The cute, little, puffling, from the Party Puffins Stamp Set, is making another appearance. He was upset that he didn’t get to show off his fish, so I promised it would be on my next card.

Puffin Happiness

The first thing I did was stamp the puffling (a baby puffin), and his fish, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock.  After cutting them free, I used Stampin’ Blends, for a small bit of coloring, in Smoky Slate and Real Red.

For the background, I used a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.  This was layered with Neutrals 6″X6″ Designer Paper in Basic Gray, cut with the largest, Scalloped Contours Die. This exact pattern is retired, but you can see the new patterns in my Product List below.

The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the third largest, Scalloped Contours Die. 

Before attaching the white layer with Dimensionals, I embossed it with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder, and tied ribbon around the top. The puffling thought I should add the ribbon to match the pretty ribbon around his fish. The two ribbons come in a combo pack, and seemed perfect for this card, so I agreed.

The sentiment is from the Party Puffin Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with the smallest Scalloped Contours Die. The puffling hopped on the label, not forgetting his fish, and I attached it with Dimensionals. I was happy that the scalloped edge of the label fit the layer beneath perfectly.
