BREAKING NEWS: Today July 23, Stamping Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING. It’s one day only with a $75.00 minimum order.
This month’s fun fold is showing off Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper. The fun fold design looks complicated, but you’ll discover it’s easy! Peggy Noe showed us how to do it during her monthly ZOOM meeting, and I changed the measurements just a spec.
I began with a card base of Balmy Blue Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, scored on the long side, 3″, 6″, and 7 1/4″, and folded. The top piece is 3″ X 8 1/2″, scored on the long side at 4 1/4″, and folded in half.
After cutting and folding, I added the Lily Pond Designer Paper: 5 1/4″ X 2 3/4″, and 5 1/4″ X 1″ to the front of the card base. And, 2/3/4″ X 4″ to the front of the top piece. When gluing the top piece, I glued only the portion that touches the card base, while laying folded, and flat, to insure the edges were even. I also added Basic White Cardstock to the inside, 5 1/4″ X 2 3/4″, along with a fussy cut duck.
“Happy Birthday” is from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set, stamped in Pretty Peacock Ink on the DSP. Then, I used a Happy Little Things Die for cutting, layered it for thickness, and glued it in place. For a little sparkle, I used Iridescent Discs across the front lily pads.

Super sweet Faux Step Fold, Su. Some of my favorite colors are represented in this favorite paper of mine. You’ve showcased it so well.
Thank you for your continued inspiration.

The faux stepper card is one of my favorite fancy fold. And of course, the duck pond DSP is just the cutest.
Thank you, Donna! I appreciate your comment!
So, so stinking cute! I love this fold, so thanks for the step-by-step directions.
Thank you, Sue! You are welcome!
Too cute! I absolutely love this set! A perfect pairing with this fun fold! TFS
Thank you, Tara! It was fun to do!
Such a cute card and I love that you did it with just the DSP and not the bundle. The little girl is adorable, too!
Thank you, Lisa Ann! She’s my precious granddaughter!
This is so cute! I love this suite and your card is just so bright and happy!
Thank you, Maria! I’m so glad you like it!
Su, I love this beautiful fun fold card using the Lily Pond DSP. I have not cut into my paper pack. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy your day!
Thank you, Hilda! Have fun with the ducks!
What a cute birthday card, Su! I love faux center step cards and yours is wonderful, adding the personal message to the inside is a fun idea, as well. I usually put it on the back but most people are accustomed to looking at the inside so it makes sense. I am so happy you joined the blog hop this month and I hope you will be part of the lineup next month.
Thank you, Debbie! I enjoyed being part of the hop, and seeing all the great fun folds!
Love these little ducks, gotta try making this card. Thank you
Thank you, Nancy Sue! I’ll be making this fold again!
Love the little ducks! It’s great to have you be part of the hop this month. Your little human isn’t so little anymore but is still as cute as a button.
Thank you, Karen! She’ll be two the end of next month!
