Happy Sunday to you! Today’s Paper Player’s project is all about water sports.
This masculine, birthday card has some word play, that I imagine has been used before, but it’s my first time to say “fishing you happy birthday,” so I’m getting a kick out of it! Thank you, Hand-Lettered Prose Dies, for enabling me to write the word “fishing.”

I cut the letters “f-i-s-h-i-n-g” from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, layering them for thickness.
For the background, I used a piece of Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper in Balmy Blue, framed with Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. The card base is Thick Whisper White, matching the letters, “fishing.”
To complete the sentiment, I used the words “you,” “happy,” and “birthday” from the Well Said Stamp Set. I stamped them in Blueberry Bushel Ink on the same 6X6 DSP, and used the Merry Christmas label die for cutting. Then, I placed them on Mini-Dimensionals for extra height.
All that was missing was fish, which I found in the Nine Lives Stamp Set. I stamped a row in Blueberry Bushel Ink, and colored them with a Stampin’ Blend in Light Balmy Blue.
