Quiet Meadow is one of my favorite bundles from Stampin’ Up’s, new, 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I thought the images would be beautiful in sepia. But, what is sepia? This is what Siri tells us: it’s “a reddish-brown color associated particularly with monochrome photographs of the 19th and early 20th centuries.”

To achieve the sepia look, I began with a Thick Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I layered this with very Vanilla Cardstock that I stamped in Soft Suede Ink, using two stamps from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set; the barely legible words, and random dots.

Before gluing the layer to the card base, I gave it texture with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Next, I stamped the flowers in Soft Suede Ink on a 2″ strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used the Banner Triple Punch for the bottom. After brushing the edge with Soft Suede Ink on a Sponge Dauber, I attached the banner with Dimensionals. I used long, left-over strips of Dimensionals, so it would be well supported.

My meadow needed butterflies, and there are two in the Meadow Die Set, which you have seen in the first photo. They received the Sponge Dauber treatment, and I added them to the scene.

The word, “love'” is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, and fits perfectly in its Meadow die-cut. I tied Linen Thread through the hole, and attached it with a Dimensional.
