Wow! It’s already May, and I’m excited to announce the winner of last month’s drawing for the Little Ladybug Stamp Set! Congratulations Gretchen! I’ll be sending you an email.
There’s more exciting news you won’t want to miss, so keep scrolling after today’s card instructions.
The Music From The Heart Stamp Set is retiring, and it’s included in the Last-Chance Product List you’ll find at the bottom of this post. If you love the artwork and sentiments as much as I do, order it now while it’s still available.

Musical Thanks
Today’s card began by stamping the curvy keyboard in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped five times, in a row, and used a Layering Circles Die for cutting. Next, I layered the keyboards on a circle of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock, cut with a scalloped Layering Circles Die, a spec larger.
TIP: Because the keyboard stamp is photopolymer, I was able to see through it to “eyeball” the placement.

Besides being see-through, photopolymer stamps have other good qualities. For instance, I was able to bend the stamp to conform to the shape of the circle. Before attaching the circle of keys, I stamped “just a note” in Call Me Clover Ink.

I completed the sentiment with “of thanks,” stamped in Call Me Clover Ink, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. This is a great die set that has been out of stock, but it is available now. YAY! You can see the entire set in my Product List.

For the background, I stamped the staff in Memento Black Ink, and used a Lasting Elegance Die to cut the border. I just love this border, don’t you? It lets the Call Me Clover card base peek through.

I was inspired by the Fusion challenge; the photo colors, theme, and sketch.
Now for exciting news!

I’m glad Geared Up Garage is sticking around, because it’s great for masculine birthday cards.
The Geared Up Garage Stamp Set and Garage Gears Dies are listed in the “Last-Chance” Products, as a bundle. They will be in the new 2020-2021 catalog, but no longer available as a bundle. So, if you like the sets, get them now in a bundle for a 10% savings.

Geared Up
How do you like the shiny gears? I used a Champagne Foil Sheet, and a Garage Gears Die for cutting.

The background was created with the oil stain stamp from the set, stamped in Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Inks.

I stamped the sentiment, “All geared up to celebrate,” in Memento Black Ink, and used the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.

My inspiration was from Freshly Made Sketches.

This is the last day for your chance to win the Little Ladybug Stamp Set. Everyone who orders a minimum of $100.00 April 22-April 30 will be entered, and I’ll announce the winner May 1!

In addition to your chance to win the Little Ladybug Stamp Set, EVERYONE who places a minimum $50.00 order in April will receive The Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.

Here is Stampin’ Up’s recently released list of retiring items, so click here, then click on “Last-Chance Products” in my store. Order those bundles now while you get the 10% savings!

The Clubhouse Stamp Set and Golf Club Dies will be retiring June 2, and available only while supplies last. It’s one of the Last-Chance Products, and you can purchase it as a bundle for a 10% savings. The sets can also be purchased separately, and all are in my Product List below.

Greatest Guy
How do you like the golfer’s background? It’s a fun technique that I created with Acrylic Block H. I inked the block on the stamp pad, and stamped it directly on the 4″ X 5 1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock. The top color is Pool Party, followed by Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.
TIP: I cleaned the block with a Baby Wipe after each color, and covered my table top to protect it from ink going over the sides. These are things you probably know, but I can get into a creative frenzy and make a mess!

A nice open space was left for the sentiment. How convenient was that! I stamped “You’re the greatest guy by par” in Pretty Peacock Ink right on the card front. Then, I stamped it a second time on another piece of Cardstock, used a Golf Club Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.

The golfer is also in the Golf Club Die Set, and cut from Pretty Peacock Cardstock, which matches the Pretty Peacock card base. There is a stamp to give the golfer detail, but he is a solid silhouette on this card.
The final detail was his golf ball, which he hit very close to the pin!

I was inspired by Global Design Project.

In case you missed my original blog post, I want to make sure you know about my Little Ladybug Stamp Set drawing. You just might be the winner! Everyone who orders a minimum of $100.00 April 22-April 30 will be entered, and I’ll announce the winner May 1!

Have you put together a jigsaw puzzle lately? Since we have more “home” time, it’s fun, especially if you make your own!
The Love You To Pieces Stamp Set will be retiring June 2, and is one of the Last-Chance products. Follow the links at the bottom of my post to see the entire list.
I edited the bottom of this post to include exciting May news!

One piece at a time
I began by cutting the puzzle pieces with a Puzzle Pieces Die and three patterns of Ornate Gardens Designer Paper. Then, I layered them for thickness and placed them on Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped three lines from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and adhered this to a Mossy Meadow card base.
TIP: Using the Stamparatus insured my lines would be straight and even.

The sentiment, “one piece at a time” seems apropos during COVID-19; a reminder that we need to take “one day at a time.”

My layout was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.

This heat embossed bouquet is from Stampin’ Up’s “early release” Ornate Garden Suite. You can order it right now by clicking on its picture in my Product List below.
Keep scrolling to see my exciting news for the month of May!

Ornate Style Bouquet
The bouquet is from the Ornate Style Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark on Crumb Cake Cardstock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. You can see all the items in my Product List below.

Next, I used a Stitched Rectangles Die to give the bouquet a nice border. This was followed by cutting a Pool Party Cardstock layer, one size larger. Then, I cut a Whisper White Cardstock layer with an Ornate Borders Die, and glued all three to a Crumb Cake card base.

Prior to gluing the layers together, I strung two flowers and a tag around the top two layers with Linen Thread. Aren’t the flowers cute? They were cut from Pool Party Cardstock with an Ornate Borders Die, and the holes can serve a purpose, like buttons.
The tag was cut with a Bouquet Bunch Die, and stamped with “for you” from its coordinating, Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. They are now “Last-Chance” items, and you can check them out by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.

I’m hanging this card in The Paper Players gallery.

Every day is someone’s birthday, and who doesn’t love receiving a handmade birthday card?
Since my birthday is in May, I edited the bottom of this post to include my exciting news for the month of May.

Happy b*day
Using die-cut letters is so much fun, and these have been a favorite from the Hand-Lettered Prose die set. The “dot” is a Bouquet Bunches Die. Both sets are two of my favorite “Last-Chance” products, so order soon if you HAVE to have them! Clicking on the pictures in my Product List will take you to them.
I cut the letters from scraps of Designer Paper, and double layered them for thickness. I used matching colors of cardstock for layering, and you’ll find the four colors named in my Product List. Aren’t they pretty together?

The background is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with an Ornate Layers Die, and embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder.

“Happy” is from the Well Said Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.
Finally, I HAD to add some sequins, and the Woven Threads Sequins matched the colors perfectly!

Today’s theme was inspired by TGIF.

And, the colors are from Fab Friday.
