This week’s Paper Player’s sketch provided the perfect opportunity for me to use the new, Dino Days Bundle.

Denim Dino
Here’s the sketch:

Honestly, I was on the fence about ordering this Bundle, until my 50 year old daughter was here visiting. As we were looking through the catalog, we came to this set, and laughed ourselves silly. She said, “I know you’re going to give me one of those cards.” She’s right!
I’m still laughing today, because this dinosaur is stretching his short, little arms as far as he can, and the sentiment is too cute! Don’t you want to squeeze him? I love his denim look by stamping him in Night of Navy Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment, “I love you this much! (It’s more than it looks.)” in Night of Navy Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. A Rectangle Stitched Die was used for cutting; a larger one which I turned around to get the length I wanted.

After stamping and cutting the dinosaur with his die, I decided that the two inch wide strip would be this pretty leaf pattern of See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper. I discovered it blended well with the Seaside Spray Cardstock layer on a Night of Navy card base.
The two leaf sprigs were made with the Leaf Punch, Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper, and layered for thickness.
Dino hopped up on the sentiment, with the help of Dimensionals, and my “adult” card was complete.

You’ll find the Dino Days Bundle in my Product List, which is 10% less than buying the stamp set and dies separately. I highly recommend buying the bundle, because this is one set where you really need both.
I hope I made you smile today. Have a great one!

Butterfly Wishes is the name of the stamp set, and the title for today’s project.
I began by stamping the single flower from Butterfly Wishes, randomly, on a 4″ X 1 3/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The ink colors are: Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, and Calypso Coral.

Butterfly Wishes
I needed to have the 4″ X 1 3/4″ piece for the Global Design Project’s Challenge.

Next, I decided on a background of Daffodil Delight, Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, which I layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.
My piece of stamped flowers looked a little plain, so I added some lace, made with the Stitched Lace Dies.

I found the sentiment, “wishes,” in the Well Written Die Set, and thought it would look great in Black Foil. Doesn’t it look like patent leather?

My three, sweet, butterflies are also from the Well Written Die Set, and they completed the Global Design Project sketch.
TIP: I cut the butterflies from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, glued them in the middle, then lifted their wings.

Thank you for stopping by. Today’s card makes me happy, so I hope it brings you some cheer!

Today’s unicorn, from the Leave A Little Sparkle Stamp Set, has a colorful mane. I had so much fun coloring the mane with Stampin’ Up’s! Watercolor Pencils, I forgot to record the colors. Sorry.

Colorful Mane
The colors needed to be bright, like the VW bus, for this week’s Fusion challenge. You can see, I also used the sketch, which made a “clean & simple” card.

The card base is Thick Whisper White Cardstock, layered with Whisper White, cut with a Rectangle Stitched Die, and embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

Before coloring the unicorn, I stamped him in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and used a Rectangle Stitched Die for cutting. I also stamped the sentiment, “Make your dreams come true,” which is in the Leave A Little Sparkle Stamp Set.
The unicorn’s rectangle has a border of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, which picks up the color in his mane.

Thank you for being my “follower” or clicking on my picture in Pinterest. I love sharing my ideas with you!
If you click on the picture of the Watercolor Pencils in my Product List, it will give you the colors.

The new, Sweet Silhouettes Die Set has five wonderful dies, including this tree.

Sparkle
I am casing Brian King’s design for this week’s CAS(E) this sketch.

I began with a card base in the beautiful, new, In Color, Purple Posy. This is layered with Whisper White Cardstock, Highland Heather Cardstock, and a piece of In Color 6X6 Designer Series Paper. There are four patterns, and the one I chose has tiny script running across it.

I added a shim when cutting the tree, and it cut through the Whisper White Cardstock without any problems.
After gluing my fabulous tree to the layers, I decorated it with the new, Woven Threads Sequins.

The sequins were sparkling, and it seemed only right to add the sentiment, “Leave A Little Sparkle Wherever You Go.” This sentiment is from the Leave A Little Sparkle stamp set, or, you may recognize it as the “unicorn” stamp set.
The words fit the Layering Oval Die perfectly, which I stamped in Highland Heather Ink, and bordered it with a scalloped oval from Purple Posy Cardstock.

Just when you think you’ve seen all the wonders of Washi Tape, flower petals appear!

Washi Tape Petals
When I first saw this Pressed Petals Washi Tape in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I wasn’t sure how to use it, but knew I had to have it. If you feel the same way, clicking on the picture in my Product List will take you to my store for ordering.

It turns out, the flower was easy to make. I peeled off six petals, attaching them together at the center. They were sticky, so, placed them on my Silicone Craft Sheet, and put a Perennial Essence Floral Center in the middle.

Before making today’s card, I read a tip from Jacquii, that the Embossing Buddy will remove the stickiness. It worked perfectly! She also told us that each roll has 100 petals, which is good to know.

Now, on to the card, where I found the layout at TGIF.

I’m in love with the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper, and I used a pattern that duplicates my “real” flower. I made a 2″ banner with the Banner Triple Punch, adding two layers for thickness.
The card base is Crumb Cake, topped with a 1/8″ Pressed Petals DSP border, and more Crumb Cake Cardstock that I embossed with the new Brick Wall Embossing Folder.

My flower is resting on a Crumb Cake hexagon, cut with a Stitched Nested Labels Die.
“Thinking of You” is from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, and stamped in Merry Merlot Ink.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed seeing the new Pressed Petals Washi Tape. Incidentally, the brown Washi Tape in the picture has verses on it. It’s unique also, and I’ll be using it in the future.
If you like it, order ASAP. I’m just guessing, but the Washi Tape and Floral Centers seem like “sell-out” items.

The stamp set being featured this week at What Will You Stamp? is Nine Lives.

Cattails & Cat

Cat was happy to be the star of the show, so I used the Cat Punch with Very Vanilla Cardstock to make my mischievous cat. I know he is mischievous, because he has caused trouble on a number of my projects. Today, he didn’t want stripes or spots, but allowed me to give him definition by using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Ink around his body.

He insisted on hiding in cattails, because he loves catching mice there. Plus, he argued that he’s a cat, and has a cat tail, and thought it was a great play on words. I agreed, because I was anxious to use the new cattail die from the Friendly Silhouettes Die Set. The new Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper seemed to make Cat happy for his cattails, and it does look pretty, doesn’t it?
The same DSP was used for the background, which I cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and placed on a Crumb Cake card base. Cat is sitting on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Corrugated Folder. He thought that would add to his camouflage, and I like the dimension it adds.

Cat refused to say anything but “meow,” even though the stamp set has other great sentiments. Oh well, he does look cute hiding among the cattails. Can you see the mouse?

Thanks for stopping by. I’m sure Cat will ask me if you were able to see him, and thinks everyone should have some cattails. Clicking on the picture in my Product List will take you right to the Friendly Silhouettes Dies!
