I’m so excited about the lights on this Christmas tree! My project began with this little, topiary tree from the At Home with You stamp set. Garden Green was a natural choice, so I inked it up, stamped the tree on Whisper White, and die cut it with a Stitched Shape oval. The MAGIC happened when I placed five Metallic Enamel Shapes on the tree.
BAM! They became working lights!!!!!

Topiary Christmas Tree with Lights
After my thrilling discovery, I designed the card to surround my tree. The card base is Thick Whisper White, layered with Garden Green, layered with a gingham print from Quilted Christmas DSP. The raised 3/4″ band beneath my tree is from this same 6X6″ Designer Paper. The square star shape is from a Quilt Builder Framelits Die.
Do you see that it’s the same as the star on the band? I love how Stampin’ Up! co-ordinates everything.

I decided to go with traditional Real Red for the sentiment. “Merry Christmas” from the Star of Light stamp set was cut with a Bunch of Banners die.
I may have to give this card to my husband, so it can stay at my house. There’s nothing like a Christmas tree with working lights!

I hope you enjoyed my discovery half as much as I did!
