Hold on to your hat! You are going to LOVE this new bundle, Translucent Florals. This bundle will be in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog, available in September. On June 24th we were able to use this bundle to craft along with Stampin’ Up! employees, and fellow demonstrators for 3 1/2 hours. What fun to see this bundle in action! After Creativity Now, I came up with my own design, which I’m sharing with you today. I thought the beautiful leaves would make a great edge for the card, so I prepared the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, by cutting an inch off of the card front. Then, I embossed it with the Splatters Embossing Folder. This is a narrower embossing folder that comes with the Stripes Embossing Folder, and was just the right width!
Translucent Florals Sneak Peek
Next, I stamped the branch of leaves in Mossy Meadow Ink, two times, on Basic White Cardstock, and used its die for cutting.The flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo Ink, and cut with their dies.
All of the “Distinktive” images stamped beautifully the first time. You will love these stamps!
After stamping and cutting the leaves and flowers, I adhered them along the edge of the card front.
The sentiment is from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cut with a Timeless Arrangements Die. I added a small flower and stem, and attached it with Dimensionals.
I completed the sentiment, “Wishing you all the happiness in the world,” with “Happy Birthday” on the inside. Three 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots were added as a final touch.

Summertime has arrived, and the long, warm, beach days are here! My husband and I recently spent several glorious days at the Hotel Del in Coronado, right on a fabulous beach.
Memories will live on in today’s card, perfect for the first day in July. The seashells were cut with Chic Dies from Dry Brushed Metallic Paper. The larger shell is backed with Lost Lagoon Cardstock, and the smaller shell has two inlays from a gold portion of the Dry Brushed Metallic Paper.
Seashells and Pearl
The shells are glued to a circle, cut with the second largest Stylish Shapes Die from Earthen Elegance Designer Paper. The background is Earthen Elegance Designer Paper, bordered with Lost Lagoon Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The designer paper was cut 1/8″ smaller to give it a 1/16″ border. The card base is Gray Granite Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment, “You are a pearl, rare and precious,” is from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set. I stamped it in Gray Granite Ink on Earthen Elegance DSP, and used the smallest Stylish Shapes Die for cutting. After layering it on cardstock for thickness, I attached it with Dimensionals. This created a nice, little space for the pearl.
Prior to attaching the sentiment, I stamped some extra sand with a Seaside Bay stamp and Gray Granite Ink. How do you like the shine from this angle?

If you have a friend who knits, isn’t this the perfect card? I began with the triple frame, cut with Radiating Stitches Dies. The largest and smallest dies were used to cut Hello Irresistible Designer Paper. The second largest Radiating Stitches Die cut Basic White Cardstock, which was glued inside the frame to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Lolly the knitting Llama
After attaching the smallest rectangle with Dimensionals, it was time for the knitting llama, named Lolly, to hop on. She was fussy cut from the Zoo Crew Designer Paper, and told me to be careful not to cut off her ears.
She likes to say, “hey there!,” which we found in the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used its Sentiment Silhouettes Die for cutting.
Lolly wanted some sparkle, so we added three Iridescent Rhinestones in small, medium, and large.
The Radiating Stitches Dies and Hello Irresistible Designer Paper are both Online Exclusives, so you won’t find them in a catalog. Clicking on the pictures in my Product List will take you there. The Masterfully Made Designer Paper has fabulous patterns of color, that I wanted to show on a single card. A slimline card was the answer! For the card base, I cut Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″.
Next, I cut Masterfully Made DSP, 2 1/8″ X 7 3/4″, and backed it with cardstock for thickness. Then, I cut a layer of black & white patterned, Zoo Crew Designer Paper, 2 1/2″ X 7 3/4″, and glued both to the card base.
While I was looking though the Zoo Crew Designer Paper, several critters hopped out, and attached themselves to the card front on Dimensionals.

The animals looked so happy on the bright colors, this card needed to say, “Happy Birthday.” I cut the words from Basic White Cardstock, and the backing from Basic Black Cardstock, using Wanted To Say Dies. After gluing them together, I attached them with Dimensionals.

The Paper Florist Dies are so much fun to use, and the “fringe” die in the set was the beginning of today’s card. It’s the miniature version of the “fringe” die in the Beautiful Balloons Die Set, and I cut three strips from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I cut one in half, and glued the four pieces in two vertical rows on Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5 “.
After “fluffing” the fringe, I created the flower with Paper Florist Dies, cut from Basic White Cardstock that was colored with Moody Mauve Ink and a Blending Brush. Additional dies were used for the center of the flower (Moody Mauve Cardstock and Basic White Cardstock), and leaves (Granny Apple Green Cardstock).
Trust in the Lord
The circle behind the flower was cut with the second largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Die Set. I colored it with an Artistic Mix Mask, Moody Mauve Ink, and a Blending Brush, and placed it on Dimensionals. This stenciling technique is a favorite!
The Bible verse, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Proverbs 3:5,” is from the Courage & Faith Stamp Set, stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink. This ink color matches the Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I used another Courage & Faith Stamp to stamp some dots in Lost Lagoon Ink.

For Global Design Project’s 400th challenge we are “caseing” the founders, Louise Sharp and Kylie Bertucci. That’s a lot of challenges! See how our designers “cased” their cards, then add your design to our gallery.
I chose the Textured Floral Stamp Set, because of the beautiful watercolored images. This look is achieved with the “Distinktive” stamps, and you can see the entire set in my Product List below. The stamp set also has dies, which I’ll be using in the future. You’ll want to get both in a “bundle” for a 10% savings.
I began with a Gray Granite card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with a layer of Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper, 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″. Prior to gluing it to the card base, I gave it texture with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is available in “Online Exclusives,” and clicking on the picture in my Product List will take you there.
Textured Floral “CASE”
Next, I stamped the Textured Floral flower in Bubble Bath Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive, and the center was stamped in Wild Wheat, and a tiny stamp of Gray Granite. After stamping, I used a Deckled Rectangles Die, 3″ X 4 1/2″, for cutting, and a larger die to cut the bottom for the finished size, 3″ X 3 1/2″. Then, I glued the flower to Gray Granite Cardstock, 3 1/8″ X 3 5/8″, and placed it on Dimensionals.
Before attaching the flower to my card front, I wrapped it with Linen Thread, and tied a bow. The sentiment, “with a grateful heart” is from the Textured Floral Stamp Set. I stamped it in Gray Granite Ink, used a Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
