Beautiful Bokeh Flowers and Prayers

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Sweet Bugs Dies are great for bugs, but also for flowers. For today’s card, I used four of the dies to cut flowers from Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper. After cutting, I glued the stems to the flowers.

Beautiful Bokeh Flowers

The background is also Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Before gluing it to the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I created a slant by making two additional, angled cuts. Then, I glued the leaves, and attached the flowers with Dimensionals, following the angle. The sentiment is from the Prayers & Promises Stamp Set. I stamped “Give it to God” in Memento Black Ink, used a Lovely Arrangements Die for cutting, and glued it in place.

As a final detail, I used a Sweet Bugs Die to cut butterflies from Beautiful Bokeh DSP, and attached them with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Endless Love for Stampin’ Fancy Friday

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month it’s a theme challenge, “for my love.”

I was excited to use new products for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday card. I began by cutting a pattern of Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Paper with a large, Endless Love, heart die. Don’t you love the tiny holes around the edge?

By Su Mohr for Stampin' Fancy Friday! Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Endless Love Dies, Love Notes Mix & Match DSP, Big Little Things Stamp Set, Bee Builder Punch; #endlesslove #lovenotes #biglittlethings #beebuilderpunch #panda #valentine #stampinfancyfriday #handmadecards #handcrafted #stampinup

Panda Valentine

Next, I glued the heart to another pattern of Love Notes Mix & Match DSP, which I cut with the largest Textured Notes Die. This layer was glued to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Patti the panda, from the Big Little Things Stamp Set, thought this was a perfect background for her. She had already been featured on one of my cards, but she asked so nicely, I couldn’t say no. After I stamped her in Memento Black Ink, fussy cut her, and placed her on Dimensionals, she hopped on. That’s when she said she needed to say something, and there were perfect words in her stamp set to say, “love you.” So, I stamped the words in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the Bee Builder Punch to make a speech bubble.

After attaching the speech bubble, Patti had just one more request; she wanted to hold a red heart. It was easy enough to cut the heart with an Endless Love Die, and I handed it to her on a Dimensional, completing “our” card. Patti was thrilled, and knows her person will feel very loved.

Elephant from Big Little Things Stamp Set

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Today’s card includes a new favorite from Online Exclusives, Lovely Arrangements Dies. I used this fun die to cut Splendid Autumn Designer Paper in two colors: Highland Heather and Balmy Blue.

Lovely Arrangements Elephant

Next, I stamped the elephant, from the Big Little Things Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a 2 3/4″ X 2″ Perennial Postage Die for cutting. Then, I used the largest Perennial Postage Die to Cut Basic White Cardstock, and glued the Lovely Arrangements die-cuts in place. After gluing the layer to a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I attached the elephant with Dimensionals.

“Huge Thanks” is also from the Big Little Things Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, used the smallest Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final detail, I attached three Smoky Slate Pearls.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Manatee from Big Little Things Stamp Set

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Night Of Navy, Azure Afternoon, and Balmy Blue. I’ve been wanting to create a card with the Manatee from the Big Little Things Stamp Set, and shades of blue would be perfect! I began by stamping the Manatee in Night Of Navy Ink, fussy cutting, and placing him on Dimensionals.

By Su Mohr for GDP 529; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Big Little Things Stamp Set, So Swirly Embossing Folder, Textured Notes Dies; #biglittlethings #texturednotesdies #soswirlyembossing #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #manatee #seacow #thankyoucard #stampinup

Manatee

Next, I created his background with Blending Brushes, Basic White Cardstock, and three colors of ink: Night Of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Azure Afternoon. Then, I embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and used the third largest Textured Notes Die for cutting.

The next layer was Azure Afternoon Cardstock, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die. This layer was attached with Dimensionals to Night Of Navy Cardstock, cut with the largest Textured Notes Die, which was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “Huge Thanks,” is from the Big Little Things Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night Of Navy Ink on a 1″ square of Basic White Cardstock, colored with a Blending Brush and Azure Afternoon Ink. After gluing to the “sea cow,” I attached them with Dimensionals. For a touch of sparkle, I used pin dots of glue to adhere some tiny, retired sequins.

Now it’s your turn to get creative with these colors. Please use the tag #gdp529, when you post on social media.

Easter Time for Piccadilly Players

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Who are the Piccadilli Players? We are 2024 Artisan Design Team Members who wanted to keep our group together for quarterly Instagram hops. The theme for our fourth hop is a sketch, which posted on Instagram Friday, January 2nd. For my design I’m giving you a sneak peek of Easter products that will be available January 6th; just two days from now!

By Su Mohr for Piccadilli Players; Featuring: Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera, Easter Basket Stamp Set, Easter Basket Dies, Love Notes Mix & Match DSP, Words Of Beauty Dies; #eastertime #easterbasket #bunny #lovenotes #easter #wordsofbeauty #eggs #wreath #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking #stampinup #piccadilliplayers

Easter Time Bunny

I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I layered it with Bubble Bath Cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 4 3/4″ (angled) and Love Notes Mix & Match Designer Paper, 3″ X 5 1/4″.

Next, came the really fun part. The bunny, wreath, and egg are “punch-outs” from the Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. Aren’t they darling? I glued the wreath flat, and attached the bunny with Dimensionals. The sentiment, “hello spring,” is from the Easter Basket Stamp Set. I stamped it in Highland Heather ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals beneath the bunny. The bow was cut from Bubble Bath Cardstock, with an Easter Basket Die, and glued on the egg.

The final touch was adding three, tiny, gingham eggs, a new Easter Assortment Embellishment.

Here is our sketch:
