The Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and Die are back in stock, so I’m excited to show you a fun birthday card. I began by adhering the Washi Tape to Basic White Cardstock, and used the Extraordinary Die for cutting. Then, I found three matching daisies, and placed them on Dimensionals.

Extraordinary Blooms
For the background, I used the third largest, Textured Notes Die to cut Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped “Happy Birthday,” from the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set, in Early Espresso Ink. I was able to bend the photopolymer stamps for additional curve. After stamping the sentiment, I placed the layer on Dimensionals.

The first layer is Painterly Pears Designer Paper, cut with the largest Textured Notes Die. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. As a final touch, I added three Antique Pearls.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Let’s start the month of November with “JOY!” I used the Alphabet a la Mode Dies to cut the word from Season Of Elegance Designer Paper. The designer paper was attached to a Foam Adhesive Sheet, before rolling the dies through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, to give the word dimension.

JOY
The background is Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper, cut with the largest Branching Out Die. This was glued to a Thick basic White card base, 58 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest and second largest Branching Out Dies to cut a frame from Cherry Cobbler cardstock that I glued around the edge.

Do you see the pretty snowflake in the corner? I used Detailed Pines Dies to cut an Old Olive pattern of Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper. After gluing the branches together at the center, I topped it with a Sparkling Sequin, and glued it in place.

I began today’s card by cutting the dark, patterned, Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper with the fourth largest Textured Notes Die. Then, I used the second largest Textured Notes Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and stamped pine branches in Old Olive Ink around the edge. This stamp is from the Delicate Pines Stamp Set.

NOEL
Next, I used the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder to emboss the front of the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, both layers were attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

The word “NOEL” was created with Alphabet a La Mode Dies and Season Of Elegance Designer Paper. The designer paper was attached to a Foam Adhesive Sheet, before rolling the dies through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, to give the word dimension. As a final touch, I added three, Sparkling Sequins.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along.
I’ve been making my favorite gift card holder for so many years, it has become a tradition. It’s fun to change the look by using new products. This year I’m using products from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Suite. You can see the entire suite in my Product List below.

Elegant Pines Gift Card Holders
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut 8 1/2″ X 11″ cardstock into one piece that is 7 3/4″ X 10″. With the 7 3/4 side at the top, score at 6″ and 2 1/2″. Then, on the 10″ side, cut in half at 5″, making two gift card holders.
It helps to have the right tools, and Stampin’ Up’s Paper Trimmer is my favorite for measuring, cutting, and scoring. I took this photo last year.

To decorate the gift card holders, cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper: The bottom front is 4 3/4″ X 2 1/4″. The top front is 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.
Cut one piece of Basic White Cardstock for the sentiment on the inside, 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.
Use a circle punch, or die, to make a finger slot in the middle of the bottom front.
Attach a piece of Tear & Tape to each side of the bottom (inside), and close, sealing your pocket.

Cut the bands 7 3/4″ X 1″. Score at 6 1/8″ and 2 1/2″. You want that extra 1/8 inch on the scoring, so the band will slide off and on easily. Glue the band with the attached edge in front, which keeps the back looking smooth and pretty.
Decorate the bands with snowflakes cut with a Detailed Pines Die from Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper. After adding cardstock for thickness, glue the snowflake to the band, covering the attached edge.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the designer-Su Mohr. How fun! I get to CASE myself! We’d love to see what you create, so please tag it with #gdp520 when you share it on social media.

I decided to turn my design into a Christmas card. The first thing I did was use the Just A Note Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler Ink. “May the spirit of the season bring you hope, happiness & love” is from the Jolly Holly Stamp Set.

Just A Note for Christmas
Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die to cut Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper, and glued it to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Isn’t this snowflake paper beautiful?

To decorate my note, I created pinecones, with pine branches and berries, using Detailed Pines Dies. I used three colors of cardstock for the pinecones: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Pecan Pie. The branches were cut from Shaded Spruce, and the berries were cut from Cherry Cobbler. Then, I added Peppermints for extra “happiness,” and my CASE was complete.

Have you made a square card? You simply cut cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, and fold it at 4 /14″. This size will fit in our Medium Envelopes. I used Very Vanilla Cardstock for today’s card, and layered it with the gorgeous, Brushed With Beauty Designer Paper, 4″ X 4″. Then, I stamped “I think you’re amazing,” from the Words Of Beauty Stamp Set, in Mossy Meadow Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used its die for cutting. The designer paper, sentiment, and label die are all from the Brushed With Beauty Suite, an Online Exclusive, available November 4th.

Square Beauty
Next, I used A Stylish Shapes Die to cut the “flagged” shape from a striped pattern of Brushed With Beauty Designer Paper. After layering it with cardstock for thickness, I trimmed the left side, and glued it to the card front. Then, I layered the sentiment label for thickness, and glued it on top.

I completed my design by attaching three, Pearls Of Beauty. You guessed it; they are part of the suite.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
