Bird Ballad Designer Paper and Stitched Lace make a great combination.

Many Thanks
I’m actually casing a card of mine from May, because it was well received. Clicking on the picture will take you to the details.

birds & lace
Here is the Paper Players sketch I used for today’s card.

This card began with a Thick Whisper White card base, layered with Whisper White cardstock that was embossed by the Subtle Textured embossing folder. Next, more Whisper White was cut with the Stitched Lace Die. I used the edge die in the set to finish the four sides, and placed it in the horizontal orientation. The lace was a spec too large for the vertical orientation, so this was a good solution. Right?

After the background was set, I chose a bird from the beautiful, Bird Ballad DSP, and cut it with a Layering Circles Die. The border was made with a scalloped, Layering Circles Die and Noble Peacock Foil (Old Olive). The foil adds a nice hint of shine.

To complete the Paper Players sketch, I fussy cut some flowers from another piece of Bird Ballad DSP, and added a sentiment.
“Many thanks” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, stamped in Old Olive Ink, and cut with a Merry Christmas label die.

It’s easy and fun making these three-tiered, 3D daisies, with a Bone Folder. My colors are from the Fab Friday challenge.

Swirling Daisies
Here is the Fab Friday challenge:

I began with the swirly, See A Silhouette Designer Paper, on a Blueberry Bushel card base.
Why not toss some daisies on there? So, I stamped petals from the Daisy Delight and Daisy Lane stamp sets in Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove inks. Then, I cut the six rounds of petals with their punches. The two sizes of punches are in my Product List, along with their coordinating stamp sets.

Next, I curled the petals with a Bone Folder in a downward motion, and glued them together; two large, and the medium on top.
Click on this card, if you’d like to see a YouTube video of how I used the Bone Folder to form the daisies.

The leaves were made with a Frosted Bouquet die, and Call me Clover Cardstock, that I embossed with the Subtle Textured embossing folder.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Itty Bitty stamp set, stamped in Blueberry Bushel Ink, and cut with a Merry Christmas label die.
I feel “happy” looking at the end result, so I think it makes a good “happy birthday” card.

Thank you for stopping by. It’s fun trying new color combinations. It might end up being one of your favorites!

I’m still loving this deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set, and the way it cuts out easily with its Detailed Deer die. This deer is stamped in Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, and layered for thickness.

Dashing Deer
Since the deer wanted to be camouflaged, I let her blend in with a Crumb Cake background, layered on a Cherry Cobbler card base. The Cherry Cobbler matches a rectangle of Wrapped In Plaid 6X6 Designer Paper, and the scalloped border around the oval sentiment.

The sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, like the deer.
Layering Oval dies were used for cutting, then the sentiment was placed on Dimensionals.

A strip of Burlap Ribbon is underneath the sentiment, adhered with a piece of Tear & Tape. If you aren’t familiar with Tear & Tape, you can click on the picture in my Product List. It’s a strong adhesive, and works well with ribbon.
The wood textured rectangle is a piece of Pressed Petals Designer Paper, adding to the rustic flavor of the card.

Today’s design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

This may end up being a card I make in quantity, since it would be fairly easy to duplicate. I would love to have my Christmas cards made before November. We’ll see!
Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

Life is full of adventure for this guy riding his bike at sunset.

Sunset Adventure
Today’s project began with the word, “adventure,” from the Sweet Silhouettes die set, cut from Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

The sunset was made with a Layering Circles die and See A Silhouette Designer Paper. The red and yellow design makes a brilliant, instant sunset, don’t you think?
The sunset is contrasted against a layer of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock on a Thick Whisper White card base. The Blueberry Bushel layer was cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die for added interest.

I stamped the cyclist from the Enjoy Life stamp set, in Memento Black Ink, on the sunset circle.
The cyclist’s “road” is a retired piece of In-Color 6X6 Designer Paper. The current patterns are in my Product List below.
Using the Stamparatus, I positioned the “road,” stamping the wheels, so they would align with the wheels on the sunset.

My inspiration for today’s card was the Global Design Project challenge.
Thank you for stopping by. May your life be filled with adventure and beautiful sunsets!

Once again, I find myself using the fabulous tree from the Sweet Silhouettes die set.

Tree of thanks
Today’s card was inspired by TGIF’s challenge, “all on black.”

The challenge determined the Basic Black Cardstock background, which I layered on a Soft Suede card base. There is wood textured paper in the Pressed Petals Designer Paper collection that I thought would make a good tree, and I used the Sweet Silhouettes die for cutting.

To add some color, I made blossoms with a Bouquet Bunch die, and another piece of the Pressed Petals DSP. Using the DSP this way, gives the blossoms a nice variation of color.

All that remained was the sentiment, which I found in the Well Written die set. I cut “thanks” from another piece of Pressed Petals Designer Paper, and my “all on black” card was complete.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my “tree of thanks.” Keep scrolling to see my short, “ink-free” Product List.

Today’s friendship card is a “quick & easy” version of Saturday’s Playful Penguin card.

Simply Penguins
It’s “quick & easy,” because there is no fussy cutting. You simply stamp the two penguins on Whisper White Cardstock, which measures, 4″ X 2 1/2″. I added a layer of Granny Apple Green for color, cutting it 1/8″ larger, for a 1/16″ border.
The card base is retired, Marine Mist Cardstock, but you should use Balmy Blue Cardstock, which is current, and a shade lighter. I embossed the card front with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder, keeping it simple, without an extra layer.

The sentiments in the set have a terrific font, and are suitable for a number of occasions. You can click on the stamp set in my Product List to see the details. You can order it here too!
I stamped “Nothing warms the heart quite like a good friend,” in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die, and placed it on Dimensionals.
TIP: Stamp the sentiment before cutting, to insure that it is straight.
And, that’s it! Simply Penguins, a “quick & easy,” friendship card.

Here’s my fussy cut card, in case you missed it on Saturday. (click on it for details) I forgot to add the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder to today’s card, but you can see it in Saturday’s Product List.

Penguin Friends
Thank you for stopping by! Simple or more detailed, I think you can see, I love the penguins! On a side note, penguins are often thought of as birds, but I asked Siri, and they are definitely animals.
