Today’s card began with a color challenge: Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight, and Blackberry Bliss. So, my mind went to a yellow sunflower and a bumblebee.

Sunflower & Bee
The Sunflower Dies are amazing, and perfect to combine with the Dandy Garden Designer Paper. You can see details of the products by clicking on their pictures in my Product List below.
I used the “frame” die to cut from Bumblebee Cardstock, and backed it with Dandy Garden Designer Paper, cut with the “solid” die. The petals match, and after some twirling around, I glued the center of the “frame” to the Dandy Garden print, leaving the petals free to lift a bit.
For the sunflower’s background, I embossed Basic White Cardstock (3 3/4″ X 5″) with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. For some added interest, I used an Ornate Layers Die to cut a Misty Moonlight stripe from Dandy Garden Designer Paper. This was glued to the back of the white layer, and the entire piece was glued to a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 /12″, folded at 4 1/4″).
Before attaching the sunflower with Dimensionals, I glued two “frame” leaves, cut with a Sunflower Die, from Thick Basic White Cardstock.
The color, Blackberry Bliss, was introduced in the sunflower seeds, cut with a retired, 1/16 Inch Handheld Circle Punch. It’s no longer available, but it’s pictured in my Product List, if you want to see what it looks like.
Blackberry Bliss was also used to stamp the sentiment, “time to celebrate,” from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set. I used the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. And, here’s the cute bumblebee, fussy cut from Dandy Garden Designer Paper, and glued to the sentiment. I placed a Dimensional beneath its Misty Moonlight wings.
I was inspired by the Paper Players.
