MY BOGO SALE

For the month of October, I will be offering a FREE BUNDLE with every $50.00 you order from me (merchandise subtotal, before tax and shipping). The free bundles are retired and gently used by me, and are pictured on my blog (menu item “BOGO Sale”). You will need to send me an email ([email protected]) with your mailing address and the title of the set you are choosing immediately after placing your order with Stampin’ Up! You’ll want to let me know right away, before someone else selects it, because these bundles are one-of-a-kind. I will remove the ones that are selected, and mail them the first of November. Sound fun? I hope so!

For the first day of October, I wanted to share a Fun Fold Christmas card, featuring pears! I learned to make this Fun Fold, during “mystery stamping,” at Peggy Noe’s virtual team meeting. She gave us the instructions for this “bridge” card design, and we all selected our own cardstock, designer paper, sentiment, and decorations.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Perfectly Pears Bundle, Painterly Pears DSP, Scenic Adventure Stamp Set, Jolly Holly Stamp Set, Peppermint Embellishments; #perfectlypears #painterlypears #pears #funfolds #bridgefunfold #peppermints #handmadecards #cardmaking #stampinup

Pears on “Bridge” Fun Fold

I began by cutting Mossy Meadow Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 10, scoring, and folding, each end 2 1/4″. Then, I cut two pieces of Painterly Pears Designer Paper, 2″ X 4″, and glued them to the folded ends. This was followed by cutting Real Red Cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 3 3/4″, and gluing Painterly Pears Designer Paper to it, 1 5/8″ X 3 5/8″. The top third of this “bridge” piece was glued to the top flap, leaving the rest free. Next, I used Perfectly Pears Dies to cut two pears, and stems & leaves, from Painterly Pears Designer Paper. Then, I stamped the pears, with a Scenic Adventure tree stamp, in Mossy Meadow Ink, and Old Olive Ink.

For the inside, I cut Real Red Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and layered it with Basic White Cardstock 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″. Then, I stamped “Merry Christmas” in Real Red Ink in the open space, seen from the closed card. This sentiment is from the Jolly Holly Stamp Set. I glued one pear to the inside, beneath the bridge, and attached one pear to the top of the bridge with Dimensionals.

As a final step, I added three Peppermint embellishments.

Online photo that was my inspiration.

Fun with Embossing Folders

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE the talented, Berdien Weideveld. We’d love to see what you create, so please tag it with #gdp516 when you share it on social media.

I used one idea, with different embossing folders and colors, to create two different cards!

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Beautiful Butterflies, Lovely Garden, Alphabet Dies, Rainbow Dots,Happy Hibiscus, Celebratory Sips; #beautifulbutterflies #lovelygarden #alphabetalamode #rainbowdots #celebratorysips #embossingfolders #cardmaking #handmadecards #stampinup #hi

Embossing Folder Fun

I began with Basic White Cardstock, cut into four rectangles for each card, 1 7/8″ X 2 1/2″. Then, I placed the rectangles on the Happy Hibiscus and Beautiful Butterflies embossing folders, and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Next, I glued four, embossed rectangles to Lovely Garden Designer Paper, and Celebratory Sips Designer Paper, both, 4″ X 5 1/4. The Happy Hibiscus card base is Strawberry Slush Cardstock, and the Beautiful Butterflies card base is Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, both 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

After contemplating the sentiment, I decided on “HI,” created with the Alphabet a La Mode Dies and the designer paper. I liked the way the thin lines of the letters duplicated the thin lines of the design. After layering the letters for thickness, I glued them in place. Both cards received some Rainbow Dots, as a final touch.

Thankful for You

Fall is in the air, and the perfect time to use the Gathering Moments Bundle! I began by stamping leaves, acorns and berries in four colors of ink on Basic Beige Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Early Espresso, and Cajun Craze. Then, I used their Gathering Moments Dies for cutting.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Woven Textures DSP, Gathering Moments Bundle,Textured Notes Dies; Antique Pearls; #gatheringmoments #woven textures #texturednotes #fall #fallcards #leaves #stampinup #

Thankful for You

The background is Basic Beige Cardstock, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die. This was layered on Woven Textures Designer Paper, cut with the largest Textured Notes Die. Both layers were glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I glued the Crushed Curry leaves flat, glued the Cajun Craze berries to the Old Olive leaves, attached the leaves with Dimensionals, and attached the acorns with Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “Thankful for you,”  was stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with the smallest Textured Notes Die. I glued this to the same Woven Textures DSP, cut with the second smallest Textured Notes Die, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final touch, I added three, Antique Pearls.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Happy Birthday Mail for Piccadilli Players

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Who are the Piccadilli Players? We are 2024 Artisan Design Team Members who wanted to keep our group together for quarterly Instagram hops. The theme for our third hop was “birthdays,” which posted on Instagram yesterday, September 26th. For my birthday card, I chose Peace On Earth Dies and Peaceful Garden Designer Paper, from the 2025 September-December Catalog. Beginning with the Peace On Earth Dies, I cut a bird, and envelopes (one for every day of the week) from Basic White Cardstock, and twigs from Shaded Spruce Cardstock.

By Su Mohr for Piccadilli Players Instagram Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Peaceful Garden DSP, Peace On Earth Dies, The Right Words Stamp Set, Perennial Postage Dies, So Swirly Embossing Folder, Iridescent Pearls; #peacefulgarden #peaceonearth #piccadilliplayers #perennialpostage #therightwords #birthdaycard #soswirly #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking #stampinup #happymail #birds

Happy Birthday Mail

Next, I cut the background from Peaceful Garden Designer Paper with the largest, Perennial Postage Die. Prior to gluing it to Basic White Cardstock, I gave it texture with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. Then, I glued both layers to a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment is from The Right Words Stamp Set. I stamped “to someone worth celebrating every single day” in Pretty Peacock Ink on the same DSP, and used a Perennial Postage Die for cutting. After attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I glued the twigs, and attached the bird and envelopes with Dimensionals. Then, I added Iridescent Pearls as a final touch.

For the inside, I cut Basic White Cardstock with the largest Perennial Postage Die. After stamping “Happy Birthday” in Pretty Peacock Ink, I glued it to the card base. To complete the card, I cut a second bird from Peaceful Garden DSP with a Peace On Earth Die, and glued it in place.

Merry Christmas Snow Scene

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

We’re having warm days in San Diego, so I enjoyed cooling down with today’s, snow scene, Christmas card.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Scenic Adventures, Thoughtful Journey, Branching Out, Words For The Season; #thoughtfuljourney #wordsfortheseason #scenicadventures #branchingout #christmascards #handmadecards #cardmaking # #snowscene #pinetrees #stampinup

Snow Scene for Christmas

I began by using a Scenic Adventure Die to cut the row of trees from Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 3″, along with a pair of trees.

Then, I glued the row of trees to Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper, 6″ X 6″, and used the second largest Branching Out Die for cutting. This would give the entire piece a nice, stitched edge.

After this first cut, I decided to use the largest Branching Out Die to cut Basic White Cardstock for a frame. After gluing the two together, I attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I glued the pair of trees in place.

“Merry Christmas” was cut from Silver Foil, using Word Wishes Dies, a retired set. But, there is a new set, Words for the Season, that includes these words. You can see it in my Product List below. To complete the sentiment, I dotted the “i” with a tiny Rhinestone.

I was inspired by TGIF.
