Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! Ready to sprinkle some holiday magic into your crafting this season? This month’s theme, Season’s Greetings, is all about celebrating the joy of handmade creations. The Stampin’ Pretty Pals have come together to share festive cards and paper craft ideas using our favorite Stampin’ Up! products — each project designed to inspire your creativity and help you capture the spirit of the season.

I used just one stamp set, and one die set, for today’s Fun Fold card: A Child Is Born, and Everyday Arches. The basic design of my Fun Fold card is a Z Fold, with arches added to the card base.

“For unto us a child is born”

This Z Fold card base was cut from Basic White Cardstock,12″ X 2 3/4″, scored at 4″ and 8 “. Then, I used the largest Everyday Arches Die to cut three arches from Basic White Cardstock, and glued them to the Z fold card base. Here’s a view of the back.

Next, I used the second largest, Everyday Arches Die, to cut three arches from designer paper. For the first panel, I stamped the nativity scene in Secret Sea Ink on Country Woods Designer Paper. Before gluing it to the card base, I stamped “For unto us a child is born.” This picture shows the folded card, ready to fit in our Medium Envelope.

The second panel was cut from Peaceful Garden Designer Paper, layered with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the sixth largest Everyday Arches Die. Before gluing, I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink with “When they saw the star they rejoiced,” and the stars. The third panel is also Peaceful Garden Designer Paper, layered with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the eighth largest Everyday Arches Die, and stamped “O come let us adore Him.”

I hope today’s project sparked some holiday cheer and crafting inspiration! There’s so much more to see — keep the fun going by following the lineup below to visit the rest of the Pals. And be sure to join us next month when we create our own Winter Wonderland!

Brushed With Beauty for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. Have fun with the sketch, then show us your design on social media. Don’t forget to tag it #gdp522.

I began with a gorgeous pattern of Brushed With Beauty Designer Paper, cutting it with the largest Textured Notes Die. This layer was glued to a Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

By Su Mohr for GDP 522; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Brushed With Beauty DSP, Petals Of Beauty, Words Of Beauty, Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder, Textured Notes Dies; #brushedwithbeauty #petalsofbeauty #wordsofbeauty #texturednotesdies #heatembossing #gdp522 #globaldesignproject #cardsketch #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #stampinup

Brushed With Beauty

Next, I used the 4th largest Textured Notes Die to cut Very Vanilla Cardstock, and gave it texture with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder. Then, I glued it to the center of the card front. The three flowers were cut with a Petals Of Beauty Die from Brushed With Beauty DSP, attached with Mini Dimensionals, and topped with Pearls Of Beauty.

“You’re a great friend” is from the Words Of Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Brushed With Beauty DSP, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and used its Words Of Beauty Die for cutting. It was layered with cardstock for thickness, prior to attaching with Dimensionals, and my sketch design was complete.

Branching Out Just Because

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Today’s card is a fun color challenge, using Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive. The first thing I did was use the Extraordinary Flora Stamp with Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping the numerous flowers and leaves with one stamp, I used the Extraordinary Flora Die to cut them all out at one time. If this doesn’t make sense, check out the bundle in my Product List below. Then, I colored the pieces with Stampin’ Blends in Calypso Coral and Old Olive.

Just Because

Next, I cut the layer for the flowers from Basic White Cardstock, using the fourth largest Branching Out Die. This layer was attached, with Dimensionals, to Woven Textures Designer Paper, cut with the largest Branching Out Die. The card base is Crumb Cake, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The word, “just” was cut from Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper with a Words Of Beauty Die, layered for thickness, and glued in place. The word “because,” from the Words Of Beauty Stamp Set, was stamped in Old Olive Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used its Words Of Beauty Die for cutting. Then, I attached the flowers with Dimensionals, and glued “because” on top.

As a last detail, I attached three Pearls Of Beauty.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Elegant Pine Snowflake

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Elegant Pine Snowflakes Suite is captivating me, and one card is leading to the next! The centerpiece of today’s card is a snowflake, made of pine branches in regal colors, cut with a Delicate Pines Die from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Paper. After cutting the snowflake, I used a Delicate Pines Die to cut branches from an Old Olive pattern of the designer paper. Then, I glued the branches to the back of the snowflake, and placed it on Dimensionals.

“Warmest winter wishes” is from the Delicate Pines Stamp Set, stamped in Secret Sea Ink. The berries were cut with a Delicate Pines Die from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and glued in place. As a  final touch, I added three, Low Profile Sparkle Dots.

I’m featuring new products from a favorite Online Exclusive, Brushed With Beauty Suite, which will be available tomorrow, November 4th. I began by cutting three flowers, using a Petals Of Beauty Die, from Brushed with Beauty Designer Paper. Then, I cut three pieces of greenery, using another Petals Of Beauty Die, from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

Petals Of Beauty

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the third largest Branching Out Die. This was layered on a pattern of Painterly Pears Designer Paper, cut with the largest Branching Out Die. Both layers were glued to a Petal Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After gluing the greenery in place, I attached the flowers with Dimensionals, and added Black Rhinestone Jewels (retired) to their centers. The sentiment, “You’ve been on my mind,” is from the Words Of Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Words of Beauty Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek of this gorgeous suite!
