This week’s Global Design Project is a “tree” theme. See what our designers created, then play along with us, and hang your design in our gallery.
Trees are a wonderful image on cards year-round, and Christmas trees are my favorite. As a child, my family would decorate a live tree two weeks before Christmas, a very exciting time!

Trees on a hill
The trees on today’s card are from the Regal Reindeer die set, cut from three colors of cardstock: Garden Green, Mint Macaron, and Pear Pizzazz.
I cut the snowy slope from Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4 X 4″, using a Split Textures Die. This was glued to a Pool Party card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing, I stamped the bunny in Basic Gray Ink. He is from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set, and isn’t he darling? The sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” is also from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set, and stamped in Basic Gray Ink. I used the Double Oval Punch for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
After attaching the trees with Dimensionals, I scattered For Everything Fancy Sequins in green, pink, white, silver, and gold. This was the most time consuming part of the card, but worth the sparkle, don’t you think? I used the Take Your Pick tool to pick up the sequins, which helped tremendously. You can read about it in my Product List below.
