Today, I’m going to show you how I made a striped circle.
Striped Circle
I’m sure there are other methods, but this is how I did it. First, I cut six strips of Winter Meadow Designer Paper, 4″ X 1/2″. Then, I glued them on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The Deckled Circles Die, that has a circumference of 2 7/8″, was used to cut the circle. After cutting, I placed it on Dimensionals.
You’ll have to come back tomorrow to see how I used what remained.
For the background, I cut Basic White Cardstock with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, to matched the edge of the circle. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink. “Tidings Of Comfort and Joy” is from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set.
Before gluing the layer to a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I embossed it with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder.
To complete the design I cut a tree from More Dazzle Specialty Paper, using a Reindeer Die, and attached it with Dimensionals. I love the touch of sparkle that this paper provides!
I was inspired by TGIF.

The Christmas Classics Bundle made creating this card simple! First, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/4 ” X 5 1/2″, and glued Joy Of Christmas Designer Paper, 3″ X 3″ in the corner. I overlapped the edge a bit, and then cut the Basic White Cardstock to 4″ X 5 1/4″, giving the layer a nice, even edge.
The piece that ties the design together is Shaded Spruce Cardstock, cut with a Christmas Classics Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
Christmas Clean & Simple
Prior to gluing the layer to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I embossed it with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.
The sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” is from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set. I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Christmas Classics Die for cutting. Then, I attached it on top of the Shaded Spruce die-cut with Dimensionals.
To complete the design, I added three Iridescent Pearls.
I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Today is September 6th! This is the day Stampin’ Up’s! holiday catalog is available for all to see, and orders can be placed for the fabulous new products by clicking my “shop” button!”
You can click the cover to see a digital copy of the 83 page catalog.
I’ve been showing sneak peeks of some of my favorites from the catalog, and today I’m featuring the Deckled Circles Dies, which could easily be overlooked. The set contains 14 circles!
I used the 6th and 7th largest circles to cut One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper. This paper is an Online Exclusive, along with six new papers added today. They are available while supplies last, so order early to avoid being disappointed. There is a YouTube video below.
Christmas Reindeer
The circles serve as a background for the reindeer, cut from another pattern of the paper, with a Reindeer Die. I layered the reindeer with cardstock for thickness, and glued him in place. Isn’t he cute with his scarf, cut from Real Red Cardstock.
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2 ” X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the layer with the new, Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.
“Merry Christmas” is from the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, cut with a Labels Aglow Die, and attached with Dimensionals.

For today’s card, I used One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper. It’s an Online Exclusive product, and tomorrow, September 6, there will be new additions. You can watch the YouTube Video below for more details.
I began by cutting a piece of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, in a Crumb Cake pattern, using a Christmas Classic Die.
Colors of the Season
Next, I cut a second pattern, trees in the color of Pool Party, with a Stylish Shapes Die. This 2 3/8″ X 2 3/8″ square fits nicely in the Christmas Classics die-cut. After gluing them together, I placed it on Dimensionals.
The background is a third piece of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Before gluing it to the Blackberry Bliss card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I used a Christmas Classics label die to cut a piece for the sentiment.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set, in Blackberry Bliss Ink. Prior to gluing “Season’s Greetings” back in the hole, I layered it on three pieces of cardstock, so it would have dimension.
The last step was attaching four Iridescent Pearls.
I was inspired by TGIF.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun sketch challenge. Since the 2023 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog is going live in two days, I was excited to show a sneak peek of the Joy Of Noel Bundle with Winter Meadow Designer Paper.
As I was in the midst of creating, I was looking at my options, and couldn’t help but make two cards. Do you have a favorite?
Winter Meadow Noel
Both designs have a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. And, both cards have a layer, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder. One has Basic White Cardstock, and the other has Winter Meadow Designer Paper.
“NOEL” is from the Joy Of Noel Bundle. I stamped the letters, from the stamp set, in Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the NOEL die for cutting. For the second design, I used the NOEL die for cutting from Winter Meadow Designer Paper. Both were given Dimension by using Foam Adhesive Sheets.
The four strips were cut with the second smallest Country Corner Die, both patterns of Winter Meadow Designer Paper. Isn’t this paper gorgeous?

Today’s card was created with a stenciling technique, using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, available September 6th. I will show you step-by-step how I created this “quick & easy” card.
Stenciling Made Easy
I began with an Old Olive card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The masks are 6″ X 6″, so I positioned the flower mask on top of my cut cardstock. Holding the mask with my left hand, I used Blending Brushes to add ink; first Calypso Coral around the center, then Crushed Curry to the ends of the petals.
Steps two and three, I added color to the centers of the flowers; first Crumb Cake, then Early Espresso.
Step four, I added Old Olive ink to the leaves. Did you notice the notches in the corner of the masks? This enables you to line things up perfectly, but my cardstock was 4″ X 5 1/4″, so I placed the leaves where I wanted them. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, cut with a Wonderful Thoughts Die, and attached with Mini Dimensionals. The final step was adding some sparkle with Iridescent Rhinestones.
You’re going to love the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, which has three more patterns! They are so fun to use, and easy for new card makers. This is my sister-in-law’s first card, and she is very happy with the results. Diane used 6″ X 6″ cardstock, which we cut down to 4″ X 5 1/4″ after stamping, and her sentiment is from Sending Smiles.
