For today’s card, I used the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set, featuring a hummingbird, who is attracted to beautiful flowers.
I began by stamping the hummingbird and flowers in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and coloring them with Stampin’ Blends in five colors: Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, and Daffodil Delight.

Hummingbird and Flowers
Prior to coloring, I used the Thoughtful Expressions Dies for cutting. I should point out that the stamp set is carrying over to the new catalog, but the dies are retiring. I discovered, after writing this post, that the dies are no longer available.

Two additional Thoughtful Expression Dies were used for the sentiment. “Where in the world would I be without you” is from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set, Stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I attached it, with Dimensionals, to the die-cut of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.

The layered sentiment was glued to a background, created with the Sketched Plaid Stamp, Granny Apple Green Ink, and Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This layer was glued to a Soft Sea Foam card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
After gluing my hummingbird and flowers in place, I added several Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins, and my card was complete.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly, and Fresh Freesia. See how our designers used the colors, then create your own design, and hang it in our gallery.
I’ll be giving you a sneak peek of the Country Birdhouse Bundle from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, because a cute, little, bird from that set insisted on participating in this challenge. Her reasoning was that she is the color of Lemon Lolly, and her name is Lolly, so I HAD to use her.

Lolly’s Ornament
Lolly said all I had to do was stamp her in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, twice, and use her Country Birdhouse Die for cutting. After coloring two birds with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends, I asked about the second bird. She said I needed to fussy cut the wing from the second bird, so I could lift her wing on a Dimensional. I liked her idea!

Next, Lolly said I could use her birdhouse later, because she wanted to make an ornament for this card. We found a large, Stylish Shapes circle die, to make a stencil. I placed this over a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and used a Small Blending Brush with Balmy Blue Ink for coloring.
The Country Birdhouse Die Set has great flowers for decorating Lolly’s ornament. We cut five flowers from Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and glued them in place.
To hang the ornament, I stamped a chain, from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. Then, I added a Basic Black Cardstock bow, cut with A Country Birdhouse Die.

Lolly wanted to perch on a perfectly shaped, Stylish Shapes label. I stamped “Happy Birthday” in Memento Black Ink, and attached it with Dimensionals. I thought our card was complete, but she said the flowers needed some bling. So, I added Tinsel Gems to the centers of the flowers, and now she is very excited about her ornament.

Lilies are beautiful, springtime flowers, and I chose the Easter Lilies Bundle for my Creative Artisan Project. I’m especially drawn to them now, because Lily is my granddaughter’s name.

Easter Lilies
Easter Lilies Dies were used to cut the flower petals from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I colored the centers with Small Blending Brushes, and two colors of ink: Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Vellum Cardstock, and cut with a Perennial Postage Die. This allowed the complete, stamped lily to be seen. The palm branch was stamped in Garden Green Ink, colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, and given a shadow with an additional die-cut from designer paper.

The Mini Alphabet Dies make it easy to personalize a tag. The letters were cut from designer paper, adhered to a Foam Adhesive Sheet for dimension. Perennial Postage Dies were used to create the tag. The Lily buds can be die-cut, but were stamped directly on the tag in my project.

All of the supplies used to create the three projects are in my Product List below.

This month’s assignment for the 2024 Artisan Design Team of Stampin’ Up! was to create projects using the Magnolia Mood Bundle. It’s an Online Exclusive, that I think you’ll want to add to your collection. I created two cards, using the beautiful elements in the suite. Links are in my Product List below, as well as my Online Exclusive store.

Magnolia Mood
The first card has an Early Espresso card base, layered with Basic White Cardstock, embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder. The top layer is Perennial Lavender Designer Paper, cut with the second largest Countryside Corners Die. I backed it with cardstock for thickness, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Prior to attaching the checked piece, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso Ink, and several leaves in Mossy Meadow Ink, both from the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set. The magnolias were stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut with their Magnolia Mood Die, curled the ends with my bone folder, and glued in place.
The second card has a Thick Basic White card base, layered with patterned, Perennial Lavender Designer Paper. The patterned DSP was cut with a Magnolia Mood Die, and backed with a solid Perennial Lavender DSP. I filled in the “hole” with magnolias, cut with the detailed Magnolia Mood Die.
“Happy Birthday” is from the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set, stamped in Pretty Peacock Ink, cut with a Countryside Corners Die, and attached with Dimensionals. I finished it of with some Pretty Peacock colored leaves and Iridescent Pearls.

Apr 10, 2024 | Gallery, Hand-Crafted Cards, Pals Blog Hop |

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is See How My Garden Grows. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My garden themed card will give you a sneak peek of products from the 2024-25 Annual Catalog, available May 1st. Along with a sneak peek, I’m using a current favorite, Textured Floral, available as a bundle, with a 10% discount. The Textured Floral stamp set and dies will be in the new catalog, but no longer sold as a bundle.
Let’s begin with the exciting, new, neutral color, Basic Beige, which I used for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I layered it with a pattern of new, Country Lace Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the sentiment, “Birthday blooms for you,” from the Textured Floral Stamp Set. It was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, which is a great combo with Basic Beige, because they both have green undertones.

New Basic Beige!!!
The wreath was created with Encircled In Nature Dies, used to cut Basic Beige Cardstock and Very Vanilla Cardstock. This die set is available in Online Exclusives, and you can see the entire set in my Product List below.
The background for my photography is another pattern of County Lace Designer Paper. You’re going to want it!

Next, I stamped the Textured Floral flowers in Flirty Flamingo, and in two new 2024-26 In Colors, Pretty In Pink and Peach Pie. After cutting the flowers with their Textured Floral Die, and curling with my Bone Folder, I attached them with Dimensionals. I love the watercolored look of this flower!
The bow is from new, Beige Bordered Ribbon, which I frayed, and attached with Glue Dots. And, speaking of dots, I added a few, new, 2024-26 In Color Resin Dots.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be Fun Family Occasions.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.
