Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Sentiment as a focal point.” We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Spooky, the Cat Punch, has been waiting patiently for his time to “shine,” and Halloween is his favorite theme.

He wanted the sentiment to be prominent, and sparkly, so insisted I use Be Dazzling Specialty Paper to cut “Happy Halloween” with Word Wishes Dies. This specialty paper is FREE with a $50.00 order during this final month of Sale-a-bration!

Spooky’s Halloween Card

Spooky said he wanted to be shiny, as well, and told me how to make him shine.

Would you like to know how to make cardstock shine? It’s really very simple. Just stamp cardstock with the Versamark Stamp Pad, sprinkle it with Clear Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. If you use Basic Black Cardstock, as I did, along with the Cat Punch, out will pop a shiny, black, cat. (You can see the shine in the last photo).

The background was built of layers, beginning with the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, a layer of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (4 1/8 X 5 3/8), next, black and white leaves from Pattern Party Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″), next, Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (3 3/8″ X 4 5/8″), and a top layer of Basic White Cardstock (3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″).

Spooky said his card wouldn’t be complete without an orange pumpkin, and we found one he liked in the Detailed Pumpkins Die Set. We cut the pumpkin from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, of course, and the leaf from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

As soon as I attached the pumpkin with Dimensionals, Spooky hopped on the card front, very pleased with his Halloween card, and his shiny fur.

You can find all of Spooky’s supplies in my Product List below.

I appreciate you visiting. Thank you!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 13th. Our theme will be Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects when participants showcase fun fold cards or 3D items that will be great for any occasion. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
