Masterfully Made Designer Paper is so colorful, and it’s fun to cut with Gorgeous Garden Dies. To fit the dimensions of a sketch (it’s below), I cut the leaves from a 2 3/4″ X 4 3/4″ section of the designer paper.

Next, I prepared the background of Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, by giving it texture with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. The white layer was glued to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I glued the die-cut leaves in place.
This embossing folder is not in the catalog, but is an Online Exclusive in a package of three embossing folders.You can see the details in my Product List below.
For the circle in the sketch. I used two Stylish Shapes Dies to cut Gorgeously Made DSP, and attached them with Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “thank you,” is from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink on Masterfully Made DSP, used Stylish Shapes Dies for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
I almost forgot to mention the three, green, 2022-2024 Matte Dots I added. Aren’t they cute?

One of my favorite stamp sets, that doesn’t include dies, is Just My Type. There’s so much that can be done with the nostalgic images. If you want to add dimension to the typewriter, as I have done here, it’s easy to cut with Paper Snips. Prior to cutting, I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock.
The paper in the typewriter was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Masterfully Made Designer Paper, the same pattern as the background. After stamping, I used paper Snips for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals with the typewriter.
Typewriter & Torn Paper
The background is Masterfully Made Designer Paper, created from torn paper, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. I used a Gorgeously Made Die to trim the sides for an additional look of torn paper. This was glued to a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I stamped the letters, “H E L L O” in Fresh Freesia Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a 3/4″ (retired) Punch. I rarely use retired items, but I wanted you to know that this is the size that fits the letters perfectly. On a previous card, I used a Stylish Shapes Die that was a spec too large.
To complete my card, I HAD to use the cute, little, paper clip that’s in the stamp set.

Today is the day, 24 hours only, so don’t delay. All of the stamp sets in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog are on sale! I’ve listed the new “stand alone” stamp sets below, but you’ll want to click here to see all of them.
For today’s card, I’m using a favorite, “carry-over” set, Taco Fiesta. Some of my favorite stamp sets are “carry-overs,” and they are all on sale also. This is a clean & simple card with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, trimmed on the sides with a Gorgeously Made Die.
“Long time, no TACO”
The taco and chips were stamped in Pecan Pie Ink, and the tomato was stamped in Poppy Parade Ink, on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, they were fussy cut, and colored with Stampin’ Blends in several colors: Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Poppy Parade.
The food is on a mat, created with Thick Basic White Cardstock and a Chic Die.
The sentiment, “Long time , no TACO,” is from the Taco Fiesta Stamp Set. Doesn’t it make you laugh? I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, and used a Gorgeously Made Die for cutting.

The latest news!!!
Find yourself staring at multiple stamp sets from the 2023–2024 Annual Catalog and can’t decide which ones to get? You won’t have to stare for much longer because on 19 July 2023, you can get those stamp sets you’ve been wanting at a 15% discount! Now, for today’s card, using the fringe die in the Beautiful Balloons Die Set. To begin, I cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 1 1/2″, and used the fringe die along the edge for cutting. The fringe was set free by trimming 1/16″ off the bottom, or you could accomplish this by placing the die a spec over the edge before running through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Ladybug and Fringe
Next, I cut a third piece of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 2 1/4″, and embossed it with a 3D Basics Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is not in the catalog, but is an Online Exclusive in a package of three embossing folders.You can see the details in my Product List below.
After gluing the three white pieces to a lemon Lime Twist card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I cut a circle from Masterfully Made Designer Paper, and attached it with Dimensionals. This was cut with the third largest Stylish Shapes circle die. Then, I used the fourth largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut a Basic White Cardstock circle for the sentiment.
“May your greatest wish come true” is from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.
Last, but not least, the ladybug. I used the Ladybug Builder Punch to cut her from Basic Black Cardstock, and her wings from Basic White Cardstock. Prior to punching her wings, I used a Hello Ladybug stamp to stamp them in Berry Burst Ink. The wings were attached with glue at the neck, and lifted with Mini Dimensionals. Then, she flew onto the card front, and attached herself with Dimensionals, ready to make someone’s greatest wish come true!

This week’s Global Design Project is all about stripes, and the Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper has wonderful stripes! You can see all of the patterns in my Product List below.
I chose Lemon Lolly stripes for my background, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″, bordered by Zoo Crew Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5″. After gluing the two together, I attached it with Dimensionals to a Lemon Lime Twist card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Stripes and a Bird
Next, I stamped the darling, small, bird from the Bird’s Eye View Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored her with Stampin’ Blends. She needed at place to perch, so I used a Gorgeously Made die to cut a “tree” from Masterfully Made Designer Paper. After gluing the center of the tree, in the middle of the background, I gently lifted the ends of the branches, that weren’t glued, for dimension.
The sentiment, “thinking of you,” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting. The sentiment gives the tree a nice base, by attaching it with Dimensionals at the bottom of the “trunk.”
An afterthought was to decorate the envelope flap with the Stripes Embossing Folder. More stripes! It’s a narrow embossing folder, and comes with a Splatters Embossing Folder, which you can see in my Product List below.

When I saw the card challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, I knew I would use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut three circles.
But, what would fill the circles? I was in a daisy mood, so I chose Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper, cutting the larger circle from a daisy pattern, and two smaller circles in solid colors. Then, I cut a striped, horizontal strip, 4″ X 3/4″, and glued the two solid circles and strip on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 /14″.
Daisies and Dots
After gluing, I added texture with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. This dotted embossing folder is not in the catalog, but is an Online Exclusive in a package of three embossing folders.You can see the details in my Product List below.
The embossing shrunk the cardstock a bit, which I cut to an even 3 3/4″ X 5″. Then, I gave the embossed layer a 1/16″ border of Daffodil Delight Cardstock, by cutting it 1/8″ larger. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“You made my day” is from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set, stamped it in Pebbled Path Ink, and cut with a Sending die.
After attaching the sentiment and circle of daisies with Dimensionals, my card was complete.
