Lovely Blossoms for Stampin’ Fancy Friday

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month it’s a “Blooming Florals” challenge.

I began with a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This was layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Before gluing to the card base, I added a 1″ by 5 1/4″ strip of Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper to the left side. Then, I used a Petals Of Beauty Die to cut the branch of leaves from Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper; once from an Old Olive pattern, and once from a Cloud Cover pattern. After gluing the Old Olive branch to the card front, I used the Cloud Cover “cut-outs” to fill in the leaves. This paper piecing technique is really fun, and the Take Your Pick Tool makes it much easier.

Lovely Blossoms

Next, I used a Petal Of Beauty Die to cut three flowers from Thick Basic White Cardstock. The stamens were cut with a Simply Beautiful Die from Lovely Patterns Designer Paper in a Secret Sea pattern. After gluing the stamens to the flowers, I attached them with Mini Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “you help me grow,” is from the Help Me Grow Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink, and my card was complete.

Easter Time For You

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

I began today’s card by gathering three, “punch-outs” from the Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera Pack: bunny, egg, and wreath. Then, I chose a background of Lovely & Beautiful Designer Paper, and used the largest, Branching Out Die for cutting. This layer was glued to a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Easter Time

Next, I stamped “for you,” from the Easter Basket Stamp Set, in Highland Heather Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After using a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting, I glued the circle to the back of the wreath. The bow was cut with an Easter Basket Die from Love Notes Mix & Match DSP, and attached with a Dimensional.

To complete the card, I attached the wreath and egg with Dimensionals. Then, I attached the bunny with doubled Dimensionals, so he is raised above the wreath and egg. For some extra sparkle, I added three, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. The inside has Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest, Branching Out Die, and stamped with “Happy Easter” from the Easter Basket Stamp Set.

Sending Beach Smiles for Global Design Project

It’s theme week at Global Design Project, so we’re spending some time at the “beach.” I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. Prior to attaching the layer with Dimensionals, I embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. You need to have waves at the beach, right?

Sending beach smiles

For more waves, I used a Paradise Garden Die to cut four banners. The yellow and blue banners were cut from Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper. The sun (Crushed Curry Ink), and “hello summer” (Balmy Blue Ink) are from the Choose Happy Stamp Set. The Basic White Cardstock banner was stamped in Crushed Curry Ink, with “sending smiles” from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set.

The fourth banner was cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock. I used the Mini Alphabet Die with Country Woods Designer Paper and Foam Adhesive Sheets to cut the word “beach.” Then, I glued the banners to the embossed card front.

As a final detail, I embellished the design with pearls, dots, and gems, which are in my Product List below.

My Swap Card for OnStage

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

For my OnStage swap card, I wanted it to be “special,” but one that I could make fairly quickly. I began by cutting Pecan Pie Cardstock with the largest Everyday Arches die. To create this arched card base, I lined up the die just over the fold of a regular card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

OnStage Swap Card

Next, I used the third largest Everyday Arches Die, and cut Basic Beige Cardstock. Then, I stamped “love you bunches,” from the help Me Grow Stamp Set, in Early Espresso Ink. After stamping, I embossed it with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, and glued it to the card front. Also, I used a Help Me Grow Die to cut leaves from Old Olive cardstock, and glued them in the center of the arch.

The carrots are from the Easter Basket Bundle. I stamped them in Early Espresso Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, and colored them with Stampin’ Blends in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. For the inside, I used the third largest Everyday Arches Die to cut Very Vanilla Cardstock, and glued it in place.

Lovely Arrangements Fun Fold for the Pals Blog Hop

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s Stampin’ Pretty Pals Blog Hop is all about Birthday Celebrations. Whether you love bright and playful designs, elegant birthday greetings, or quick and simple projects, you’ll find plenty of inspiration along the hop.

For this month’s birthday card, I created a  triple fold-out, Fun Fold.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Lovely Arrangements Bundle, Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper; #lovelyarrangements #lovelyblossoms #handmadecards'handcrafted #stampinup #palsblog hop #birthdaycards #funfold

Lovely Arrangements Fun Fold

I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 4 1/4″ X 11″. Then, I scored on the 11″ side: 2 1/2″, 3 3/4″, 6 3/4″, and 8 1/4″, and burnished the score lines (mountain/valley, mountain/valley). Next, I cut three pieces of Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper (Secret Sea pattern): front panel 3 1/8″ X 4″, middle panel 4″ X 4″, and back panel 2 1/4″ X 4″. Then, I cut Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper for the first two panels, and Basic White Cardstock for the third panel, 1/8″ smaller.  After gluing these together, I glued  the panels to the folds, as shown. I was careful not to add glue to the portion that remains “free.”

To decorate the front panel, I used Lovely Arrangements Dies to cut Basic White Cardstock, and Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper. After cutting, I attached the “trellis” with Dimensionals, and glued the leaves in place.

“Happy Birthday’ is from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink,  and used a Lovely Arrangements label die, for cutting. Then, I used a second, Lovely Arrangements label die to cut Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper, glued the two together, and glued the sentiment in place.  The third panel is ready for a personal, birthday message with a simple decoration of die-cut leaves.

Keep the inspiration going! Follow the lineup below to hop through each blog, and enjoy the great ideas. Next month we’re creating projects for the guys, young and old, in our lives. You won’t want to miss it!
