This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. We’d love to see what you do with this sketch. Please show off your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp514, so everyone can see it.

Stampin’ Up! has wonderful, Everyday Arches Dies, so it was just a matter of deciding that I wanted to create a wedding arch. I began by using the 3rd and 6th largest dies to cut an arch from Crumb Cake Cardstock.

Wedding Arch

Next, I cut Basic Beige Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered it for thickness, and cut a hole in the center, using the 5th largest Everyday Arches Die. Then, I embossed the layer with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, and attached it with Dimensionals to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The Crumb Cake arch was then glued in place.

Now, for the really fun part! I adhered Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape to Basic Beige Cardstock, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I used Dimensionals to attach eight pieces to the Crumb Cake arch, and glued two pieces flat beneath the top of the arch. To complete the card, I stamped “Congratulations” (from Perfectly Pears) in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, used its die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
