The stamp set being featured this week at What Will You Stamp? is Nine Lives.
Cat was happy to be the star of the show, so I used the Cat Punch with Very Vanilla Cardstock to make my mischievous cat. I know he is mischievous, because he has caused trouble on a number of my projects. Today, he didn’t want stripes or spots, but allowed me to give him definition by using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Ink around his body.
He insisted on hiding in cattails, because he loves catching mice there. Plus, he argued that he’s a cat, and has a cat tail, and thought it was a great play on words. I agreed, because I was anxious to use the new cattail die from the Friendly Silhouettes Die Set. The new Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper seemed to make Cat happy for his cattails, and it does look pretty, doesn’t it?
The same DSP was used for the background, which I cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and placed on a Crumb Cake card base. Cat is sitting on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Corrugated Folder. He thought that would add to his camouflage, and I like the dimension it adds.
Cat refused to say anything but “meow,” even though the stamp set has other great sentiments. Oh well, he does look cute hiding among the cattails. Can you see the mouse?
Thanks for stopping by. I’m sure Cat will ask me if you were able to see him, and thinks everyone should have some cattails. Clicking on the picture in my Product List will take you right to the Friendly Silhouettes Dies!

OMG! your #WWYS224 is perfect. It looks like my cat Mister hiding in the tall grass waiting for any intruders. lol. And the mouse, that was very clever.
I love your card! So cute with the cattails and mouse! That paper fits the mood perfectly. TFS.
Love this card Su! A great way to showcase these papers, which I’ve been rather on the fence about – the variagated colour looks great here. I would have missed the mouse had you not mentioned it – such a cute touch!
What a wonderful idea and awesome card! I have been eyeing those dies and I think your card just sealed the deal for me. So many uses for those dies.
Absolutely adorable, Su! Love that you used the Perennial Essence DSP with this card as both the base DSP as the silhouette die-cut. And I FINALLY found the mouse, LOL…
Cute card. I had to look hard to find the mouse. Sneaky aren’t you!
I ‘m a cat fan and love seeing your awesome cards using the cat punch! thanks for sharing your creativity!
That is so cute. I never even saw that Silhouette die in the catalog.
