This week’s TGIF Challenge is a technique, “popping it up.” 

For today’s card I’m giving you a sneak peek of the new, Violet Dreams Suite Collection! It’s a favorite, new, Online Exclusive, available July 1! 

Violet Dreams

I began today’s card by cutting a dark pattern of the beautiful, Violet Dreams Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and gluing it to a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used a Sweet Words & Labels Die to cut a striped pattern of Violet Dreams Designer Paper, and glued it in the middle of the card front.

Next, I had fun punching out images from a sheet that’s included in the Violet Dreams Designer Paper. After punching, I used Dimensionals to “pop up” a bouquet of violets on the striped paper. Then, for added dimension, I “popped up” matching, punched out pieces, to the flowers and leaves.

The sentiment, “thanks,” is from the Help Me Grow Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on White Willow Cardstock, used a Scalloped Blooms Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
