I just received my delivery of “online exclusives,” and I’m having so much fun creating with them!

Stitches and Dots

I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2” X 5 1/2”, folded at 4 1/4”, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4” X 5 1/4”. After cutting, I attached the layer with Dimensionals.

Now for the fun part! I cut Basic White Cardstock with a Radiating Stitches Die, 2 5/8” X 4”, and embossed it with one of the new, Basics 3D Embossing Folders, giving it big, puffy dots.

After embossing, I layered it on Granny Apple Green Cardstock, 1/8” larger. Then, I glued them together, and attached it to the card front with Dimensionals.

Next, I used Blending Brushes to add three colors of ink to Basic White Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Tahitian Tide. Then, I used a Radiating Stitches Die to cut three hearts, and attached them with Dimensionals.

”XOXO” is from the Tropical Leaf Stamp Set, stamped in Tahitian Tide Ink.

Don’t you love the new products?

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Waves Masculine Birthday Card

The Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set and Waves Dies make great masculine birthday cards. The wave looks pretty stamped in all shades of green and blue, and I chose Coastal Cabana for today’s card. After stamping the wave on Very Vanilla Cardstock, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting.

Waves of Inspiration

Next, I stamped the pelican in Crumb Cake Ink, used its Waves Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. The two clouds were cut from Very Vanilla Cardstock, along with extra pieces for added dimension, and placed on Dimensionals. To complete the scene, the seagulls were cut from Coastal Cabana Cardstock, and glued flat.

“Happy Birthday” was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, cut with a Waves Die, and placed on Dimensionals. The open ends called for Linen Thread, which I taped to the back, before gluing the layer to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Fragrant Flowers for Global Design Project 385

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun color challenge, using Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, and Coastal Cabana.

I began with a Thick Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Very Vanilla Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Before gluing the layer, I embossed it with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.

Framed Flowers

Next, I stamped the flowers from the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used a Fragrant Flowers Die for cutting. I cheated a bit with the leaves, because I used a Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blend for coloring, since I didn’t have Coastal Cabana.

To add interest, I used a Fabulous Frames Die to cut a frame from Crumb Cake Cardstock. After placing the flowers on top of the frame, I attached both to the card front with Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “friend,” is from the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mint Macaron Ink (sticking with the color), used a Fragrant Flowers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

See how our designers used the colors, then create a design to hang in our gallery.

Come back Wednesday, 3/15, to see how I used the colors in a completely different way.

Poppy Moments To Remember

The Poppy Moments Dies have been a favorite from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, and ones I will “always remember.” For today’s card, the poppies were created with Fancy Flora Designer Paper, cut with a “detail” Poppy Moments Die, backed with Vellum Layering Designs, cut with a “frame” Poppy Moments Die. After gluing them together at the centers, I placed the flowers on Dimensionals.

“Always Remember”

The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die. Next, I cut two groups of leaves from Thick Basic White Cardstock, using two Poppy Moments Dies. See why I love these dies?

The sentiment, “always remember” is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Floral Gallery Die, and attached with Dimensionals.

Irresistible Butterfly Wishes For You

I’m having so much fun with the new, “online exclusive” Irresistible Blooms Bundle. For today’s card, I combined it with two additional die sets.

Butterfly wishes for you

I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. It was layered with Hello Irresistible Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Doesn’t it look like a cloudy sky? Then I used the long, Irresistible Blooms Die to cut another piece of Hello Irresistible Blooms DSP, and glued it in place. This takes some patience, because it’s a delicate die, but it’s worth it!

Next, I used two of the small butterfly dies from the Brilliant Wings Die Set to cut from yellow and pink portions of Hello Irresistible Designer Paper. After cutting, I attached them with Mini Dimensionals, and added Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

The words, “For you,” were cut with Love For You Dies from Thick Basic White Cardstock, including the backing, cut from Hello Irresistible Designer Paper.

Grandson’s Humorous Birthday Card

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, our blog hop theme is Party Time! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My grandson’s birthday was March 2; a milestone, 18 years! It’s hard to design a card for a young man, but I thought he would appreciate the humor from A Grand Kid Stamp Set.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details; Featuring: Alphabet A La Mode Dies, A Grand Kid Stamp Set, By The Bay DSP, Something Fancy Dies; #bythebay #agrandkid #alphabetdies #somethingfancydies #cardsforgrandchildren #humorouscards #cardsforkids #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #sumohr #birthdaycards

18th Birthday Card

I began with a background of By The Bay Designer Paper, layered on paper from the same pack. The first layer is 4″ X 5 1/4″, and the top layer is 1/8″ smaller, giving it a 1/16″ border. The layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Matching the gold streaks in the designer paper, I used the A La Mode Alphabet Dies to cut “18” from Gold Foil Sheets. To give the numbers dimension, I cut a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet the same size of the Gold Foil, adhered them together, placed the number dies on top of the Gold Foil, and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Then, I removed the numbers, leaving the backing intact until I was ready to attach them to the card front.

Next, I stamped the sentiments, “to an amazing Grandson,” and “no amount of money could ever show how much I love you…” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used Something Fancy Dies for cutting, and placed them on Dimensionals. I love how the Something Fancy Dies have layering dies, to add a nice border.

To complete the humorous sentiment, I stamped “…but here’s some anyway.” And, I added “Happy Birthday,” also from A Grand Kid Stamp Set. I stamped it in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and set it with the heat tool.

I went to the extra effort of giving the inside a border to match the front, and decorated the Basic White Envelope flap with another pattern of By The Bay Designer Paper. All of this may go unnoticed by my grandson, but he’s sure to enjoy the money:)

Thank you for visiting. Here we are in 2009; time flies!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 12th, when our theme will be Flowers in the Garden, showcasing cards/projects with flowers.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
