I’ve been having more fun with the Quite Curvy Bundle, and you can order it TODAY! You’ll find all of the numbers, pictures, and prices below. Clicking on the pictures, or my shop button, will take you to my store.
My husband especially likes the cards I make in Old Olive and Crumb Cake, so you can guess how he felt about today’s Thanksgiving card.
Curvy Thanksgiving Card
I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I used a Curvy Die, cutting two pieces from 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ Old Olive Cardstock. It takes some experimenting with the dies, because one side will have the detailed edge, and one will be plain. In this case, I turned the die around, in order to have the little dots on both sides. I also trimmed the top and bottom (straight sides) to have the Crumb Cake space I wanted in the middle.
Before gluing the Old Olive pieces to the card base, I added texture with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
Don’t you love the leaves? You’ll be thrilled when you discover how easily they can be colored. I stamped the leaves in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and used Sponge Daubers with four colors of ink: Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, and Pumpkin Pie. Then, I used its Curvy Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
“Happy” and “Thanksgiving” are two of the words in the Word Wishes Die Set. Isn’t the font pretty? “Thanksgiving” was cut from Brushed Metallic Cardstock, and glued in place. I wanted to add “happy,” but keep it subdued, so it was cut it from Old Olive Cardstock, and doubled for thickness.
I was inspired by the Paper Players theme.

I’m excited to tell you that the Quite Curvy Bundle, used on today’s card, is available tomorrow, Nov. 3. You’ll find the product description below, and they will be connected to my store Nov. 3, by clicking my “shop” button. You’re going to love adding these curves to your card making!
Curvy for you
I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Smoky Slate Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5″.
Using a Curvy Die, I cut Whisper White Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5″, on an angle, and glued the top half to the Smoky Slate layer. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I embossed the entire piece with the Scripty Embossing Folder.
Now, for the beautiful leaves! I stamped them in Coastal Cabana Ink, and used a Sponge Dauber for coloring. You could color the leaves individually, but this is a quick & easy coloring option. After I cut the leaves with their Curvy Die, I snipped a few leaves from the end, to fit the space, and attached it with Dimensionals.
For a pop of color, I stamped one of the birds in Daffodil Delight Ink, and colored her with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. My tip for the birds is to die cut first, then stamp. I usually stamp images before cutting, but I was having difficulty centering the birds.
The bird is perched on a sentiment from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set, “made with love, just for you.” I stamped it in Smoky Slate Ink, and used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting.
For a little something extra, I added some Pearl Basic Jewels.
The color combination of Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate is this week’s challenge at Global Design Project. I’d love to see how you use the colors, and what you choose as your third color, so please hang your card in our gallery.

First of all, it’s November 1st, and time to announce the winner of my October Drawing. Congratulations to Michele K. from Ohio! You have won the stack of 100 pieces of 6X6″ Designer Paper. I will be sending it to you as soon as I receive the Red Braided Linen Trim from Stampin’ Up! to include in your package.
All of my customers who ordered a minimum of $50 will also be receiving the Red Braided Linen Trim, plus a handmade card from yours truly. You can see my Host Code Gift for November, and my new drawing prize, below today’s card instructions. YAY!
For today’s quick & easy card, the Pine Woods tree die created the focal point. Each one is a little different, all in pastel colors. The possibilities are endless, and I plan to make some in traditional red and green also.
Pastel Christmas Trees
The rectangle die, from the Nature’s Thoughts Die Set, easily adds nice detail to the border of Thick Whisper White Cardstock. And, it’s just the right size for the tree and sentiment.
Peeking through the tree, in the Sahara Sand version, is In Good Taste Designer Paper, cut to 2 1/2″ X 4″. The pink designer paper is glued to the back of the white cardstock, with one tiny strip of glue around the edge.
The Seaside Spray version has Feels Like Frost Designer Paper behind the tree, and a layer of Seaside Spray Cardstock, embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. It is layered on a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The Winter Snow Embossing Folder is my November Host Code Gift. See the details below.
“Lots of love at Christmas” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, which I stamped in the coordinating ink colors: Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand, and Purple Posy. Don’t you love the way it curves?
The Purple Posy version has a background layer of Feels Like Frost Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This time the tree is backed with Purple Posy Cardstock.
The measurements I gave are the same for all three cards, and my supplies are listed in my Product List below. The first five items were used for all three cards.

It’s “snow wonder” I’m sharing a Christmas card today; Christmas is around the corner! It may be Halloween, but those cards have been sent, and I need to keep making Christmas cards.
It’s Snow Wonder
When you want to say “Merry Christmas” in a big way, the Word Wishes Die Set has the answer. The set is great, because it has words for lots of holidays, but today I cut “Merry” and “Christmas” from Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Aren’t the words beautiful? You can see the entire set in my Product List below.
I first cut equal sizes of Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Foam Adhesive Sheets, attached them, put the word dies on top, and rolled them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. They were rolled through a second time, upside down, to get a good cut.
The hardest part was poking out the little pieces, but worth it for the dimension.
The background is Whisper White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I glued this to a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
This versatile flower from the Wreath Builder Die Set is looking like a poinsettia today, isn’t it? I cut them from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and the centers were cut from Rainbow Glimmer Paper, using a tiny die from the same set. After gluing the centers with pin dots of Tombow glue, I placed the flowers on Mini Dimensionals.
I was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.

Angles can add interest to a design, and the Stitched Triangles Dies make it easy. Follow along to see how I used them to cut the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper. By the way, this paper is on sale now, but the sale ends Oct 31. Clicking on its picture below will take you to my store for ordering.
Stitched Triangles Design
First, I selected the two Stitched Triangles that would make the angle I wanted, and used them to cut two different patterns of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper.
Once I saw how the triangles would fit together, I cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5″, to accommodate the angle, and embossed it with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. After gluing the embossed layer to the Thick Whisper White card base, I glued the triangles in place. The triangle on the right was glued first, and is partially covered by the triangle on the left.
The tree was cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock with a Pine Woods Die, and glued at the center of the angle.
“Very Merry” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. I unbraided a 2″ piece of Real Red Braided Linen Trim (this month’s Host Code gift), to make a few strands fit through the tiny hole on the tag.
I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

It’s Paper Pumpkin time, it’s Paper Pumpkin time……. for those of you who remember the Howdy Doody theme song, that’s the tune I’m singing.
When I first received my October Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made two cards as they were designed. It’s so much fun opening the box, and seeing all of the tissue wrapped supplies, and directions. This month’s kit, Joy To The World, even included eight beautifully decorated envelopes to go with the eight cards.
But, the fun doesn’t stop with the eight designed cards, because you can continue to use the stamp set and ink for additional cards. You can even go outside the box (literally), and use some of the supplies to make your own creations, which is what I did for today’s card. This is known as a Paper Pumpkin Alternative.
Paper Pumpkin Alternative
The brass foil words in the kit are so pretty, and I wanted to use the word, “amour” with a heart. So, I cut a heart from Whisper White Cardstock with a Be Mine Stitched Die, and stamped it in Memento Black Ink with the flower stamp from the kit. After stamping three times, I colored it with Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Mint Macaron.
The heart is glued to paper that I “stole” from one of the card bases, cut with an Ornate Layers Die, and elevated on Dimensionals that come in the kit. Don’t you love the brass foil lines running through it?
The layer beneath it is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die, and embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. This is glued to the backside of a card base from the kit, so the pretty brass foil lines are on the back.
The last step was gluing “amour” across the heart, and adding a bow of Cherry Cobbler Linen Thread, both in the kit. The supplies, not included in the kit, are in my Product List below, along with Paper Pumpkin Links for ordering. What’s cool is that you have the option of ordering for one month, three months, six months or a year subscription. It would make a great Christmas gift!
Now, would you like to know about next month’s kit? Part of the fun is keeping it a surprise, so we can’t see the entire kit at this point, but there are hints, like this video.
I can also share this information with you. Please note, you have to order by November 10, and don’t delay, because sometimes they sell out. I can’t wait to get these gift card holders! And, do you see that cute, gingerbread house stamp?
