Joyful Days Trifold for Fun Folds Blog Hop

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along.

This month’s design is a trifold, or triple fold-out, decorated with Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack. To create the card base, cut 8 1/2″ X 11″ Mossy Meadow Cardstock in half, giving you two pieces , 4 1/4″ X 11″. Score on the 11″ side: 2 1/2″, 3 3/4″, 6 3/4″, and 8 1/4″. Then, fold on the score lines, mountain/valley, mountain/valley.

Joyful Days Trifold

Next, cut three pieces of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: front panel 3 1/8″ X 4″, middle panel 4″ X 4″, and back panel 2 1/2″ X 4″. Decorate with Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack designs, cut 1/8″ smaller. Glue the decorated, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock panels to the folds, as shown, careful not to add glue to the portion that remains “free.” This is a view from the top.

As a final touch, each panel received Traditional Sparkling Sequins in red, green, and gold. These are fun to use, because they are self-adhesive, without holes in the center, and very sparkly in person. Did you notice that the third panel is ready for a personal message? It isn’t visible when the card is closed, and this card fits in our medium envelope.

Sweet & Spooky Halloween Kit

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

When I first saw this Sweet & Spooky Kit, I knew I’d be making it for Lily’s preschool friends. If you like it, I suggest ordering soon, so you’ll have time to make it before Halloween. It isn’t difficult, but it takes some time to make all 15 treat boxes (3 designs, 5 each).

Sweet & Spooky Kit

Pictured instructions come with the kit, but you can also watch a Stampin’ Up! video on You Tube. There is a video for new crafters, and one for those who know the basics. I began by punching out the pieces, and separating all of the supplies.

The treat boxes have score lines to fold, and it’s held together by just two pieces of Tear & Tape.

Each box has a tag, which you put together with Dimensionals. And, there are self-adhesive stars!

There is a paperclip to close the box at the top, with twine to tie the tag. The box is 2 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ X 3″, not counting the slanted portion to the top, making it 5″.

The timing was perfect for this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge, “spooky.” We’d love to see your “spooky” creations, so please share with social media, and tag them #gdp515.

Extraordinary Flora in Fall Colors

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

If you own Stampin’ Blends, I know you like to color, so put on your reading glasses, and let’s get started! First, I stamped the Extraordinary Flora Stamp in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. If you aren’t familiar with this unique stamp, check it out in my Product List below. Then, I used its Extraordinary Flora Die for cutting, and colored all the pieces using Stampin’ Blends in six, Fall colors: Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Darling Duckling, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Extraordinary Flora, You Are Remarkable, Peaceful Greenery, Peace On Earth; #extraordinaryflora #youareremarkable #peacefulgreenery #peaceonearth #fallflowers #fall #handmadecards #cardmaking #stampinup

Extraordinary Flora for Fall

Second, I prepared the background of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, by embossing it with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Third, I used a Peace On Earth Die to cut Thick Basic White Cardstock, and stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink. This die-cut frame fits perfectly within the embossed area.  “Sometimes the simplest things mean the most” is from the You Are Remarkable Stamp Set. I love this set for vertical sentiments! Next, I glued the edges of flora around the frame, and raised it on Dimensionals.

You can barely see the white dots I added, but I didn’t want them to detract from the flowers.

Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape Thanks

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

How I love the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape! It was easy to adhere to Basic White Cardstock, and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with its Extraordinary Flora Die. It’s so much fun to cut the beautiful pieces all at the same time.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Extraordinary Flora, Blooming Phrases, Textured Notes Dies; #extraordinaryflora #washitape #bloomingphrases #texturednotesdies #freshlymadesketches #handmadecards #cardmaking #stampinup #holographicresindots #thankyoucards

Washi Tape Thanks

Next, I prepared the background by cutting Basic White Cardstock with the largest Textured Notes Die, another favorite. Prior to gluing it to a Soft Sea Foam card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “Thanks” is from the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set. Don’t you love the font with a tail on the last letter? You can see the entire stamp set in my Product List below.

Finally, I attached seven, Extraordinary Floral pieces to the card front with Dimensionals, as shown. The last step was adding sparkle with Holographic Resin Dots. This Sunday, the 21st, I’m going to share a card I created with the Extraordinary Flora Bundle, without using the Washi Tape.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
