Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Pile It On” – showcasing their card/project with layers of DSP and/or embellishments for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My favorite layering tools, lately, are the Ornate Layers Dies. Reading that a second time, sounds funny, but true.
To begin today’s card, I used the largest die in the set to cut my first layer from Regals 6X6 Designer Paper in the color, Garden Green. I love these papers, because you get four patterns of all the colors in the color collection, which you can see in my Product List below.

Layered Flowering Bloom
I glued my first layer to a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Do you see the rounded corners? I can’t believe I haven’t used this Detailed Trio Punch with this Ornate Layers Die before now!
Next, I cut a layer from Whisper White Cardstock, using another Ornate Layers Die, and attached it with Dimensionals. It was fun to make use of those left-over edges from Dimensionals.

My focal point is a beautiful flower from the Flowering Blooms Stamp Set. A dear friend gave me this stamp set, and I’ve been waiting to use it for this special blog hop.
The flower was colored using the “stamp to ink” technique, easily done with a Stamparatus. I placed the stamp on the lid of the Stamparatus, colored directly on the red rubber, and pressed the stamp to Whisper White Cardstock that was secured in place by magnets. The leaves were colored with Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Markers, and the petals were colored with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. You have to color a small amount at a time with Stampin’ Blends, because it dries quickly.
After coloring, I used its Flowering Die for cutting, and attached the flower to the white layer with Dimensionals.

To complete the card, I stamped “many thanks,” from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink, and used the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die for cutting. For a final embellishment, I added three tiny pearls.
The Scripty Embossing Folder was used for the envelope flap (shown in the first photo), the final touch for my thank you card.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on December 9th when our theme is “Goodbye September Mini Catalog and Hello January Mini Catalog.” Participants showcase their favorites from the retiring holiday catalog or new products from the new mini catalog. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.

I think everyone can agree that this leaf from the Stitched Leaves Die Set looks like a heart. I just took it one step further, and cut off the stem. If you look at the Love Of Leaves Bundle in my Product List, you will see the stem.

Heart-shaped Leaves
The heart shaped leaf was stamped in four colors of ink: Real Red, Rococo Rose, Melon Mambo, and Poppy Parade. Then, I used its Stitched Leaves Die for cutting, and snipped the stem, revealing its true heart shape. See the die I used to add the stitching?

The center panel is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with an Ornate Layers Die, and embossed with an unusual die in the Stitched Leaves Die Set. It was exciting to see how perfectly it fit within my panel. I glued the panel in the middle of a Blushing Bride card base that I had embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

Next, I attached the four hearts to the panel with Dimensionals, leaving a space for the sentiment.
“Love” is from the Love You More Than Die Set, cut from Basic Black Cardstock for contrast. For a bit more black, I added three black rhinestones.

I was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.

It’s Monday, and time for a Global Design Project sketch. I used Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper for all the fun layering, plus Mr. Moose wanted to get in on the action. He was easy to create with the Moose Punch, Mossy Meadow Cardstock, and the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for his fur (he insisted).

Christmas Moose
Mr. Moose wanted a Mossy Meadow card base, so it would match his fur (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″). This was topped with a layer of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″). Then, two more patterns of the paper were cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies. I think you can see how I glued them in place.

The gingham piece is 2 1/2″ X 1 1/2″, with an angled end cut by hand. This was attached with Dimensionals, along with the sentiment. Mr. Moose wanted a place to stand, so requested a Stitched Rectangles Die with “Christmas Cheer” stamped inside it. This sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink. He made a good choice, don’t you agree?

Here’s the sketch, where clicking takes you to our GDP page for more inspiration. Won’t you play along by adding your card to our gallery?

For today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop I’m sharing three cards, using the same colors, with the fabulous, Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I also wanted to show how this paper can be enjoyed by three types of stampers: beginner, casual and avid.
The supplies for all three cards are the first six items in my Product List below, followed by the unique items for each card.

Forever Gold Paper
The “beginner’s” card lets the Forever Gold branch do all the work. It’s simply glued to a Whisper White Cardstock layer, that was cut with the largest, Ornate Layers Die. Prior to gluing the branch, with pin dots of liquid glue, I embossed the layer with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. The hardest part is making sure you don’t use too much glue.
The layer was glued to a Just Jade card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas, stamped in Just Jade Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. I believe in die-cut sentiments for beginners, because it’s a fool-proof way to get a straight, well stamped, well centered sentiment. And, it allows for “do-overs.”
However, if a beginner doesn’t have the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, dies, or embossing folders, they can stamp the sentiment right on the white cardstock, and still have a pretty card.

The second card is for a casual stamper, taking more time and products. This time, I began with a Whisper White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″) topped with a layer of Just Jade Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) that I embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder. I used a different Ornate Layers Die to cut a panel from Whisper White Cardstock. Before gluing the panel to the center of the card front, I embossed it with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
Next, I used a Layering Circles Die to cut a circle from Whisper White Cardstock, to fit beneath a Forever Gold wreath. Before gluing the circle to the wreath, I embossed it with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder, and applied Just Jade Ink with a Sponge Dauber. Then, I attached it to the panel with Dimensionals.

“Merry” was cut from Gold Foil with A Word Wishes Die.

The third card took a bit more time, because I used the stenciling technique, but still not difficult. The card base and Just Jade layer have the same measurements as above, but this time I embossed the layer with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
Using one of the Forever Gold Rectangles as a stencil, I held it in place on Whisper White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), and applied Just Jade Ink with a Sponge Dauber. The Nature’s Thoughts Die was just the right size to cut the stenciled leaves, leaving enough space for a Forever Gold rectangle to be used as a frame. I placed the “frame” in the middle of the Just Jade layer, without gluing. Then, I glued the back of the stenciled leaves, which is holding the “frame” in place.

Next, I used a Pine Woods Die to cut the tree from Just Jade Cardstock.
“Christmas” is from Word Wishes, cut from Gold Foil. And the tiny stars were cut from Forever Gold “edging” with a Happy Die. This card has enough detail to satisfy the avid stamper, don’t you think?

The Forever Gold Laser-Cut Paper is so neatly packaged, it’s hard to imagine without seeing it. You can click on this photo to view my YouTube video on the Forever Greenery Suite, which includes the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Paper.

I’m excited to say I’ll be attending Stampin’ Up’s Virtual On Stage, beginning today at 4:30, and ending Saturday at 2:30. Therefore, I won’t be posting cards Friday or Saturday.
For today, enjoy a cup of coffee!

Loving Coffee
I began with a Gray Granite card base, layered with REAL wood. Not really, but doesn’t it look real? It’s In Good Taste Designer Paper, and the texture it adds is amazing!
The cozy fabric is also In Good Taste Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.

Now for the coffee! The coffee cup is from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink (perfect, huh?) on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with its Love You More Than Die. I added a bit of color with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends.
“Coffee” was cut from Early Espresso Cardstock, and doubled for thickness, so it would be sturdy to hang over the edge of the oval. You can see the dies in the first photo; plus the complete bundle can be seen in my Product List below.

The sentiment, “Today’s plan: consume” is from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with a Layering Ovals Die. I used a scalloped Layering Ovals Die to give the plain oval a wood textured border, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Before attaching the coffee cup with a Dimensional, I stamped steam, from the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set, on the cozy fabric. And, your card is ready for a coffee loving friend.

I was inspired by Fusion.

Frosty has been waiting patiently to be the focal point of a Christmas card, and today was his day. When he found out I needed circles for a card challenge, he said he was nothing but circles!

Frosty and Circles
I stamped Frosty, from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, in Smoky Slate Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then, he giggled with delight as I used the Snowman Builder Punch for cutting. The punch even made his stick arms. There’s also a hat that can be punched, but he chose not to wear it, wanting to emphasize his circular head. To look his best, he asked that I add a bit of color with Stampin’ Blends: Pumpkin Pie (carrot nose) Basic Black (charcoal eyes, mouth and buttons) Smoky Slate (shadowing).

Frosty chose Seaside Spray for his background, feeling it was his most flattering color. I used the largest Ornate Layers Die for cutting the Seaside Spray layer, which I glued to the Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing the layer, I embossed it with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, because Frosty wanted as much snow as possible. And, he wanted me to add some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, because it looked like snowballs. It does, doesn’t it?

Next, I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut two circles of Seaside Spray Cardstock, and two scalloped circles of Whisper White Cardstock for layering. The larger circle was glued flat, and Frosty was attached with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on the smaller circle, and attached it with Dimensionals. “Let it snow” is from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.
Frosty is confident he will make the recipient smile.

I was inspired by TGIF, “Going in Circles.”
