“…and on the farm he had a pig, E-I-E-I-O.”
This card began when Piggy found out the theme for my next Paper Players challenge was “Down on the Farm.”
Piggy promised he would sit still, and do as he was told. The first thing Piggy needed was his Petal Pink skin, which he found in the Perennial Essence Designer Paper Collection. I stamped him in Memento Black Ink, and he was easy to fussy cut.
He asked to sit by a muddy pond, and we found the foliage surrounding it in the Friendly Silhouettes die set, cut from Perennial Essence DSP.
Since birds are attracted to corn fields on a farm, we added them with Bird Ballad Designer Paper and a Stitched Shapes circle die.
The fence was made with Pool Party cardstock, a Rectangles stitched die, and the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I glued this on a Thick Whisper White card base, liking the way it brought out the white in the birds.
Piggy was very grateful for his beautiful surroundings, and especially being the focal point. So, he chose the sentiment, “This little piggy….says thanks!” He said it was an easy choice, because it’s in his stamp set, This Little Piggy.
Piggy is quite proud of his card, and looking forward to reading your comments. Please click to leave a COMMENT HERE.

Cute, cute card. You may want to start writing children’s books when you have time between creating great cards and fun explanations of just how you created them. Thanks for sharing your talent.
