Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month’s theme is “Birthday Celebrations.” The Pals hope to inspire you with card ideas and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along!
I had fun using the Everyday Arches Bundle for today’s birthday card.

Arch Shaped Birthday Card
I began with a card base of Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, which I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, with the largest Everyday Arches Die. I placed the die as close to the edge as possible, without cutting the fold. Then, I used the second largest Everyday Arches Die to cut Floral Vellum, and glued it in place.

Next, I used the fifth largest Everyday Arches Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and glued it in middle of the card front. Then, I used the sixth largest Everyday Arches Dies to cut Gingham Vellum, along with Basic White Cardstock for backing. Prior to gluing, I stamped “Happy Birthday” in Old Olive Ink, and let it dry overnight, because it smears easily if it isn’t dry. This sentiment is from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set, which I chose for the font.
The three flowers were cut from the Floral Vellum with a Delightful Wishes Die. Then, I attached the flowers with Dimensionals, and added Rainbow Dots.

For the inside, I used the second largest Everyday Arches Die to cut Basic White Cardstock. Before Gluing it in place, I stamped “you are simply fantastic” In Pool Party Ink. This is one of the fun, arched, sentiments in the Everyday Arches Stamp Set. I also stamped a flower from the Delightful Wishes Stamp Set in Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Inks. The envelope flap was decorated with Floral Delight Designer Paper.

We have more inspiration to share, so use the lineup below to visit each team member’s page for fresh ideas, unique styles, and endless inspiration. And get ready—next month, we’re designing for “The Male Room” theme, where we’ll be making cards for the men in our lives.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun theme: sunshine & rainbows. There’s a wonderful sun in the Spring Corners Bundle, and I used two of the dies to cut a sun from Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper.

Sunshine & Rainbows
I wanted the sun to have a rainbow background, and used a multi colored piece of Beautiful Bokeh, 4″ X 5 1/4″, that was just what I needed. I glued this to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The clouds were cut from Basic White Cardstock with Umbrella Days Dies. Aren’t they pretty clouds? To see a rainbow, you need to have rain, which I created with an Umbrella Days stamp and Lost Lagoon Ink.

The sentiment, “the storm will end, and the sun will shine again,” is also from the Umbrella Days Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Lost Lagoon Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. Then, I used an Autumn Leaves Die for cutting, and attached it with the clouds on Dimensionals. To add some rainbow sparkle, I attached five, Iridescent Foil Gems.

Now it’s your turn to get creative with “sunshine & rainbows.” Please post your design, and tag it #gdp487.

I’ve been thinking of an Easter card with a rainbow, and today’s card came together like I was imagining. Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper was perfect for the rainbow, which I cut with Everyday Arches Dies in three sizes: third largest, fifth largest, and seventh largest.

He is risen
Next, I embossed Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder. Then, I glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. After gluing the rainbow together, I glued it to the embossed card front.

The cross was created with two Faith Collection Dies. I cut the solid piece of the cross from Beautiful Bokeh DSP, and the overlay from Thick Basic White Cardstock. After gluing them together, they were attached with Dimensionals. The sentiment, “He is risen,” is from the Faith Collection Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.

Are you ready to see some “two-step” stamping with a new stamp set, You Are Remarkable? First, I stamped the “outline” of the flower in Memento Black Ink. (See the stamp set below). Second, I lined up leaves stamp with the outline, and stamped it with Old Olive Ink. Third, I lined up the flower petals stamp, and stamped it with Crushed Curry Ink. Fourth, I lined up the flower center, and stamped it with Pecan Pie Ink.
After stamping, I used the third largest Textured Notes Die for cutting. Then, I glued the flower layer to Floral Delight Designer Paper, in yellow gingham, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die.

Two-Step Stamping
Here is the Textured Notes Die Set, showing all the sizes. Don’t you love the detailed borders?

This is the Remarkable You Stamp Set.

I know you’re all going to be excited about the next layer, because we LOVE embossing folders. This is the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder.

To create the third layer, I used the largest Textured Notes Die to cut Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder to give it texture. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Hi friend” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. After stamping the words in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, I used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting. Then, I layered it for thickness, and glued it in place. The little bee is so cute; stamped in Memento Black Ink to complete my design.

I had fun using some of the wonderful, “punch-out” pieces from the Heirloom Arrangements Kit. I began with the yellow, banner piece, and used a Delightful Wishes Die to cut a pattern in it.
Next, I cut Basic White Cardstock, using the largest Textured Notes Die. After giving it texture with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder, I glued it to a Lemon Lolly card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Easter Greetings” is from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set, which I stamped in Pecan Pie Ink on an Heirloom Arrangements “punch-out.” Before gluing it in place, I added two floral “punch-outs.” For a cute addition, a duck joined the group, a “punch-out” from Storybook Moments Designer Paper.

If “fun & easy” is the name of your game, you should try this card, created with Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper. The round wreath is one of the many “punch-outs” that is part of the Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper. Click on the picture in my Product List to see all of the selections. I began with a Petal Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with one of the patterns, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

Window Sheet Experiment
As an experiment, I cut a round piece of Window Sheet to glue beneath the wreath. The largest, round, Stylish Shapes Die was just a guide, because I had to cut through the Window Sheet with scissors. Next, I stamped the sentiment, from the Sharing Loving Crafting Stamp Set, in Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used the 1 3/4″ Stylish Shapes circle die for cutting. The vertical strip was cut with a Delightful Wishes Die from another pattern of Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper, and glued across the back of the sentiment circle. Then, both were glued on top of the Window Sheet and wreath, and all were lifted above the card front on Mini Dimensionals.

To complete my card, I added three Iridescent Foil Gems. This design could easily be turned into a “shaker” card, but I was concentrating on Global Design Project’s sketch challenge.

Here is the Global Design Project sketch. We’d love to see what you do with it, and don’t forget to tag it #GDP486.
