Tag a Card with Something Fancy

The Something Fancy Bundle has much to offer, and a favorite from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. It has ten wonderful sentiments with twelve dies that not only layer, but can be converted to tags. It’s pictured in the catalog on pages 14 -17, as part of the Fancy Flora Suite. The Fancy Flora Designer Paper is fabulous, and you can see all of the patterns in my Product List below.

For today’s card, I cut a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Fancy Flora Designer Paper in natural tones. This was glued to a Soft Suede card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The focal point is a layered tag, tied at the top with Burlap Ribbon. Don’t you love the stitching? The ribbon is the color of burlap, but it’s actually very soft, and comes in a combo pack with red ribbon.

The larger tag was cut from Soft Succulent Cardstock, and the smaller tag was cut from a white portion of the Fancy Flora Designer Paper. Prior to tying them together I stamped The sentiment in Evening Evergreen Ink. “Thank you” is from the Something Fancy Stamp Set.

Something Fancy Tagged

After stamping, I gave the tag texture with the Timeworn Type embossing Folder, and attached the double tag with Dimensionals.

As a final touch, I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Fragrant Flowers for Global Design Project 376

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Connie Collin’s fantastic card. See how our designers “cased” Connie, then join in the fun, and add your design to our gallery.

I began with the large, floral image, from the new Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set, stamping it in Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then, I used its Fragrant Flowers Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.

Fragrant Flowers Thanks

For the background, I used the same, Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, with Very Vanilla Cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″. However, I used the “debossed” side, and layered it on Pool Party Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. This was layered on an Early Espresso Card Base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The large sentiment is also from the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with it Fragrant Flowers Die. I attached it with Dimensionals, across the flowers, and my card was complete. Thank you, Connie!

Love For You in Three Colors

Today’s card developed with three colors in mind, and a variety of products, including dies from three new sets, and a new punch.

Sometimes it’s fun to look through a hole in a wall, isn’t it? I created this hole in Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/5″) by cutting it with the largest Layering Circles Die. After cutting, I embossed the area surrounding the hole with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.

Through a Brick Wall

The sky, seen through the wall, was smoothed onto Basic White Cardstock, also 4″ X 5 1/4″, with Balmy Blue Ink and a Blending Brush.

I attached the two together with the edges of Dimensionals, which I photographed for you to see. It may have been overkill, but I wanted my brick wall to have a firm foundation. LOL! My sky and brick wall layers were then glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The vine growing around the hole was cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock, using a new, Dainty Delight Die. It’s a very special vine that grows hearts this time of year.

The larger heart was punched from In Color 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Polished Pink, using the new, Country Bouquet Punch. The five tiny hearts were cut from the same designer paper, using a new, Around the Bend Die. To give the hearts dimension, I used a Foam Adhesive Sheet for the tiny hearts, and a Mini Dimensional for the larger one.

Finally, “Love you” was written in the sky with Early Espresso Cardstock, cut with new, Love For You Dies. You can see all of the new, and current, supplies in my Product List below.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Beautifully Happy Clean and Simple

Today’s card was created with the Beautifully Happy Stamp Set, one of the FREE Sale-a-bration items, available now. You can see all of the items below.

This CAS (clean & simple) card required very few steps. First, I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. It is topped with a diamond pattern cut from Basic Black Cardstock with the largest Organic Beauty Die.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Beautifully Happy Stamp Set,. Beautifully Happy

Second, I stamped the single flower image, and sentiment, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used a Stitched Shapes Die for cutting, approximately 2/14″ square, and placed it on Dimensionals.

Third, I stamped just the flower in Polished Pink with a center of Mango Melody, and used Paper Snips for cutting. After cutting, I attached it on top of the black image with a Dimensional, and that’s all there was to it!

To begin today’s card, I cut three flowers from the FREE, Favored Flowers Designer Paper, using a Fragrant Flowers Die. Fragrant Flowers is a new Bundle that coordinates with the Favored Flowers Designer Paper! I love the way Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything!

Favored Flowers

The layer beneath the flowers is Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper (Annual Catalog), cut 1/8″ smaller than the Basic Black Cardstock beneath it, 2 1/2″ X 4 3/4″. After gluing the two together, I taped Gingham Ribbon to the back, cut a piece of ribbon in half to make a bow, and attached it with a Glue Dot.

The Fresh Freesia layer beneath is another pattern of Favored Flowers Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. It was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After attaching the flowers with Dimensionals, I stamped “friend,” from the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink.  Then, I used a Fragrant Flowers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

The last detail was adding three, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, another new product.

I was inspired by Freshly made Sketches.

January-April 2023 Catalog Goes Live with Thanks A Bunch!!!

January 5th has finally arrived, and you can now order from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. This also means that you can earn FREE Sale-a-bration items with every qualifying order. Most items can be yours for a $50.00 order, and todays’ card uses one of the FREE stamp sets, Thanks A Bunch. You’ll love stamping the cute carrots and fun sentiments.

To begin, I used the second largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut Basic White Cardstock. This was the right size to show off my colorful, bunch of carrots.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Thanks A Bunch Stamp Set, Favored Flowers DSP, Scalloped Contours Dies; #thanksabunch #favoredflowers #scallopedcontoursdies #carrots #carrotsoncards #january-April2023catalog #sale-a-bration #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #sumohr

Colorful Carrots

Did you know that carrots come in a variety of colors?

Using colors other than orange makes the Thanks A Bunch Stamp Set much more fun. I stamped the carrot in three colors of Ink (Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Poppy Parade) on Basic White Cardstock. After adding texture to the carrots with a second stamp (two-step stamping), I used Paper Snips for cutting; gluing one carrot flat, and raising two on Dimensionals.

The background is Favored Flowers Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, another FREE Sale-a-bration item for a $50.00 order. This pattern makes me think of a garden fence, or planted rows in a garden. I glued it to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to attaching the carrots, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink, and the carrot tops in Old Olive Ink.  “Thanks a bunch” and the green foliage are from the Thanks A Bunch Stamp Set.
