I just love these bees! Of all the Last-Chance products, the Honey Bee Stamp Set and Detailed Bee Dies are my favorite. The dies were out of stock for a while, but are available now, and you can order the two in a bundle (#153792) for a 10% savings. If this is on your list, I would order ASAP.

Bees Say “Hello”
These bees were made “golden,” using the heat embossing technique. I stamped the bees in VersaMark on Whisper White Cardstock, sprinkled them with Gold Embossing Powder, and used the Heat Tool for setting the powder to a shine. Then, I used their Detailed Bee Die for cutting.
TIP: Because the bees are small and detailed, I used Washi Tape to hold the die over the bee, before running it through the die-cutting machine.

I gave the bees a background of Ornate Floral embossing, with the same heat embossed gold. Then, I used an Ornate Layers Die to give it a pretty edge, and doubled it for thickness. Next, I used a Layering Circles Die to cut a hole for the bees, so they could go inside to make honey.
A second Ornate Layers Die was used for an additional “fancy” layer atop a Thick Whisper White card base.

Before adhering the layers, I tied Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around, and added a double bow. “Hello” is from the Honey Bee Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die.
My layout was from Freshly Made Sketches.

Today’s Poppy Moments flower has lots of sparkle.
This set will be continuing in the new, 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, but scroll to the bottom to see info on the “Last-Chance Products.”

Sparkling Poppy
I was excited to use my Poppy Moments Dies, because they are back in stock, and available at my store! Don’t you love this die-cut poppy from Sparkle Glimmer Paper? And, the set comes with a choice of flowers, leaves and flower centers. You can see the three I used, and the complete set can be seen in my Product List.
I highly recommend the Painted Poppies Stamp Set (#153827) to go along with these fabulous dies!

I used a Sponge Dauber to apply Melon Mambo Ink to the poppy, and Mint Macaron to the Whisper White Cardstock leaves. The flower’s center was cut from Night of Navy cardstock, matching the layer on the Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base.

The sentiment, “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go,” is from the Leave A Little Sparkle Stamp Set, and stamped in Night of Navy Ink.
I added a few Iridescent Sequins for a bit more sparkle. The Take Your Pick Tool makes picking up those sequins very easy. You can see this multi-tasking tool in my Product List.

How do you like my CAS (clean & simple) card with sparkle? I was inspired by The Paper Players.

I was also inspired by the colors from Global Design Project.

The Little Ladybug Stamp Set, is oh so cute! And, one of the ladybugs is featured on today’s “fun fold” birthday card.

Ladybug random drawing
If you missed out on this adorable stamp set, you just might be the winner of my random drawing! Everyone who orders a minimum of $100.00 April 22-April 30 will be entered, and I’ll announce the winner May 1!

I began today’s card by cutting Thick Whisper White Cardstock in half, lengthwise at 4 1/4″. This will give you two card bases. Then, I scored each end at 2 3/4″, folding them to meet in the middle. This is called a “Gate Fold,” and I love it because of its simplicity.
Next, I embossed the card front with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder, one side at a time, and my “Gate Fold” was ready to decorate.

First, I stamped the ladybug in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and colored her with Stampin’ Blends. The colors are named in my Product List below.

The rainbow colored die-cuts (Ornate Borders Dies) were on my work table, because I’ve been having fun with the 2018-2020 retiring “In Colors.” The colors I used for the rainbow stamping are: Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, and Call Me Clover.

To complete the inside of my “Gate Fold” card, I used a stripe from Bird Ballad Designer Paper, topped with Whisper White Cardstock, cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. Then, I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Little Ladybug Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink that matches the “Hey Lady!” on the card front.
Also, I added some snipped some flowers from another rainbow, Ornate Borders die-cut.

The five retiring colors will be in demand, and there’s a limited supply. If you want ink, paper, pens, and embellishments in these colors, you need to order now while they are available.
If you would like to see all of the “In Color” products, click on my “shop” button, and you’ll see “shop by color” on the left side. Then, click on 2018-2020 In Colors.
In addition to your chance to win the Little Ladybug Stamp Set, EVERYONE who places a minimum $50.00 order in April will receive The Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.

Today’s Mother’s Day card uses the same Timeless Tropical design as yesterday, but with a change in the color scheme.

Black, White & Bright
First, I stamped the palm trees, followed by the five leaves, in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. So far, this is #simplestamping.
Then, I stamped the blossoms in four ink colors: Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.

It was fun coloring the blossoms with matching Stampin’ Blends, and cutting the blossoms with the In The Tropics die. I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything. Plus, when stamp sets and dies come in a “bundle,” you can save 10%. I’ve shown them both ways in my Product List below.

“Happy Mother’s Day” is from the Tea Together Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink. I stamped the sentiment first, instead of last, learning from yesterday’s mistake.
Today’s black, white, and bright version called for a Basic Black card base.

If you missed yesterday’s Sepia card, here it is:

Mother’s Day is less than a month away, so that is the occasion I chose for today’s card. My mother-in-law, and daughter, have spent special time in Hawaii, and I knew Stampin’ Up! had the perfect images to create my design. You can see details of the images by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.
I decided to stamp the images, from the Timeless Topical Stamp Set, in Soft Suede Ink, making it a Sepia creation.

Sepia Tropics
First, I stamped the palm trees, followed by the five leaves, on Whisper White Cardstock. So far, this was #simplestamping.
Then, I stamped four blossoms in Soft Suede Ink, and gave them some “color” with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend.

Next, I used an In The Tropics Die for cutting the blossoms, and placed them on Dimensionals. In keeping with the Sepia idea, the card base is Soft Suede.

“Happy Mother’s Day” is from the Tea Together Stamp Set, stamped in (you guessed it) Soft Suede Ink. I should have stamped the sentiment first, instead of last, in case of error. Fortunately, it was good, and my Sepia Mother’s Day card was complete.

Since I needed two cards with an Hawaiian theme, I was wondering how the design would look in black and white with bright blossoms. If you visit my blog tomorrow, I will show you!

Thank you for hopping by today! I appreciate you!

During these trying times of COVID-19, I am especially thankful to those making sacrifices for the good of all.

Many Thanks
Today’s “many thanks” card was inspired by the Fusion challenge. You can see where I found my idea from the photo and sketch.

First, I used an Ornate Layers Die to give detail to Basic Black Cardstock, which I layered on the card base. Then, I cut a Basic Black, floral strip, using an Ornate Borders Die.
TIP: I snipped an end to make it fit nicely across the card front.

Next, I used a Stitched Shapes Circle Die to cut a circle in the layer. Using the same circle die, I cut a circle from Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper to inlay.
TIP: I spent some time finding the right poppy.

“Many Thanks” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and made a bit shorter to fit properly. I used the heat embossing technique; stamping the sentiment in VersaMark, sprinkling with White Powder, and setting with the Heat Tool.

I’m also sharing with Seize the Heroes.

Thank you for visiting today. Stay safe, stay well, and have a thankful heart! My supplies for today’s card are in the Product List below.
