Today’s project began with the wonderful Christmas tree from the Winter Woods stamp set. I wanted to stamp it directly on a piece of Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper. So, I used my Stamparatus, making it easy to stamp two colors of ink, as well as VersaMark.
Winter Woods Christmas Tree
Once the Frosted Floral DSP was positioned, I inked the Christmas tree stamp with Tranquil Tide ink, and pressed it to the DSP. Next, I cleaned the stamp (leaving it on the Stamparatus) and inked the stamp with Mint Macaron, pressing and cleaning as I did the first time. Then, I used the VersaMark in the same manner as the inks, and my tree was ready to be sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder. After setting the powder with the Heat Tool, my Christmas tree had a fabulous shine.
I layered my art piece on Tranquil Tide cardstock to match the card base, which I layered on Mint Macaron cardstock. The Subtle Textured embossing made the Mint Macaron cardstock come to life.
“Christmas” was stamped in Tranquil Tide Ink on a piece of the same Frosted Floral DSP. I used a label die from the Merry Christmas die set for cutting, and rolled it through the Big Shot with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. It looks like a piece of fabric, doesn’t it? It even felt soft, so I layered it, making it sturdy on the dimensionals.
For additional shine, I used Sparkle Glimmer Paper to cut the word “Merry.” “Merry” is from the Merry Christmas die set. The Sparkle Glimmer Paper was also used for the three pine sprigs from the Night Owl die set.
For the last bit of sparkle, I sprinkled my card with Iridescent Sequins. They aren’t in my Product List, but they are item #144212, if you want to add them to your collection.

I’m naming today’s project, “Penguins and Plaid.”
Penguins and Plaid
The design is one I’ve used previously, so I’m casing (copy and selectively edit) myself. It seemed just right for this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge.
The cute, little penguins are from the Making Every Day Bright stamp set, and cut with the handy, Christmas Bulb Builder Punch. I stamped them in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, and colored their caps with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend marker.
The penguins are surrounded by a banner from the Banners for You stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede ink, and cut with a die from the Bunch of Banners die set.
Placing the words on the banner would have been difficult, without the help of my Stamparatus.
The Stamparatus is a positioning tool that gives me confidence when stamping. I placed the three words on the banner, pressed the “lid” to make the words stick, lifted the lid, inked the words in Cherry Cobbler, and pressed the words to the banner. I inked a second time to make the words darker. This tool amazes me!
The silver bar is a magnet that holds the paper in place, so you can stamp multiple times.

For the background, I chose my favorite plaid from the collection of Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. I layered this on Soft Suede cardstock on a Thick Very Vanilla card base.

I was in the mood for a “quick & easy” Christmas card today. The Detailed Deer dies create beautiful cards, without needing much in additional elements.
Copper Foil Deer
This deer was cut from Copper Foil, and then rolled through the Big Shot with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. To coordinate with his Copper fur, I found a piece of Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper in Merry Merlot with copper highlights. I cut a 2″ strip of the DSP, and used the Banner Triple Punch on the bottom. For the top, I used a die from the Botanical Tags die set.
I wanted to use a tag on today’s “quick & easy” card, because of the challenge at Global Design Project.
The Joyous Noel DSP has some Gray Granite also, so this is the color I chose for layering on the Merry Merlot card base. For some extra dimension, I embossed the Gray Granite layer with the Simple Stripes embossing folder.
The sentiment, “Tis the Season,” from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, is stamped between the lines in Merry Merlot ink. To complete the design, I added three Copper Foil doodads from the Detailed Deer die set.
A Detailed Deer could combine with all of the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper to make a stack of “Quick & Easy” Christmas cards. I’ll be making more of these!

The theme for this month is “sorry.”
How about a giant, floral, “SORRY” to make someone feel better?
Big Floral “SORRY”
“SORRY” is made with the Large Letter dies, and pink floral Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. I double layered the letters with Powder Pink cardstock, which matches the Powder Pink card base. Then, I glued the letters to the Smoky Slate cardstock layer, after giving it some texture with the Subtle embossing folder. But, what about the “O” in “SORRY?”
My little gal from the Hand Delivered stamp set wanted to participate. She said she wanted to hold up her sign saying, “Hope you feel better soon.” I thought it was a good idea, except there wasn’t room for her in the space available. She came up with a plan to take the place of the “O” in “SORRY.” I agreed it was fine, as long as she could blend in with the flowers.
I think she did a fine job. She stamped herself in Smoky Slate, with a Basic Gray sign, and colored her legs and hands with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend. She was able to match her skirt to the Petal Promenade DSP. Amazing, huh!? And, she used the same DSP to make the flowers at her feet with a Bouquet Bunch die.
She positioned herself on dimensionals, and my card was complete. Oh, she did have to bend over and color her shoes with a Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. She said, “shoes are important!”
I think comfortable shoes are important, so I hope your feet feel comfortable today.

This is Snowball, ice-skating across a Christmas card. I will be mailing it to a friend (in December) who said that snowmen are her favorite.
Snowball Ice-skating
I began with Snowballs’ background on Shimmery White cardstock, cut with the largest Stitched Shapes square die. The Shimmery White cardstock withstands water coloring, which I did with my Aqua Painter and Pool Party ink pad.
After drying and flattening the square of background under the weight of a heavy book, I stamped Snowball in Basic Black ink, and colored “her” (a female snowman) with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. The colors are listed in my Products List below.
The Spirited Snowmen stamp set has a great stamp with snowflakes that I stamped in Basic Black ink three times across a 1″ strip of Shimmery White cardstock.
I needed the snowflake strip for my layered card I was building for this week’s Paper Players challenge.
Beneath Snowball and the strip is a rectangle of Pool Party cardstock embossed by the Swirls & Curls folder.
Snowball, the strip, and the Swirls & Curls layer, were bordered with Basic Black cardstock for additional layering.
The sentiment, “your friendship warms my heart” (Spirited Snowmen stamp set) is perfect for this card, and my friend. I used a Bunch of Banners die for cutting, and added a little Enamel Shapes heart.
Snowball and the sentiment are boosted on dimensionals, and all was adhered to a Bermuda Bay card base. The three sparkly snowflakes were the final detail, cut with a Seasonal Layers die from Sparkle Glimmer Paper

Today’s project is clean & simple, while having some great dimension.
Copper Foil Merry
I began by using the Big Shot to cut the word “Merry” (Merry Christmas die set) from Copper Foil. I wanted to raise “Merry” on my Whisper White cardstock, but the letters are too narrow for dimensionals. There is nothing like the Corrugated embossing folder to add extra dimension without using dimensionals!
Now that I had my focal point, I needed to add some Christmas cheer, without going overboard. I decided on copper splatter, and I found the perfect, non-messy, stamp in the Waterfront stamp set.
First, I stamped the Waterfront stamp on the Versamark pad, then on the Whisper White cardstock (above and below my focal point). Second, I sprinkled this with Copper powder, shaking off the excess. Third, I shot it with the Heat Tool until it was set.
You can see how it shines, and matches “Merry” in the photo above.
After adhering my art piece layer to a Thick Whisper White card base, I needed a few more sprigs to complete my clean & simple card. The Whisper White branch and Cherry Cobbler berries are from the Frosted Bouquet die set, and the Garden Green pine boughs are from the Night Owl die set.
