Happy New Year! Let’s begin 2024 with a card expressing love, perfect for Valentine’s Day, or any day. I’m happy to say, this is my first project as a 2024 Design Team Artisan, and I was thrilled to use my new Artisan watermark.

Sending Love
It was fun to use a new bundle, Sending Love, which you can order January 4. The miniature envelope was created with Basic White Cardstock and a Sending Die, and the bow was cut from Real Red Cardstock. Do you see how I lined it up to fit the plaid?

The background is Most Adored Designer Paper, 3″ X 5 1/2″, glued to a Thick Basic White card base. This DSP is one of the FREE Sale-a-bration items with a qualifying order. Prior to gluing, I embossed the card front with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder, for some texture.
“Love You” is from the Love For You Die Set, cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock. I like that the narrow letters match the width of the red bow. You just have to be careful not to use too much glue.

The darling bird is from the Sending Love Stamp Set. I stamped it in Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used its Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with a Dimensional.
Three, Classic Matte Dots were added as a finishing touch.

My layout was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project. See how our designers used the sketch, then create your own, and hang it in our gallery.
My January Host Code Gift
Place an order of $75.00 or more, before tax and shipping, and I will send you the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots in February (160 adhesive-backed pieces).

Thank you for visiting. Happy New Year!

When I use those cutout letters (Love You) I use the adhesive sheets from Stampin up. No gluey mess that way. I just put it on the back of the gold paper before I cut them out. Just a friendly hint. Love your card!
Very good tip! Thank you, Judy!
