This Expressions In Ink Designer Paper is gorgeous on its own. But, I wanted to add some dimension and detail to it, because that’s what we do, right?
First, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to give the pretty paper a fancy border. Then, I glued this to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Special Flower
Second, I stamped “you’re absolutely amazing” in Old Olive Ink, on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and used the smallest Scalloped Contours Die for cutting. The sentiment is from the Color and Contour Stamp Set. You can buy the stamp set and dies together, in a bundle, for a 10% savings.
I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals, and could have stopped here for a “quick & easy” card. But, I envisioned a flower with dimension, to make it extra special.
Third, I used Expressions In Ink Designer Paper to cut the Pale Papaya portion of the flower, and the Pear Pizzazz leaves, with Artistic Dies. Can you see how I snipped a couple leaves from the large die-cut?
Another large, Artistic Die was used to cut from Thick, Basic White Cardstock, and I snipped the flower to glue on top of the solid Pale Papaya portion.
Prior to gluing the two together, I used a third Artistic Die to cut a small piece of Gold Foil to place beneath the holes at the flower’s center. Finally, I glued the leaves to the back of the flower, and attached it with Dimensionals to my card front.

Expressions In Ink is gorgeous, new, designer paper in the 2021-2022 Annual catalog. It’s also the name of the entire suite that includes the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, and Artistic Dies. You can order them separately, or together, as you’ll see in my Product List below.
Expressions In Ink Hello
This quick & easy card has a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The top layer, is a piece of Expressions In Ink Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5″, and has a 1/16″ border of Evening Evergreen. This dark, green has the same effect as black, making other colors “pop”.
The large, floral image was cut with an Artistic Die from another pattern of Expressions in Ink Designer Paper.
Would you like to know how I glued the die-cut with all of its intricate detail? I squeezed a small spot of Tombow Liquid Glue onto a Silicone Mat, and rubbed a 1/4 cut section of a Stamping Sponge in the glue. Then, I blotted the sponge on the back of the die-cut, which was on the Silicone Mat, and adhered it to the card front.
I stamped a few little dots, and “hello,” in Evening Evergreen Ink. After adding three Sequins For Everything, to match the Pale Papaya in the designer paper, my quick & easy card was complete.

Today’s card is highlighting some new favorites, as well as continuing favorites, in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I LOVE the Meadow Dies, which were used to fill the pot.
Potted Wildflowers
I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This is layered with a wonderful, new, gingham in Pale Papaya from Pansy Petals Designer Paper, 4′ X 5 1/4″.
Next, I used three of the new Meadow Dies to cut from another new, favorite, Expressions In Ink Designer Paper. It gives wonderful variation in color to the wildflowers, don’t you think?

The wood texture behind the wildflowers is In Good Taste Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die, continuing favorites.
Now, all my wildflowers needed was a pot, which I found in Simply Succulents. I stamped the pot in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used its Potted Succulents Die for cutting. Then, I gave it some color with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend, and rounded it with my fingers while it was damp. It’s attached with Dimensionals, just in the middle, so it will stay rounded.
“Friend” is from the new Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used a Meadow Die for cutting the cute, little, tag, tied Linen Thread through the hole, and attached it with a Dimensional.

If you have yet to see the Expressions In Ink Suite in person, you will be amazed! There are so many possibilities, and the designer paper is out of this world! Today’s card features an Artistic Die, the curved leaves. Do you see the gold flecks?
Curvy Hello
I paired the curved leaves with Basic White Cardstock that I cut with a Curvy Die, and embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. It was 4″ X 5 1/4″, and sliced as you see.
The card base is one of our new 2021-2023 In Colors, Soft Succulent, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The flowers were cut with a die from In The Tropics from another pattern of Expressions In Ink Designer Paper. I like the way this gives variation to the flowers, rather than plain cardstock, don’t you?
The centers are tiny, self sticking, gold, Metallic Pearls. They come in silver also, which you can see in my Product List below.
“Hello” is from the Forever Fern Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen, and cut with a Floral Gallery Die. I touched the edge of the sentiment label to the ink pad to give the perforated edge definition.
Even though my curve is backwards, I really did use Freshly Made Sketches as my inspiration.

Guess what this cute, pup’s name is! It’s Petals, an appropriate name for a dog who loves romping beside the Pansy Patch. Notice I said “beside,” because she doesn’t want to smash the pretty flowers.
The first thing I did was stamp Petals in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and color her with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut her free, and placed her on Dimensionals. Doesn’t she look pleased?
Petals
Petals requested a comfortable resting place, so I used two Layering Circles Dies to cut two circles. The plain circle is from Basic White Cardstock, and the scalloped circle is from Evening Evergreen Cardstock. I glued the circles together, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for texture.
Beneath the circle is a strip of Pansy Petals Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die. This is glued on top of a gingham layer (4″ X 5 1/4″) in Soft Succulent, also Pansy Petals Designer Paper.
The card base is Evening Evergreen, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. We found the perfect, little, “thank you” in the Love Of Leaves Stamp Set, which I stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink.
After attaching the circle and Petals the pup with Dimensionals, I thought our card was complete, but I was mistaken. She said she wanted her personal card to be included, so I stamped the envelope in Evening Evergreen, and place it next to her. I didn’t see the inside, but she has green ink on her paws, so I can guess what it says.
I was inspired by Fusion.

I had polka dots on my mind, and used a pattern of True Love Designer Paper with the largest Brilliant Wings Die to cut a butterfly.
Polka Dotted Butterfly
This card is so easy peasy, very little explanation is required. After cutting the butterfly, I cut the background layer from Expressions In Ink Designer Paper. This paper is amazing, all twelve sheets (12″ X 12″), front and back. I cut a 4″ X 5 1/4″ section from this pattern. You can see the entire selection by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
Next, I stamped “thanks,” from the Queen Anne’s Lace Stamp Set, in Fresh Freesia Ink. I chose Fresh Freesia for a card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, glued the layer to the card base, the butterfly on top, and my clean & simple card was complete.
I was inspired by the Paper Players.
