The stamp set with the envelope liner, is how I thought of the Beautiful Promenade set, page 107 of the annual catalog. The liner was definitely my incentive for purchasing it. However, since working with the bundle, I’ve discovered other wonderful things about it.
For instance, the circular, geometric die is amazing! Doesn’t it look like a bowl for my floating flower in this card? This was purely by accident. I’ll be doing a lot more die cutting with this gem!
Beautiful Promenade
And, How about the pretty flower and leaves?! I love that they have dies for quick and easy card making.
Another great thing are the sentiments. Today’s project is a sympathy card, and the the sentiments in the Beautiful Promenade stamp set are perfect. I stamped “You’re stronger than most” on the front, and “…but even the strong need a shoulder to lean on. I’m here for you,” on the inside.
This picture also shows the die for cutting the envelope liner. The striped liner is a piece of Regals 6X6 Designer Series Paper. It’s nice to have sympathy cards on hand, and ready to send.
I used the Subtle Textured embossing folder for added interest, surrounded by a Blackberry Bliss border from Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper. The final touch was the three, little pearls.
The colors were inspired by this week’s Global Design Project color challenge.

Welcome to the What Will You Stamp? challenge. Today we are featuring the Winter Woods stamp set, which just might be my favorite set in the Stampin’ Up 2018 Holiday catalog.
Winter Woods Trimming the Tree

I began my card by stamping the row of trees in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I ran this stamped, cardstock through the Big Shot, using the Softly Falling embossing folder to make snow. And, lickety-split, I glued my embossed cardstock to the Thick Whisper White card base,
Shaded Spruce and Old Olive are the ink colors I used for stamping the Christmas tree on Thick Whisper White cardstock. After stamping, I used the tree’s die from the In the Woods die set for cutting. Before attaching the tree to the card front on dimensionals, I dabbed the tree with a Baby Wipe to give it the effect you see.
I always imagine that little birds are decorating the trees in the woods. Luckily, I found two birds, just the right size, in the Botanical Tags die set. It was very easy to snip the birds from their frame, after die cutting the tag from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
The banner the birds are hanging on the Christmas tree is made with Vellum cardstock, cut with the Duet Banner Punch. I stamped “Merry Christmas” from Santa’s Sleigh stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. The words are photopolymer, which enabled me to bend the words in the shape of the banner.
I have a feeling this will be a Christmas card I’ll be making in quantity this year.

I think I’m in love with my Stampin’ Blends by Stampin’ Up! I can’t stop looking at them!
Su Mohr’s Stampin’ Blends
I ordered the first half of the colors as soon as they were available. They were held neatly in a box, laying horizontally, as directed. But, when I received my second shipment, I wanted to be able to have them easily accessible.

Crafter’s Companion Spectrum Noir Marker Storage Trays, 6/Pack
The colors are listed in the Annual Catalog on page 205. You can order them individually, or they come in combo packs of a Light and Dark in each color.
Additionally, there are fantastic colors in the Holiday 2018 Catalog! I almost overlooked some, because they are spread throughout the pages.
Not only do I like looking at my Stampin’ Blends, they are my “go to” for coloring.

The penguin in the Making Every Day Bright stamp set is so cute! I was anxious to stamp him in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock, and punch him out with the Christmas Bulb Punch. Stampin’ Up’s idea of fitting him within the bulb shape was very clever!
I could envision him peeking out between “something.” That something turned out to be a triple banner from the Banners for You stamp set. I stamped it in Old Olive ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock, and cut it with the die from Bunch of Banners.
My idea to use the triple banner originated from this week’s CAS(E) this sketch:

STAMPARATUS
The Stamparatus positioning tool came in handy for completing the sentiment on the banner. I placed the three words on the banner, pressed the “lid” to make the words stick, lifted the lid, inked the words in Real Red, and pressed the words to the banner. I inked a second time to make the words darker. This tool amazes me!
The silver bar is a magnet that holds the paper in place, so you can stamp multiple times.
The color of the banner in the picture is Soft Suede, because I made a second card using different colors.
The penguins needed Real Red (Stampin’ Blends) caps, before gluing them to the banner. The banner was placed on dimensionals on top of several layers. The card base is Thick Whisper White, topped with Old Olive cardstock, Real Red cardstock, and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.
The Real Red Mixed Satin bow completed the design for this “Merry Christmas Wishes” card. Oh, I forgot to mention, the words are from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set. It’s a great set, because you can mix and match the words. It’s missing from my Product List also, but everything else is there, just keep scrolling.

This must be Rudolf, flying through stenciled vines made by the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper.

We’ve identified Rudolf by his nose so bright, thanks to a red, Enamel Shape from Santa’s Workshop. And, thanks to Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, Rudolf has camouflaged fur. His beautiful shape was made with a Detailed Deer die, and I backed him with Tranquil Tide cardstock for some extra body.
Stenciling
I stamped the stenciled vine several days ago, and used the “stencil” on a wedding card. The vine that remains from Sponge Daubing Tranquil Tide ink onto Whisper White cardstock is what you see today.

After trimming the stenciled vine, I glued it to a Thick Whisper White card base. The card base was given texture by the Subtle Textured embossing folder.
I stamped “Happiest Christmas Wishes,” from the Dashing Deer stamp set, directly on the stenciled vines with Tranquil Tide Ink. The Stamparatus insured it would be error free. Whew! I didn’t want to mess up, since I saved the sentiment for last. A mistake could have been covered with a label, but don’t you like the way it looks within the vines?

If you are new to following my blog, I need to explain that my cat insists on making occasional appearances. He always prefers sitting backwards, but today he wanted to turn around. Cat is very proud of his face, because he talked Best Bunny into sharing it with him. I agreed, because it looks as much like a cat as a bunny, don’t you think?
Cat has a face
Cat chose Wood Textures Designer Series Paper for his striped fur, and wanted to sit on a birthday card. I know the reason; it’s because he likes balloons. The problem is, he accidentally pops them with his claws.
The three balloons on strings were created with the Blow Out the Candles stamp set, and their die from Candles and Confetti. Incidentally, you can buy the two in a bundle and save 10%, which is what I did.
The large balloon under Cat’s paw was cut with the Balloon Bouquet Punch, and the writing, “Happy Birthday to you” is from the Best Bunny stamp set.
I colored the balloons with Stampin’ Blends in three colors, as Cat suggested: Light Highland Heather, Dark Pool Party and Dark Pineapple Punch.
Cat let me decide the background, and I chose to emboss Whisper White cardstock with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.
Cat always likes to show off his cards in a challenge, so the white, embossed, background would be good for this week’s Global Design Project. Plus, he promised to stay in the lower, left-hand corner.
We both thought it would be a good idea to decorate the envelope flap. The 6X6 inch Designer Series Paper works perfectly. There’s a color to match every single Stampin’ Up color. Highland Heather from the Subtles Collection matches two of the balloons.
Thanks for letting Cat introduce himself to you. He’s very pleased, and said he would behave. I just hope he doesn’t pop that balloon.
