Ruby the Rhino is from the Rhino Ready Stamp Set, an “online exclusive.” She is no longer in a catalog, and her dies are no longer available, but she didn’t want you to forget about her. You can order her by clicking on her picture in my Product List below.
Ruby the Rhino
Ruby asked that I stamp her in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and color her with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. If you are lucky enough to have the dies, you can use one for cutting, or, she said she wouldn’t mind being fussy cut.
For her background, I applied Granny Apple Green Ink, with a Small Blending Brush, to the bottom half of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
Next, I stamped grass, from the Rhino Ready Stamp Set, in Wild Wheat Ink, and colored it with a Wild Wheat Stampin’ Write Marker and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
The Tropical Leaf at the top is also an “online exclusive,” along with its Tropical Leaf Punch. I stamped the leaves in Old Olive Ink, and the veins in Memento Black Ink, and used the punch for cutting. Two leaves were glued flat, and one was lifted with Dimensionals. Before gluing my layer to the Wild Wheat card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I trimmed the edges off of the leaves.
I left just enough space for Ruby to say,”hello, friend.” This is one of five sentiments in the Rhino Ready Stamp Set.

Today’s card began with pussy willows from Earthen Elegance Designer Paper, cut with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles Die. Then, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut Crumb Cake Cardstock to layer behind the pussy willows. Both layers were glued to a Thick Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Petals & Pussy Willows
Prior to gluing the layers to the card base, I embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Stripes Embossing Folder. This folder comes in a set of two, with the Splatters Embossing Folder. You can see the details in my Product List below.
Next, I used Paper Florist Dies to cut the flower from Hello Irresistible Designer Paper. First, I cut five large petals, curled them with a Bone Folder, and used Glue Dots to attach them to a circle. Second, I cut smaller petals, glued them together, and attached them to the larger petals with Dimensionals. Third, I cut the center from iridescent Rose Gold Specialty Paper. I love the multi-colored shine!

The sentiment is from the Gorgeously Made stamp set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, used a Gorgeously Made Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Meet Dancer, a Zoo Crew character, who has been telling everyone she is one of Santa’s reindeer. Therefore, she has been patiently waiting to be featured on a card for Christmas in July. She waved goodbye to her friends, as I snipped her from the designer paper, and I colored her flower Real Red, as she requested.
Dancer the Reindeer
Dancer had a specific design in mind for her background, created with the Labels Aglow Dies and Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. After using the dies to cut holes in the cardstock, I glued it to Granny Apple Green Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. She said I had to use this color green, because it matched her skirt, but she wanted Garden Green for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The stamp set that coordinates with Labels Aglow Dies has wonderful holiday sentiments, and Dancer knew what she wanted to say.
I stamped “Let your heart be light” in Real Red Ink, used a Labels Aglow Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. We’ll say “Merry Christmas” on the inside.

Today’s card is all about summer vacations. Whether you stay at home, or travel abroad, “live your biggest dream.” This dreamscape was framed with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Radiating Stitches Die.
After cutting the frame, I glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Outdoor Scene
The center of the frame was cut from Masterfully Made Designer Paper, with the second largest Radiating Stitches Die. Doesn’t it make a pretty, outdoor scene?
The Radiating Stitches Dies are not in the catalog, but are an online exclusive, available while supplies last. Click on the picture, in my Product List below, for details.
To create a dream-like quality to the scene, I added a stamped image from the Scenic Wonders Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used Paper Snips to “fussy cut,” and attached it with Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “live your biggest dream,” is also from the Scenic Wonders Stamp Set, and stamped in Pretty Peacock Ink. I used two Deckled Rectangles Dies for cutting it to the desired size, and glued it in place.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Susan Wong’s fun project.
See how our designers “cased” Susan, then join in the fun, and add your design to our gallery.
I love Susan’s night sky and green trees, and couldn’t wait to give it a try. First, I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut a hole in scratch paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, making a stencil. I placed the stencil on top of Basic White Cardstock of equal size, securing it with Painter’s Tape.
God’s Blessings
Second, I applied three colors of blue ink with Blending Brushes, starting at the bottom with Tahitian Tide. Third, I moved to the top and applied Night of Navy, finishing in the middle with Blueberry Bushel Ink. It’s always fun to remove the stencil, and see what lies beneath! To complete my sky, I added tiny dots of Wink of Stella, making perfect little stars.
Before gluing my sky to a Night Of Navy card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink. “God’s blessings to you” is from the Hope & Peace Stamp Set, available in Online Exclusives, which you can find by clicking on its picture in my Product List below.
This is my first Christmas card for 2023, although, this sentiment could be for many occasions.
To complete the design, I cut three trees from Shaded Spruce and Garden Green Cardstock, and attached them with Dimensionals. The tree is from the Reindeer Die Set, a favorite from last year, and is in our current Annual Catalog. The Regal Reindeer Stamp Set has a darling, Gray Granite, bunny, who hopped on at the last minute. Think we should let him stay?

The Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set is adorable! You can stamp the images, and use “frame” dies for cutting, or, fussy cut as I have done for today’s card. This set is also great for #simplestamping, where there’s no cutting at all, just stamps, ink and paper.
Bird Friends
I began by stamping two of the birds in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and coloring with three Stampin’ Blends: Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, and Pumpkin Pie (beaks).
The stamp set provided a tree limb for perching, which I stamped in Memento Black ink, and colored with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I also stamped the trio of leaves three times, and colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
Prior to stamping the tree limb and leaves, I gave the Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″) some light color with a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink.
The sentiment, “so glad you’re in this world with me,” is from the Scenic Wonders Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, before gluing my scene to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The last step was attaching the two birds with Dimensionals. They are too cute!
