paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″.

“berry best”
The second layer is green plaid, cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die, 4″ X 3″, glued in the middle of the berry paper. The third layer is Whisper White Cardstock, also cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die, 3 1/4″ X 2″, attached with Dimensionals.

The three strawberries were fussy cut from the designer paper, and attached with Dimensionals. Here’s a peek at all the patterns, but you really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

“Wishing you the berry best,” stamped in Garden Green Ink, is from the coordinating Stamp Set, Berry Blessings. It gets even better, because the stamp set and paper are a FREE item when you order $100 during Sale-a-bration! When does Sale-a-bration begin? January 5 2021, so mark your calendars!

I was inspired by TGIF.

Slimline cards have become popular, are easy to make, and fit in a legal sized envelope, 9 1/2″ X 4 1/8″.
I began with Silver Slate Cardstock, 9″ X 8″, folded at 4″, layered with In Good Taste Designer Paper, 1/8″ smaller. This paper adds lots of brushstroke texture without any effort. Don’t you love it? There’s a wonderful variety of In Good Taste paper that you can see in my Product List below.

Slimline Wreath Card
With challenge colors in mind, I used Blending Brushes to color Whisper White Cardstock with Balmy Blue Ink and Highland Heather Ink. The Blending Brushes are a new item in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, and will be available January 5th. I chose this coloring method over cardstock, because of the softer look.

Next, I used a Wreath Builder Die to cut one circle of leaves from Balmy Blue, and one from Silver Foil. Another die was used to cut five sprigs from Highland Heather.

“Joy” is from the soon-to-retire Peace & Joy Bundle, which I created using Smoky Slate Cardstock and some Foam Adhesive Sheet for dimension.
“To you and yours” is from the Peace & Joy Stamp Set, stamped in Smoky Slate Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. It was easily cut by hand along the straight lines, and raised on Mini Dimensionals.
The last detail was adding a few Woven Threads Sequins.

Mr. Moose said it was time to create another Christmas card, and the first day of December seemed like a good day.

Mr. Moose says “Ho Ho Ho”
Before seeing the details of his requests, I want to congratulate the winner of my November Drawing…..Yay, Sheila G! You will receive the Stampin’ Up! Notebook and the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, plus the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. All of my customers who ordered a minimum of $50.00 will receive the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, plus one of my handmade cards, as soon as I receive my order from Stampin’ Up!
You can see my December gift offering below Mr. Moose and his card.

Now for Mr. Moose, who was cut with the Moose Punch from Early Espresso Cardstock. He wanted to be placed on Dimensionals, so I gave him three layers of cardstock for sturdiness. Do you see the cute, Real Red Cardstock, bow, tied on his antler? We found it in the Special Day Dies, along with the bubble to show that he was speaking.
Mr. Moose felt that “Ho Ho Ho” would be easy for him to say, and appropriate for the season. We found it in the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, and stamped it in Early Espresso Ink.

Things were going quite well, up to this point. Then, Mr. Moose decided he wanted a “fancy fold” card, and told me to chop an inch off the front of the Thick Whisper White card base that was 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I wasn’t sure what he had in mind, but this was his card, so I proceeded.
First, he wanted to walk on Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, 3 3/4″ X 2 1/4″. I liked this idea, so my customers could see how pretty the snowflakes were on the embossing folder they’d be receiving.
Next, Mr. Moose wanted red to match his bow, so I cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock, 3 1/4″ X 5″, and topped it with Heartwarming Hugs gingham paper, 3 1/4″ X 4 3/4″. But, that wasn’t sufficient, because he wanted a detailed edge, and found an Ornate Border Die for the top and bottom of the red layer.

We used that same die for the inside, Whisper White Cardstock layer, 3 1/4″ X 4 1/4″, and lined it up with the snowflake piece on the card front.
To complete the inside, he said Santa Claus always says, “Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas,” so we wrote “Merry Christmas” using Real Red Cardstock and two Word Wishes Dies.

Mr. Moose is proud of his card, and wanted to enter it in two challenges:
Fusion, for the sketch and “ho ho ho.”

TGIF, because Mr. Moose says his card is a magical Christmas card, and hopes you agree.

I began today’s “thanks” or “Thanksgiving” card with a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Whisper White Cardstock. The layer was cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die, and embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Stitched Leaves
Now, for the leaves. Oh my goodness! The new Blending Brushes are a-m-a-a-a-a-zing! Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I was expecting something more like a sponge, not these incredibly soft brushes. The brushes are coming soon, #153611, available Jan. 3, 2021, so put them on your list.
Once I stopped feeling the bristles, I added Garden Green Ink, and Mossy Meadow Ink, and smoothed it over Whisper White Cardstock.

Next, I used two Stitched Leaves Dies to cut the leaves from my newly, green colored, cardstock, while using their embossing dies for interior stitching. (See the first photo).
To back the leaves, I used Stitched Shapes Dies to cut circles from Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Cardstock. For the outline stitching on the circles, I used the Stitched Leaves Dies a second time. Then, I glued these cut circles to a second set of complete circles, and inlaid the leaves.
The smallest, gingham, circle was cut from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper, and glued flat. Then, I attached the two larger circles with Dimensionals.

The sentiment was cut from Copper Foil with a Word Wishes Die, placed on a Foam Adhesive Sheet. It was easy to snip “giving” from “Thanksgiving” to simply say “Thanks.” The more difficult part was removing all the tiny parts from the letters.
While I was photographing my card, a little ladybug flew onto a leaf. I decided to let her stay, and she is secured in place with a Mini Glue Dot. If you’re wondering, she is a Ladybug Trinket, #154299, part of the Dandy Garden Suite in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

I was inspired by Fusion; the sketch, colors, and theme.

I’m also sharing with TGIF, whose theme is “thankful.”

Feels Like Frost Designer Paper is so pretty, and I love this print in shades of purple and green.
The first thing I did was select the card base in Highland Heather, to blend with the colors in the designer paper. Then, I glued the designer paper (4″ X 5 1/4″) to the card front.

Christmas Tree
Next, I used two Layering Ovals Dies to cut a scalloped oval from Feels Like Frost Designer Paper, and a plain oval from Highland Heather Cardstock.
The tree was made with a Pine Woods Die, cut from Feels Like Frost Designer Paper, and layered on cardstock for thickness.
I glued the ovals and tree together, and attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

This is how I used a second piece of designer paper for the three die cuts. The scalloped oval was cut to match, the tree was from the green corner, and the sentiment was from the lightest section, so the words would show.

One of my favorite sentiments, “Blessed Christmas Wishes,” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. I placed it on Dimensionals, and my card was complete.
This exact card isn’t one for quantity, but the design could be adapted to a multitude of papers.

I was inspired by TGIF, and didn’t realize until I finished that I used the same paper as Tami!

I’m also sharing with the Paper Player’s holiday theme.

Frosty has been waiting patiently to be the focal point of a Christmas card, and today was his day. When he found out I needed circles for a card challenge, he said he was nothing but circles!

Frosty and Circles
I stamped Frosty, from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, in Smoky Slate Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then, he giggled with delight as I used the Snowman Builder Punch for cutting. The punch even made his stick arms. There’s also a hat that can be punched, but he chose not to wear it, wanting to emphasize his circular head. To look his best, he asked that I add a bit of color with Stampin’ Blends: Pumpkin Pie (carrot nose) Basic Black (charcoal eyes, mouth and buttons) Smoky Slate (shadowing).

Frosty chose Seaside Spray for his background, feeling it was his most flattering color. I used the largest Ornate Layers Die for cutting the Seaside Spray layer, which I glued to the Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing the layer, I embossed it with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, because Frosty wanted as much snow as possible. And, he wanted me to add some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, because it looked like snowballs. It does, doesn’t it?

Next, I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut two circles of Seaside Spray Cardstock, and two scalloped circles of Whisper White Cardstock for layering. The larger circle was glued flat, and Frosty was attached with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on the smaller circle, and attached it with Dimensionals. “Let it snow” is from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.
Frosty is confident he will make the recipient smile.

I was inspired by TGIF, “Going in Circles.”
