Cutest Crew for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE a fun design by Leah Dixon. We’d love to see what you create, so please share it on social media, and tag it #gdp536.

I began by stamping my favorite, little birds from the upcoming stamp set, Cutest Crew. I stamped them in Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Stylish Shapes, circle die, for cutting. Then, I used Cutest Crew Dies to cut the birds from upcoming, Garden Poetry Designer Paper, and glued them on top of the stamped birds. It’s a perfect fit; you can see their eyes peeking through the holes!

Next, I cut three strips, 1″ X 4″, from the same Garden Poetry Designer Paper. Then, I cut three strips, 1/8″ larger, from Wood Grain Wonders Paper, and glued them to the back of the Garden Poetry strips. The strips were glued to Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, which I embossed with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. And, this embossed layer was glued to a Pecan Pie card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After attaching the circle of birds with Dimensionals, I stamped “Happy Birthday,” from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pecan Pie Ink, used a smaller, Stylish Shapes circle die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. To complete the designed, I added three, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls.

Help Me Grow Sneak Peek

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

When I saw the cute, garden tools in the Help Me Grow Bundle, I HAD to have them.  And, to make them realistic, I used the Lunar Lustre Specialty Paper, along with Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper. All the products will be available March 3.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Help Me Grow Bundle, Garden Poetry DSP, Wood Grain Wonders DSP, Lunar Lustre DSP, Paradise Garden Embossing Folder, Gallery Blooms Dies; #helpmegrow #woodgrainwonders #paradisegarden #gardentools #gardenpoetry #galleryblooms #lunarlustre #stampinup #onlineexclusives #sneakpeek

Garden Tools

As a background for the garden tools, I used a Gallery Blooms Die to cut a frame from Garden Poetry Designer Paper. Then, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 5″ X 3 1/2″, embossed it with the Paradise Garden Embossing Folder, and glued it to the back of the leafy frame. This was glued to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2′ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

To complete the card, I added a sentiment from the Help Me Grow Stamp Set. I stamped “thank you” in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Help Me Grow Die for cutting. Then, I  backed it with Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper, glued the bottom, and attached the top with Dimensionals. Isn’t it a cute garden sign? In case you’re wondering about the tiny die that looks like a fish, it’s a tie for the tools. I had to look at the samples in Online Exclusives to figure it out, hee hee.

Paradise Garden Sneak Peek

FREE SHIPPING JUST ANNOUNCED!!!

The Paradise Garden Bundle is a favorite, so I’m excited to share today’s sneak peek. I began with a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder to give texture to Basic Beige Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″, and glued it to the card base.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Paradise Garden Bundle, Cutest Crew Dies, Wood Grain Wonders DSP, Garden Poetry DSP; #paradisegarden #cutestcrew #woodgrainwonders #tgif #stampinup #handmadecards #handcrafted #antiquepearls #pearlsofbeauty

Paradise Garden

Next, I cut Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper, 4″ X 2 3/4″, and glued it on top of the embossed layer. It was topped with Garden Poetry Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 2 1/2″. The trim along the bottom was cut with a Cutest Crew Die from Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper. Such a fun die!

The sentiment, “you are appreciated,” is from the Paradise Garden Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pecan Pie Ink On Basic Beige Cardstock, used a Paradise Garden Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. To complete the card, I embellished it with Pearls Of Beauty, and Antique Pearls.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Cutest Crew Baby Card for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: baby. It was especially fun to make this card today, because we just found out Lily is going to be a big sister! We’d love to see your baby cards. Please share with social media, and use the tag #gdp535.

I began by cutting the adorable, Cutest Crew birds in four colors of Subtle Cardstock: Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam, and Pool Party. Then, I glued them to Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut with the 1″ square, Stylish Shapes die.

By Su Mohr for GDP535; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Cutest Crew Bundle, Beautifully Celebrated Dies, Perennial Postage Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Rainbow Dots; #cutestcrew #beautifullycelebrated #stylishshapes #perennial postage #babycard #storybookfriends #squarecards #stampinup #globaldesignproject #gdp535

Cutest Crew Square for Baby

Thinking, small and square, I cut a square card base from Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 4″, and decorated the corners with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Beautifully Celebrated Die, and glued it to the card base. Don’t you love this die-cut?

Next, I stamped “Welcome little one,” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Storybook Friends, a retired Stamp Set. To complete the card, I attached the birds with Dimensionals, and added three Rainbow Dots in matching colors.

Sneak Peek Paradise Garden

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Look at this fun sketch, from Freshly Made Sketches, that inspired today’s card.

To create the center oval, I used the largest Everyday Arches Die to cut an arch from cardstock. Then, I placed the cut-out on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″, and used Blending Brushes to apply two colors of ink: Pool Party on top, and Granny Apple Green on the bottom. This layer was glued to a Soft Sea Foam card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Paradise Garden Thank You

Next. I stamped “thank you,” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. This large sentiment is from the Paradise Garden Bundle, and cut with its large banner die. Don’t you love it?

After attaching the banner with Dimensionals, I stamped the leaves and flowers, and cut them with dies, both from the Paradise Garden Bundle. Four colors of ink were used; Pretty In Pink, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green.

The leaves were glued flat, except for a few leaves placed on top of the banner, and the flowers were attached with Dimensionals. As a final touch I added thee, Rainbow Dots.

Lovely Arrangements for Stampin’ Fancy Friday

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month it’s a color challenge, “Shades of Purple.”

I was excited to begin the challenge with a new bundle, Lovely Arrangements. First, I stamped two flowers in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used their dies for cutting. Then, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends in Highland Heather and Petunia Pop. The leaves were cut from Garden Green Cardstock.

By Su Mohr for Stampin' Fancy Friday; Featuring: Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set, Lovely Arrangements Dies, Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder; #lovelystripes #lovelyarrangements #stampinblends #stampinfancyfriday #purple #cardchallenge #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking #stampinup

Lovely in Purple

Next, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 2 3/4″ X 3 1/4″, and used a Lovely Arrangements Die to make “peek-a-boo” holes in it. Then, I layered it on Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border.

The background is Fresh Freesia Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″, given texture with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After attaching the flowers and leaves to the top layer, I created the sentiment from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. I stamped “you are so lovely” in Gorgeous Grape Ink,  used its die for cutting, and glued it to the top flower. To complete my design, I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
