This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Nicole Peschke’s inspiring card.
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The layer of Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, was given color with Moody Mauve Ink and a Blending Brush, applied over an Artistic Mix Decorative Mask. Then, I used a “splotch” stamp from Of Art & Texture with VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder. The last picture partially shows that it is shiny gold, which doesn’t show at all in this picture!

Next, I used the large, Magnolia Mood Die to cut the flowers and leaves from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and glued it in place.
“Happy Birthday” is from the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. A Wonderful Thoughts Die was used for cutting, and I attached it with Dimensionals. I added three Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins as a final touch.

Stampin’ Up! releases two new, kits, every month! The instructions, and all of the supplies are in each kit, along with decorative envelopes. You’ll find all of the available kits in my Online Exclusives below.
This is April’s Hooray for Honeycomb Kit, with enough supplies to make nine cards (3 each of 3 designs). The first thing I did was look at the instructions, punch out everything, and separate the “ingredients” for each design.
Hooray For Honeycomb Kit
Card number one is a “congratulations” card. Don’t you love the colorful rainbow? Full Dimensionals were used to lift the clouds, and Dimensionals that I cut in half were used to lift the sun rays. The real fun is on the inside, when you open a paper honeycomb piece for the sun.
The second card makes a great birthday card. Notice the decorated envelope, and the honeycomb balloon on the inside. There’s plenty of Baker’s Twine for a bow on the card front, adhered with a glue dot.
This time the honeycomb piece is on the front. These honeycomb pieces have peel-and-stick on both sides. To fit it in the envelope, I would adhere one side, and let the recipient open and stick the other half.

Today’s card shows off zinnias, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I added uniqueness to the design by cutting the flowers in four pieces, using a Perennial Postage Die. Then, I glued them back together on a pattern of Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5″, and placed it on Dimensionals. Don’t you like the look of perforated postage stamps?

The card base is Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with another pattern of Flowering Zinnias DSP, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Looking at the stamp set, I was inspired to leave the flowers black and white.
“Thank you” is from the Something Fancy Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink. What an easy card to make!

This clean and simple card was created with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The next layer is Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper, cut a spec smaller than the Basic White Cardstock layer on top, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

The top layer was cut with a Love Of Spring Die, six times, allowing the Flowering Zinnias DSP to show through the “cut-outs.”
Prior to gluing the top layer, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “Words fail to express my gratitude” is from the Simply Zinnias Stamp Set.
The Flowering Zinnias DSP has been very popular, and is scheduled to be back in stock the week of April 15. The Simply Zinnia Stamp Set is back in stock now. The Love Of Spring Dies are a Paper Pumpkin add-on, available to subscribers.

This week’s Global Design Project is all about “sweet treats.” My design features a tool kit, toting jars of honey, fussy cut from Bee Mine Designer Paper.
Honey Jars
The tool kit was cut with Trusty Tools Dies from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock. This great, red color, is one of the 2022-2024 In Colors that will be retiring soon. Be sure to order it soon, if you want to keep it in your collection. After gluing the handle, and the honey jars, I placed the tool kit on dimensionals.
Next, I used the largest, and second largest, Radiating Stitches Dies to cut a yellow plaid frame from Bee Mine Designer Paper. I backed it with Basic White Cardstock, a spec smaller than the frame, so it wouldn’t show. Then, I glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“You’re as sweet as honey” is from the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut it to size, and attached it with Dimensionals. A cute bee, from the Queen Bee Stamp Set, just happened to fly onto my card. You’ll find her in Online Exclusives, with a link below.
