Welcome to a Sneak Peek of one of my favorite bundles in the Holiday Catalog, First Frost. This is such a versatile set, and I’m using it today for a Thanksgiving card.

First Frost Thanksgiving Card
My color scheme was decided by the Paper Player’s Challenge #405:
And, my layout is from TGIF #172:
One of the most wonderful things about this First Frost stamp set are the two flowers.
You can achieve watercolored flowers without any water or effort. Just stamp a flower on a Stampin’ Ink Pad, and that’s all it takes. Really!
I used the colors Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight (So Saffron is in my next order).
The flowers were stamped on Very Vanilla, so the edges of the flowers would blend with the background, after cutting with their dies. I also used a fabulous, little sprig die, which looks like Baby’s Breath in this bouquet.
“Happy Thanksgiving” is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and punched with the Classic Label punch.
Before gluing everything in place, I stamped the background branch with leaves in Old Olive. I’ll be using this set A LOT!
Have I enticed you to order some of the products I used in today’s card? Just click on the pictures to shop at my store. I’d love to be your demonstrator. Have a great day!

*So* pretty, Su! You hit it out of the park yet again. Love it!
What a gorgeous card Su!!! You’ve convenced me that I need to buy this set, and soon! I love your soft colors and the white die cut. Thanks for joining TGIF Challenges this week.
Gorgeous! That basket weave is a perfect accompaniment to these gorgeous flowers! I wasn’t going to get this set but after seeing these, I might change my mind!!! Thanks for sharing this with the Players this week and using my color challenge!
Hey Su…your cards are wonderful! You really are a talented card maker…your blog has become one of my favorites! As soon as I see an email from you I can’t wait to see your card— and I’m never disappointed! I would never have bought this set— I just didn’t care for it at all when I first saw it. But now that I’ve seen your card— well it’s on my list! Lol…so are those flowers just stamped once? Is this one of those distinctive stamps? Because I love the Healing Hugs rose, I’m wondering if this is the same. Thanks for all the cards you post & share!
Hi Pat, It thrills me that you look forward to my blog. I’m overwhelmed by your kind words! Yes, the flowers are just stamped once. I believe the stamps are “distinctive,” although I don’t see that they are marked that way in the catalog. I hope I never disappoint you, but you are bound to like some better than others. Have a great day!
Su…what a lovely card! You had me fooled for a minute. I wondered what an interesting embossing folder but it looks like you used the basketweave folder backwards. Great effect. So love the “watercolor” stamping… just dynamite. The sprigs were the perfect addition. Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Paper Players!
Fabulous, yet again, Su! Love this design and the soft, elegant colors. Thanks for the inspiration.
