First of all, hoping everyone spends this Memorial Day with a grateful heart. I tend to make a lot of thank you cards, but it seems especially appropriate today.
Memorial Day Thanks
Global Design Project’s sketch provided the inspiration, and my card was quickly completed. Does the sketch inspire you? We’d love to see your creation in our Gallery.
I began with beautiful, Expressions In Ink Designer Paper, in shades of green and a touch of gold, 5 1/4″ X 4″.
Next, I cut two sections from the middle, as you see in the sketch, with an Ornate Layers Die.
I stamped “Thank You” in Shaded Spruce Ink on the bottom section, and backed it with Basic White Cardstock for thickness. Then, I backed the bottom section with Expressions In Ink, gold & white stripe, leaving a small amount of the stripe showing, and attached both sections with Dimensionals in the “cut out” holes.
Prior to gluing the Expressions In Ink layer to the card base, I stamped “ever so much” in Shaded Spruce Ink. The sentiments are from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. Isn’t the font great?
I added three, Sequins For Everything, gold sequins, as a final touch. Click on the picture in my Product List, if you’d like to see what 3,600 sequins looks like.

The Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set has a pretty blossom that was the starting point for today’s thank you card.
Peach Blossoms
I stamped the blossom in Blushing Bride Ink (three blossoms on one stamp), and after “stamping off” twice, stamped randomly on Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/2″ X 4″. “Stampin off” means that I stamped in the ink, then stamped on scratch paper before stamping on my project. I “stamped off” twice, to make the image softer. The blossom center was made by a tiny stamp in the set, with Polished Pink Ink, also “stamped off” twice.
After stamping the blossoms, I cut the layer down to size with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die.
Next, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut a layer from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, which you can see in the first photo. Then, I glued the layers together on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The center, Soft Sea Foam Designer Paper, is retired, but four new patterns are available in the Subtles 6″X6″ Designer Paper. I used the 3″ X 1 3/4″ Scalloped Contours Die for cutting. It’s unusual, because it has openings on all four sides, which I didn’t use for this project.
“Thanks so much” is from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set, stamped in Stazon Ink, and cut with the smallest Scalloped Contours Die. I added three tiny blossoms, cut with a Peach Die from Blushing Bride Cardstock, and glued over the holes.
After attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I embellished my thank you card with black & white twine, a Playful Pets Trim.

The Pansy Petals Designer Paper includes all of the new 2021-2023 In Colors, and they are gorgeous! I used the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut this pretty pattern of all five colors: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Pale Papaya. Then, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut the frame from Basic White Cardstock.
Isn’t it great how these die-cuts fit together perfectly? They are glued on an Evening Evergreen card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Pansy Petals “Hi”
Next, I used the smallest, Scalloped Contours Die, to cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock. I attached this with Dimensionals at the center of my card front.
The pansy and leaves were cut with Pansy Dies from another pattern of Pansy Petals Designer Paper. This is one of the benefits of Stampin’ Up’s coordinating products.
The sentiment, “Hi,” was created with the Playful Alphabet Dies, Pansy Petals Designer Paper, and Foam Adhesive Sheets.
First, I cut a 1″ piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet, and a 1″ piece of designer paper. Then, I peeled one side of the Foam Adhesive Sheet and adhered the designer paper to it. Next, I placed the letter dies on top of the designer paper, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, right side up one time, and upside down a second time. Then, I carefully removed the letters from the dies, peeled the backing, and stuck the letters to the Scalloped Contours die-cut.
Finally, I added a very, special, Bumblebee Trinket, held securely with a Glue Dot. Their popularity exceeded the supply, and they have been on backorder. The good news is, they are scheduled to be available the week of May 31.

I love the Snailed It Bundle, because it’s so apropos to our card making. We know that “snail mail” is the best! Unfortunately, this set is from the 2021 Mini Catalog that is retiring the end of June. Continue reading for ordering suggestions.
My idea for today’s card fit nicely on a slimline design. Snails leave long trails, right?
The Crumb Cake card base is 8″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. It is layered with black & white, True Love Designer Paper, 7 3/4″ X 3 1/4″, which is also retiring. The top, Basic White layer, is 1/8″ smaller, so it is bordered by 1/16″ of the black & white paper.
Snail Trail Mail
After the stage was set, I stamped the snail in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used three colors of Stampin’ Blends for coloring: Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, and Fresh Freesia. Then, I used its Snail Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.
The sentiment is also from the Snailed It Stamp Set, cut with its bubble die, and placed on Dimensionals.
“You’ve got mail” is attached to the snail on the stamp, so masking the snail with tape allowed me to use the bubble die.
Don’t overlook the adorable, miniature envelopes, cut with one of the Snail Dies. It cuts the paper in one piece that has four score lines for folding. I used Pansy Petals, gingham and floral, and Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper. You can even leave the top flap open, and insert a tiny note.
After arranging the snail’s trail with black & white twine (Playful Pets Trim), I held it in place with Dimensionals when attaching the envelopes.
Here’s what I know about Snail Mail ordering. It’s on pages 54-55 in the January-June 2021 Catalog. The Snail Dies, the resin hearts, and the Snail Mail Twine (Blushing Bride and Whisper White) will be 50% off on June 1. Everything else will be at the regular price, which includes the suite, the bundle, the stamp set, and the designer paper. If you want it, order early, because the discounted items go quickly.

The Art Gallery Stamp Set is fun to use with its coordinating Floral Gallery Dies and Painted Texture Embossing Folder. We first saw this set in the last mini catalog, and I’m happy to say it’s carrying over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
Painted Texture Floral
I began this project with the flowers, using the “ink to stamp” technique on the Stamparatus.
First, I placed Basic White Cardstock on the platform of the Stamparatus with the floral stamp on top.
Second, I lowered the lid, picking up the stamp.
Third, I colored the stamp, one section at a time, with four different colors of Stampin’ Write Markers: Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and Mossy Meadow, and lowered the lid to stamp on the paper. Magnets hold the paper in place for repeated stamping.
The Stampin’ Write Markers are sold in color groups, not individually. You can see the Brights and Neutrals in my Product List below.
Fourth, I used its Floral Gallery Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.
The background was created with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The yellow paper at the bottom is Sand & Sea Designer Paper, 4″ X 2″. After gluing the bottom portion, I embossed it with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
Prior to gluing the layer to the So Saffron card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), and attaching the flowers, I taped Bumblebee Gingham Trim to the back.
“Thank you” is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, cut with a Floral Gallery Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
