Stylish Shapes for Christmas

Hot off the press: Stampin’ Up! is having a one-day-only stamp sale, tomorrow September 18. Come back tomorrow for a link to the sale product list.

The starting point for today’s card was to cut three squares, using the third largest, Stylish Shapes Die. The squares were cut from two designer papers: Season Of Elegance and Regals Distressed Patterns. Then, I glued the squares together, turned on the diagonal, and placed them on Dimensionals. To decorate the squares, I used a Scenic Adventure Die to cut pine trees from the same, Season Of Elegance DSP. The trees were layered with cardstock for thickness, and glued in place.

Stylish Shapes Christmas

Next, I cut the background from Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and gave it texture with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The word “Christmas” was cut from gold, Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. After layering it for thickness, I glued it on top of the trees. To complete the design, I added three Adhesive Backed Birds in gold.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Extraordinary Floral Wedding Arch for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. We’d love to see what you do with this sketch. Please show off your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp514, so everyone can see it.

Stampin’ Up! has wonderful, Everyday Arches Dies, so it was just a matter of deciding that I wanted to create a wedding arch. I began by using the 3rd and 6th largest dies to cut an arch from Crumb Cake Cardstock.

By Su Mohr for GDP 514; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, Extraordinary Flora Die, Perfectly Pears, Everyday Arches, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder; #extraordinaryflora #perfectlypears #weddingcard #weddingarch #everydayarches #exposedbrick #stampin'up #globaldesignproject

Wedding Arch

Next, I cut Basic Beige Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered it for thickness, and cut a hole in the center, using the 5th largest Everyday Arches Die. Then, I embossed the layer with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, and attached it with Dimensionals to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The Crumb Cake arch was then glued in place.

Now, for the really fun part! I adhered Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape to Basic Beige Cardstock, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I used Dimensionals to attach eight pieces to the Crumb Cake arch, and glued two pieces flat beneath the top of the arch. To complete the card, I stamped “Congratulations” (from Perfectly Pears) in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, used its die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Nests Of Winter Christmas Card

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Nests Of Winter Designer Paper is wonderful, and I’m happy it’s still available. The focal point of today’s card is a bird that I fussy cut from one of the patterns. Then, I used the sixth largest Everyday Arches Die to cut another pattern of Nests Of Winter DSP.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Nests Of Winter DSP, Everyday Arches Dies, Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, Iridescent Foil Gems; #everydayarches #exposedbrick #nestofwinter #gems #freshlymadesketches #sketchchallenge #Christmas2025 #holidaycards #stampinup #handmadecards #cardmaking

Nests Of Winter

Next, I used the fourth largest and sixth largest Everyday Arches Dies to cut a frame from Shaded Spruce cardstock. Then, I glued the arches to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the card front with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.

The sentiment, “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” is from a retired stamp set, Itty Bitty Christmas. I stamped it in Shaded Spruce Ink, used the smallest Everyday Arches Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. After attaching the bird with Dimensionals, I added three Iridescent Foil Gems, and my card was complete.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Joyful Days for Stampin’ Fancy Friday

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month’s challenge is “Sparkle & Shine.”

It’s always fun to add “Sparkle & Shine” to Christmas cards!  I began today’s card by Using Word Wishes Dies to cut “Merry Christmas” from gold, Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.  This die set has retired, but Words for the Season Dies are in the 2025 Holiday Catalog, available now.

By Su Mohr for Stampin' Fancy Friday; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack, Words For The Season Dies, Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder, Peace On Earth Dies, Traditional Sparkle Sequins; Textured metallic paper; #wordsfortheseason #joyfuldays #sparklesequins #peacefulgreenery #peaceonearth #sparkle&shine #stampin'fancyfriday #stampinup

“Sparkle & Shine”

For the background, I used a selection from Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack, cut to 5 1/4″ X 4″. It was at the top of my list, because, there are 54 double-sided cards in this pack, and the artwork is amazing! It can be used for scrapbooking AND card making! After cutting, I embossed it with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder.

Next, I used a Peace On Earth Die to cut the sentiment label from the scene of trees, as well as a piece of Vellum. Vellum was used to obscure the trees, so Merry Christmas would be clearly visible. Then, I glued the “border” to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. After gluing “Merry Christmas” to the Vellum, I glued the Vellum to the trees label cut, and raised the label on Dimensionals.

For a bit more sparkle, I added three Traditional Sparkle Sequins in gold. Aren’t they pretty?

Beautiful Pumpkins Fun Fold for Pals Blog Hop

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! The Pals are “Ready for Fall” and hope to inspire you with card and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along!

It isn’t Fall without pumpkins, and I’m excited to share the new, Beautiful Pumpkins Bundle on a fun fold card. To begin the Double Z Fun Fold, I cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Crumb Cake Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″, and scored it at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″. Then, I cut three panels of Basic White Cardstock;  2 1/2″ X 4″ for the two smaller panels, and 5 1/4″ X 4″ for the larger panel. Prior to gluing the panels, I gave them texture with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Beautiful Pumpkins Stamp Set, Beautiful Pumpkins Dies, Woven Textures DSP, Gathering leaves Embossing Folder, More Than Autumn Dies; #beautifulpumpkins #pumpkins #fall #fallcards #woventextures #palsbloghop #funfoldcards #funfolds ##gatheringleaves #morethanautumn #stampinup

Beautiful Pumpkins

Next, I used the new, Beautiful Pumpkins Bundle to decorate my Fall card. I stamped the pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie Ink and Peach Pie Ink, used their dies for cutting, and attached them with Dimensionals. The stalks were stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, die-cut, and glued in place. Then, I cut vines from three colors of Cardstock (Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist) and glued them in place. Isn’t this vine fabulous?

After the pumpkins and vines, I cut a band for the bottom from Crumb Cake Cardstock, 11″ X 1 1/4,” scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″. The band was decorated with three strips of Woven Textures Designer Paper.  The long strip is 5 1/4″ X 1″, and the two shorter strips are 2 1/2″ X 1″. The trickiest part of the Double Z Fun Fold is fastening the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. I find it easiest to apply glue to the folded band, because this exposes only the part that should have glue. Then, fold the card while adhering the band in place. I suggest having a “dry” run before applying glue.

The words, “Pumpkin Season” were cut from Gold Foil, using More Than Autumn Dies. The sentiment, “Thankful for the small things” is from the Beautiful Pumpkins Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Beautiful Butterflies Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added several, gold, Metallic Gems.

This month’s projects have been full of ideas you can use—whether you’re making cards, gifts, or just adding a little sparkle to your everyday creativity. The Pals have their own projects ready to share, and trust me, you don’t want to miss them!
